After you buy new home from them they can not find contractors to fix a problem I had a very very bad experience with this when you face lots lots problems there builder use very cheep material and no good finishes work by no experience worker I feel like I get rob all work is crooked even house main entry door is crooked if you wana to know more just come to community to talk with people than you find out truth I wish owner this project to see this review and call me or come to talk to every house owner than he know what he done to us .

They installed the dead sod in lawn and never replaced. The house was super dirty when we moved.

Sales experience is nice but the quality of material used compared to model house is very bad even after selecting the level 5 upgrades. It took longer then anticipated to build the house but that is okay given the supply chain issues we had. However, after moving in we found lots of issues with quality and workmanship. The flooring was damaged, there were nails popping out of the floor. there were holes in the ceiling, doors were damaged, cat was trapped in HVAC filter (You heard it right, a living CAT). There is a long of list of issues. Its been 3+ months since we moved in and builder did not fix the issues till date. I raised the ticket so many times but most of the issues are not fixed yet. Looks like they dont care about the customers. The frustrating part is when they come to fix one issue, they end up damaging other things and they don't care. Its been so long and I am still waiting for them to fix the item they damaged. for example, the floor in my master bedroom was squeaking so they ripped the carpet carelessly and now it does not cover my floor properly. I would suggest before signing the contract have them add the clause that if there are issues in the house they must address it on priority within a week of creating ticket. if they dont agree? do not buy the house. It is not worth paying $700K to $1M for this quality. There are more well known builders in the area who gives quality home for much cheaper. ... More

None of the issues identified during the walkthrough a week before closing have been addressed . Most of these issues are still not resolved 2 months after closing . Wish atleast a few were addressed

We started the process in July 2021, sold our home Aug 2021 and was told closing would be March 2022. My family and I had to move 6 times because of lies on top of lies about our home. The customer service has been terrible along with the craftsmanship of our million home. Every single neighbor we have spoke to had nothing nice to say about their experience. We closed September 2022 and our home is not complete. 1 month in nothing they said they were going to do has been done. Totally regret ever going with this company.

So many issues in the construction and the builder don’t respond to fix the issues reported.Couple of design issue where bath room doors collide with the main doors in the guest room and refrigerator door collides with the pantry door and they don’t care to address the issue they simply say it is as per the design provided by the architect..Dishwasher door was colliding with the side wall of the counter top and was not in usable condition on the day we moved in.Overall not a good experience.I will have to wait and see how they respond to all issues reported.

We loved working with Rick and Ralph! They were both always so responsive and extremely helpful throughout the process. We got constant updates which was awesome :)

We chose Summit Pointe by KHOV due to it's location and initial pricing. The neighborhood is very nice and it's proximity to most amenities makes this location a very ideal spot. The whole buying process felt very rushed. Upon signing the sales contract, NO edits or revisions were allowed. Even small things such as moving an ethernet port from one room to another was not allowed. KHOV needs to realize that owner plans could potentially change after signing the contract. To be clear, we wanted some changes that were not structural to be implemented literally days after signing our contract. We understand that it's not feasible for design changes to occur weeks or months into the construction phases. The interior of the house seems to be very well built. We noticed that whoever designed the electrical outlets and switches did not consider room layout at all. Light switches are often tucked away behind doors, outlets are behind major furniture such as bed frames and certain light switches make no sense, especially in the kitchen. Why are the island light switches placed at the furthest point in the kitchen? The most glaring deficiency that many homeowners have complained about is the sad excuse of a driveway that leads to the garage. Some houses were optioned with 3 car garages. It is absolutely impossible to utilize the 3rd bay without absolutely destroying your lawn. There is plenty of room to pour a double wide driveway that would allow homeowners to park adequately without risk of damaging the fresh sod. Overall the house and location is desirable as the development is rapidly growing. Just be prepared for the typical new construction headaches. They have best models and colors to offer

Their lack of communication with the home buyer made our experience awful. We have built with other builders before and we never had a poor response to issues with them. The lack of knowledge of their homes designs, upgrades, and questions we had was poor. We felt like they didn’t care about us, in fact we received other peoples information from Hovnanian mortgage, which was concerning since it happen more then once. The way we received our settlement date was outrageous! We never received a formal letter, or any commutation that our home was going to settle near the date on our signed contracts! We always heard from our sales representative that settlement date is always subject to change. Three weeks prior to settlement they still had no idea? Please! We found out through a email chain, NO direct communication or formal letter!. Thank goodness we lock in our mortgage when we did, since our sales representative told us to wait for letter from Hovnanian regarding settlement date! Again, very poor communication! We our very thankful for our on site construction manager (Ralph) he was open, and communicated to us, he was the only thing that made our experience better! We had problems with our furnace before settlement and we are still having issues afterwards, no HEAT. Thank goodness again for the construction manager he was able see what was wrong. Unfortunately, we think this issue will not be solved, which worries us, since we lost heat again on Thanksgiving. We love our new home. The quality of construction is superb. All our friends and family members are at awe seeing the house!! Drew was outstanding. A thorough gentleman and a friendly professional! He attended to all our questions and issues with lots of patience and was very understanding of our concerns. Eban was awesome too. We highly rate Hovnanian and would recommend it to any home buyers.
