Overall we love the floor plan we chose. The quality of the final touch ups on the paint are not that great. Also only one coast of paint seemed to be used so cleaning up marks on the walls do not go well. Working with most of the builder’s reps has gone ok with one exception. We were offered a refrigerator as an incentive and chose one, but a lesser price one was delivered.

Again, the whole process was great. Allison was an excellent contact/realtor that work with Us, she’s great with updates on where we at, the only downside of it was the delay in installing the meter which made us stay for a week in a hotel since key turn over was push back 2 times, we know it’s beyond builder control but it can still be avoided on my opinion if key turn over was scheduled after meter was installed. Over all experience was great 4 stars instead of five because of this hiccup.

The how was in pretty good shape the only essues were in the delay of the build.

Since the move in date was pushed back from June 16th to July 22nd I rated the experience as 4 stars. The move in date was changed 3 times and I lost $3,000 due to the home not being available on July 22 because the flooring was not fixed and finally was ready on July 23rd. I lost the deposit on the movers and had to “rent back” my former home because of all of the delays.

Overall good experience. Would I purchase new construction in the future? Maybe not. There were a lot of cosmetic issues throughout the house that I feel were a result of rushed work. However that seems to be the nature of the game. For the price I think it was a great experience. Definitely recommend having a realtor and someone who understands the financial side, we did not have either and I feel like our experience suffered because of that. Overall I am very pleased with my new home.

My overall experience was really good. I looked at these homes for about a year before I purchased. Debbie was always so kind and upbeat each time she saw me. She kept me abreast of pricing and waitlists. I ended up buying a house bigger than the one I was initially looking at for cheaper! This was my first home so I really had no idea what all was involved, let alone going through the process of it being built. Shannon helped me SO much. She was available when I had questions or concerns. She was patient and explained things in layman's terms. She was the best. I do not think I would have been able to get through the process without her. The house has a few issues that have come up. Very small though. Cabinets are scratched, toilet seat cracked, chipped stucco, and shower door height being too short (I'm 5'9"). Nothing that could not be fixed though. Lacy and I are very happy with our home that your amazing team built is here at Soltice. Allison , Brian and Andy were helpful through the whole process. I’m also in the business of building homes and have an eye for defect. Although I picked out a lot of items at the walk though all were addressed at the sign off. My family are so happy with the home !

Overall everything has been okay, the sales process was pretty great and we were informed about everything along the way. My main concern is that we had a walkthrough and while we noticed a lot of cosmetic things to be addressed, after signing off, there were a lot of things that were missed because you would need to be living in the home. One thing that bothers me is that the day after we moved in, I noticed that a vehicle (most likely a workers backing into our driveway as a turn around) hit our garage door and dented the bottom of it. The builder said that since we signed off they wouldn't fix it. Also I noticed a lot of scratches on windows in the home that you wouldn't notice unless you were right up against it and the light shining just right. I was told that those too would not be fixed. Also noticed that the lights in the master bathroom are not evenly placed above the vanities so they are all at different heights. I just think the quality of the workmanship could of been better and the builder should of offered to at least fix the windows and garage. ... More

Our buying experience with this Builder was overall great! Would recommend to others looking to purchase new home build.

Overall experience bot good and not so bad. First of all, I supposed to close on my house in 10/30/23 and I closed on 01/30/2024. Secondly, I had an electric issue and outage in my house. They sent electrician every time I requested wasn’t able to fix the problem for over 2 months. Outage happened few times while guests were there. I had to pay fine and they didn’t compensate me. Bad experience, bot recommended

Allison, the sales agent is very helpful when I have questions and concerns. However, Tom did the sloppy job repairing broken retaining block walls. And before moving into residence, Tom refused to replace kitchen sliding screen where it has a hole. Not happy!

Warning: After closing escrow on my new home in late September and after only two days as a home owner, a major plumbing issue was discovered. The plumbing wouldn't allow the toilet water to flush properly. I worked feverishly to minimize the damage after a flood. A plumber arrived and determined there was a blockage in the drain system that required jackhammering the foundation. The following day, a contractor arrived and inspected the drains with specialized camera equipment that confirmed the problem - a pipe fitting and cement blockage due to "improper installation and carelessness" had caused the problem This was missed by the contractors team when it was hastily thrown together and also missed by an inspector. After two and a half days of jackhammering and desicrating the new tile floors, the technician was able to show us the faulty pipes and installation. (see photos attached) It took approximately 3 weeks from the start of locating the problem, replacing the floors to clean up the mess. The entire house had to be scrubbed as the tile dust seeped into every cabinet and drawer. The contractor used mismatched tile and grout to conclude the project. Compared to the original tile that was laid, this job was inferior. Currently, we are still waiting on the master bedroom vanity that was destroyed from the water damage. (See attached photos) When we inspected the home for move in, there was an improperly installed door frame. The construction manager took notes and promised to fix it. I told him that the frame was damaged to the point where a full replacement was the only way to fix the problem properly. He replied “we’re going to nail it." The stucco at the base of the door frame was also not properly applied, causing the base to flare out. (See attached photos). After sharing my concern, I was confident the repair would be properly fixed. Sadly, two days later, the contractor patched the door frame using his one nail method. It was horribly evident that there was a patch instead of a replacement. I pointed this out to a Senior K. Hovanian senior manager that came out to meet with me over the door frame and several other quality concerns, he agreed with me that it was not leveled and properly repaired. We are in November, and my calls for replacement and repairs have either been ignored or handled in a slow and unprofessionally and unacceptable way. It's been well over a month since the close of escrow. The excitement and anticipation that my daughter displayed a month ago has been snuffed out. Her dream of walking into her first house, crisp, clean, and untouched has been replaced with anxiety and disappointment. The promises made to her by a misleading K Hovnanian management team have been a harsh dose of reality that she had to learn too soon. We are also dealing with a list of other issues that are being addressed with the same lack of urgency. The list follows: Wall stains, multicolor walls, patch painting, poor wall textures, dented front entry door, poor paint finishing, missing baseboard trim, poor baseboard installation, misalignment of ceiling light trim, poor stucco quality finishing, cement splatter of wood trim, poor stucco repair, scratched/damaged exterior lighting fixture, bathtub repairs, and an extreme amount of construction debris surrounding the home itself. ... I've had the worst experience and it's such a shame as I was so excited to be a KHovnanian home owner. The lack of attention to detail is disheartening. When asking to remove the paint stains in the carpet before moving in caused a permanent stain on my carpet. The closet had to be redone for lack of sturdy completion. The closet fixer walked into my home and dragged all his muddy shoes on my carpet, pictures were taking and sent in, carpet cleaner hired, he was extremely aggressive with his services causing straches all over my walls ( mind you the paint stains on the carpet were not be able to be removed even though he was brought in for mud, so im living with stains on my carpet that I did not do,) concrete was called in for cracks needing to be fixed and now my master suite restroom is going to be gutted as the foundation is broken. I havent been able to use the left side of my restroom for the sinking whole. A new stranger will enter my home. Ive had 5 people eneter my home, in the middle of a pandemic, when i have elderly parents living with me, risking exposure for the lack of your worksman. I will never by a Khovnanain home again or recommend to others. This is a brand new home and these are the problems ive faced in the first month. ... More
