My sales rep Heba was excellent she updated me every week up until my closing

This builder is great, but the responsiveness on issues with this he home is not so good.

Sales Department is great! John and Jen are great to work with.

Excuses, excuses, excuses; we admired how Mr. Hovnanian achieved the American dream. We trusted your word. Signed closing documents on October 4, even though work was incomplete trusting what the Hovnanian brand stands for. Today it’s Nov 2, you should see the pictures and read the excuses as to why my home isn’t ready for occupancy.

Definitely worth the buy. Love the customer serve sales rep.

Over all its good, but construction team and quality needs to be improved. As they are reluctant to answer and timely work.

Tiffany and Heba in the office helped make my home buying experience a lot easier. The process itself can be stressful but they are AMAZING! Tiffany was there through the entire process and honestly was the reason I decided on K. Hovnanian as I was also considering a KB home. Customer service has been top notch.

Buying a home is a big decision, take extra care on your decision when purchasing from Khovanian, What they think is completed vs my completed are vastly different. If I had to do it over, I would not pay for upgrades and I would use that money for contractors to come in and do it correctly. Their construction division and project management team is broken, they do not manage expectations with the customer. When you get your keys do not expect a clean home or detail work to be completed. I’ve lived in my new home for a month and they still need to paint my trim work, paint all the interior doors and get markings off the kitchen counters. I feel the painters were amateur and not professional. I have paint on all the mirrors and the amount of paint on my new floors is ridiculous. If I had to do it again…I don’t think I would!! ... Our entire experience with KHov has been nothing short of a nightmare, save for a small handful of amazing employees of KHov. KHov has taken what should be one of the best and most memorable times in our lives… and turned it into a living nightmare. This house is not a home, it’s only a house. We can’t even fall in love with it, as the list of defects is in the hundreds. Literally HUNDREDS of defects We can’t even invite friends and family over to our new house, purely out of embarrassment. We can’t fathom the embarrassment of showing off our unfinished house. There is crumbling concrete, mismatched paint sheens and shades. There is a missing attic cover. Every cabinet door is scratched, scraped, and/or damaged. The bathtub has a gouge in it. The sliding glass door frame was shaved in a half-assed attempt to cover up for damage and done so crookedly and looks terrible. There is a cracked window frame. One window has a sticker between panes of glass. The list goes on and on and on. It’s honestly shocking that any builder would have such low standards and poor quality-checks. ... More

Great management and great areas beautiful houses

Construction and sales staff had out lot off extra mile efforts to make the house complete on time. But there are very poor quality materials used across and are definitely can be improved. Turnaround to issues is very slow, it’s been quite sometime the issues raised to warranty team, and no one take responsibility to acknowledge for the issues to fix. I think there is more room to improve and would help for next constitution sites

Horrible! SO many things not built correctly indoor and exterior as well. Also, metal scraps on the carpet that was never cleaned and punctured and bled my foot. Now we are trying to get the items corrected but almost seems as if we were a bother or afterthough.

The staff are friendly and responsive. The house is well-made, it feels safe and sturdy, and it looks great! We love our new home :)

Sonhard to get hold of the salesperson Karam. She answers text messages/ e-mail after 4-5 days. We haven’t moved to the new home, but there’s already lots of “broken” things like the fence not properly installed, roof tile broken, etc, Few days after we moved, we almost got flooded because there’s leak on the kitchen sink.

Not delivered home on time. Pavements already have cracks no one came to fix those. Kitchen blackslash half done.. i was told it will go all the way top.. i have submitted service requests almost month happened no one came to fix those issues. Attic was not painted properly.. Clean up of home was not done properly..

