Great builder but slow in response to warranty issues.

The selection of homes was nice, and sales agents were helpful. What we didn’t like is that the house felt rushed. The backyard was sloped which was not explained to us, we would have never chosen this lot if that was the case. There was a lot of construction debris left (nails, wood, metal) on the front, side and back of house. Painting in the house was rushed there was lots of overspray left behind on door knobs, hinges, and floors. Would be nice if fence was coated rather than bare wood

The Buying process was done all Virtually which was a bit scary as we could not see the home in person, K Hov and my realtor did and excellent job communicating with me and showing me as much as they possibly could. The home is beautiful almost meeting our “Dream home” we love everything about it. Their has been some issues with the build but the warranty team has been responsive maybe a little slower than expected. Overall me and wife are extremely happy with the home.

We have no problem with the first person assigned to us about bringing up what needs to be fixed/touch up in our new home,he was very responsive even on a weekend but khov change the person that who should he assisting us with our house concerns,the replacement is no lt as responsive as our first guy to the point that my WO expires and have to do it again and again due to scheduling,I did my best to tell him that my work schedule variea and communicating with him my my availabilty was.Still no fix,now Infound more things that needs to get fix and Ill open ticket again until this gets done

After sales support is not very good. I had tile from roof fall down into back yard, electrical outlets not working, master bedroom electric lights do or work unless you turn on bathroom lights. It Olga’s taken 4-5 weeks to even acknowledge these issues and they are still being scheduled

Be sure to make good notes i specifically asked for cement 10x10 to be done that way i dont do later on. Everyone seems to forget make sure old notes are matching with sales person!!!

Thanks from finance, support and administration, and service department for all their support and help regarding this home purchase process, but the material quality and the way the house build is very cheap and lots of issues observed during the walk through and after that even its model house, but a special thanks to service and support team to helping us fix these coming up issues.

Workmanship looks to be done in a haste. Seems like the house was put together very rapidly. Had major issues with ceiling fan plates as they were not set flush to the sheet rock correctly. Fire sprinkler pipe in common wall was not covered appropriately with “fire plate” to prevent puncture, and was accidentally struck when installing a TV. Construction company who Placed utility cable box easement was placed too far in on property line instead of on property shared line. I’m having to have it placed underground in order to expand my driveway width. Seems like they want the cheaper route with the tubular green capsules that stick out of the ground, which looks hideous. American Richmond homes property houses across the street did not have these in place. Everything was put underground. ... More

Leslye and Scott were fantastic to work with and were always flexible.

The entire process from start to finish was tedious as far as getting all the required documentation but the staff was patient and helpful as far as guiding you in getting it done in a timely manner The home is simple but elegant with quality in mind. The team was always there for you to answer your questions in a timely manner. The builder did is best to offer you a beautiful home despite the higher home cost, climbing tax rate, shortage of materials needed and increase in labor cost

I've been in contact with many home builders, but KHov team has been among the best teams to work with.

Although there were a handful of issues throughout the process, we absolutely love our new home! We understand that some of the issues were COVID related, however there was a lack of communication during the initial process. Bob (the foreman) was able to improve our experience and regain our trust by doing weekly updates and contacting us promptly when an issue arose. We are currently working with K Hovnanian’s warranty department to correct our master shower enclosure, hoping to have a good experience with them as well.

The sales and construction team were the best, they were always responsive, resourceful, and available to help. The sales team made this experience smooth, providing the information needed and support in a very human and professional manner.

I had never heard of K. Hovnanian Homes prior to this home buying experience. So far, I am happy with my home and would purchase a future home from this builder. In my first two months of living in my new neighborhood, I feel comfortable and secure, both inside and outside my home.

I am happy with this builder. The team member here are friendly, easy to reach out and response prompts. The houses designed are beautiful.

The design of the house is nicely done and the team, from the sales representative to the homeowner customer service workers, are very nice. The only thing I think it fell short was the interior painting.It should be done a better job. Overall, we are very happy with our new home.

The crew helping get you into a house is great

We bought two houses at the same time and assisted by the sale agent who was excellent in customer services.Thank you very much to Paula for helping us from A-Z in the process of purchasing two houses that was not the simple task. We received the the first house lot 70 that looked good on the walk through and we were satisfied . On the second house lot 66 there were some issues of workmanship with a lot of things need to be redone.However the follow up team did well on fixing it and the house was in satisfied quality now. Thank you.

I called to see if it was possible to reschedule it but no one got ever back to me and I almost had to rush back from work

Some design work isn't very elegant. Functional, but cheap looking. None of the of the motion switches were properly programmed. The lights were always going out until we got them setup. We weren't given the user manuals for any of the appliances. It took weeks of complaining to get the solar panels operational. The quality of the paint is cheap. The walls cannot be touched or wiped without leaving a mark . The house is beautiful as long as you don't look too deep.

We recently purchased a home in Roseville. Our community, Firefly is non HOA and neighbors are friendly. Our builder’s agent Tracee and construction manager were awesome and responded promptly to questions or concerns and gave us updates as needed. I just wish that a patio came with it but that is an upgrade! Our house came with some upgrades and kitchen looks fabulous. It is a smart home and would have been helpful to get more specifics on this. We are, however, disappointed KH warrant service department. We requested assistance with. a few things and only received emails that a manager would contact us. So far no one has called or responded. There was a broken piece on the fence before we moved in and that is not fixed yet. Also fence paint job by the subcontractor is awful. We will need to fix that. Other than aforementioned issues, we are happy with our new home. ... More