There is a process missing. We only knew 1 person to contact in the whole home buying process. There is no backup when that person is off on her off days. Communication with 60 house owners is not easy for a single person. Things kept delaying and there was a lack of communication which improved a bit in between but again slowed down. As I said, 60 houses and 1 sales person is not easy for the person. Title signing was delayed multiple times. The title company is completely irresponsible it seems or again doesn’t have capacity to do so many houses. We had to travel from sunnyvale to modesto to get title signed to get keys the same day and that too there was no guarantee that keys will be handed over that day. My wife is pregnant and she had to travel back to sunnyvale immediately from modesto. Title company never responded back until late end of day. My apartment keys were supposed to be handed next day. I had appliances delivery next day. There were many things at stake. After getting the house, there was a different struggle to get things fixed. Again the same issue, 1 person to fix 60 houses. It’s too much of an ask from single person to handle 60 houses. Only after pushing the issues up the chain, things started moving. We thought buying an old house is stressful with bids and all. Even though the khov houses are good as of now, the mental stress was much much more than bidding on an older house. I will only recommend it if you can handle so much stress. ... More

I do have good experience with khov except service tickets.

All of the people we dealt with at K. Hovnanian were outstanding. Our sales person Jennifer, finance person Ross, builder Rick were all great to work with. Very professional and helpful throughout the entire process.

While my overall purchase experience was good, I think that K.Hovnanian drops the ball on their communication with their buyers. There were a few things that we were very disappointed with and it seems that upper management just kind of passed it on to their front line reps (the sales office) Although there was nothing that they could do personally (even I knew that) they tried their hardest to make it right. Example One - we were initially told that putting our earnest money in held the price of the home. Turns out it did not but the sales person that assisted us (not our sales person because she was out of the office) took zero responsibility for what she had told us and we were given zero consideration to the fact that this was done to us (and now the home was $16000 more) Instead I got the line that "My management said there was nothing we could do about that." That's fine, but at least own up to your error. Example two, We were delayed by 3 months. Our initial date in Feb, then March, then April. Causing me to go beyond my lease and pay a premium on my rent because I was month to month. When I asked for some type of compensations, the response was No our company does not do that. The only apology came from our salesperson. Also the fact that all of their options were as packages vs "A la Carte" really made me sad. While it maybe every day that you guys are selling the homes, its a monumental purchase for first time homebuyers. Decent quality houses but worst communication and post-purchase support. No team to help you or answer your question. You need to be fully dependent on the salesperson who will respond at his/her convenience.

We had a very honest and helpful agent which led us into purchasing this property. The closing and walk thru of this home was/is a nightmare. The mortgage team was deceptive and not there to help the buyer, we were promised a deal and had to argue and lost regardless of the evidence provided regarding his mistake. The superintendent wanted to argue major architectural flaws in the home, stating that regardless of our concerns he "can't and won't change it because of time". It ended up being done! After we closed, we have had a variety of issues with the home, such as a sink leak where the customer service representative refused until forced, to remove the dishwasher where the wall was notibly wet, because he assured us it was dry. Trying to have that properly addressed was a nightmare, having the wrong appliances installed was highly ranked up there with still no resolve. So, no we would never do it again. The craftsmanship is thd lowest I have ever seen and if things were monitored as our house was built than the buyer wouldn't have remorse moving into their finished product. ... More

We are Happy homeowners, feel so lucky we found this home Strategically located in highway 5 and 4 , beautiful design, affordable, quiet gated community, beautiful park, clean, the sales representatives are so helpful, great, very approachable, the down sides are in the house some problems like touch up, scratches, some stains on the ceiling, some of our upgrades they forgot but they fixed right away, the turnover kinda delayed we understand because of COVID but other than that everything’s great.

Sure a New Build may have some issues. We are humans. But turning a blind eyes to obvious issues shows no respect to your Luxury Home Buyers. Why do you look for your customers to overlook your lack of workmanship? An Honest company would walk through and take care of the obvious things. Now we’re working with our 4th warranty person having to explain the same things multiple times! Very disappointed and continue to be.

Buying a Khovanian home was a fun experience. Sales team was very helpful. When walk through a were scheduled they were during working hours, I do think a different time frame would be better. The home is beautiful in itself given that it’s new but as we live in it longer we do see defects that we have brought to the superintendent attention. I do understand that there is a delay and shortages due to Covid, but if things are done right the first time there is no need to go back and fix anything. Overall my experience was ok, there was a confusion on delivering my keys. Construction manager was holding on to them when we were standing outside our home. I didn’t expect it to be magical but I also didn’t expect to have to wait an hour for the construction manager to decide when he wanted to give me my keys. ... More
