The inspection process needs to improve before the home was handed off to me. However, the warranty process is very good and Kristi, in warranty, is excellent. We also felt that our sales rep, Amanda, was great. With improvement in the inspection process, I would have given a 5-star review.

I would recommend KHov to anyone looking for a great value home. This is not entry level, I would say more mid but priced well and good staff helping the homebuyers!

The warranty department has been great, Brett, Nick, and Kristi. They are very responsive. However, the sales experience was not good, as the people in the front office were unpleasant. Also, since closing, we’ve had numerous issues that have needed to be repaired. The quality of the construction of the home and materials was unacceptable.

We've lived in our new K Hov home for three months and have found the fit and finish to be really bad. The low quality of cosmetic issues makes us wonder about the quality of the things we can't see. They are responsive to fixing issues, but these issues should have been fixed prior to closing.

I recently purchased a newly built home I am extremely pleased with my decision. The home is beautifully designed however the finishes are cheap and attention to the details was not done properly. As a result, I have many issues relating to my purchase and frustrations to go with it. The layout of the home is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, with spacious rooms, modern finishes, and plenty of natural light. The kitchen and bathrooms are particularly impressive, featuring top-of-the-line appliances and fixtures. The buying process was straightforward. The Mortgage was professional, knowledgeable, and responsive, making sure all my questions were answered and any concerns were addressed promptly. They provided excellent customer service from start to finish. Overall my experience with K. Hovnanian was good except that there were a lot of minor issues with the home and it has taken a lot of time to get the issues addressed and are still being addressed.

This is our third new home. This was the worst experience we have ever had. From initial salesperson to our closing that took five hours this was horrendous. We sent in a much more detailed review and documented timeline. The only positive we have is Kristi our warranty person. So many issues and we are not asking for them all to be addressed. Example - we are on our fifth main kitchen countertop being replaced and still not correct. Our upgraded stairs and beams needed immediate addressing or we were not moving in. The stairs are still not fixed to the condition agreed upon when purchased. The other upgrades are absolutely not worth the money, especially for the craftsmanship. We took over an hour to type the entire story so your company at some level is already aware and I am convinced you do not actually care as we had no one speak to us. Buying experience would have been better if not for Khovnanian's insurance. They did not notify us that we were not approved for insurance until after closing!! Totally unprofessional as we could have gone to another insurance prior to close. It was stressful knowing that we closed on our house but not insured. Horrible!! Heads should roll in the insurance department.

Victor, the builder, was exceptional in keeping me abreast of the progress of the construction, on a weekly basis. Through photos, videos, and text messages I felt very much informed throughout the construction process - I thank the builder immensely for the open and consistent communication as well as the excellent craftsmanship on my home; he was also very thorough in the last walkthrough before Closing, taking time and patience to explain everything to me. The Closing experience could be greatly improved, however, and a more concierge-type approach would have made for a smoother and more enjoyable process in the days leading up to, and on the day of Closing. As an out of town buyer the sales and PM team were accommodating to the process. Our specific options were incorporated to the build plan and we closed on time. Small repairs prior to closing and under warranty the months following were handled timely and to standards. Great team of professionals.

This is our 5th home purchase and by far the easiest. From our Sales Rep, Mortgage Rep, Closing Rep to our Construction Manager they made this Home purchase worth it. We got more square footage and upgrades for less than what we were looking at with Pulte in the same area. Every home new or old needs something corrected. We only had very minor issues that were quickly corrected. We highly recommend K Hovnanian.

Quality of this home is not what I expected.I had an irrigation system leak for a month in the yard and driveway that was soaked so bad youcan’t walk on it ,one of the leaks was spraying at the front door.After emailing and calling for a month it was finally resolved .The home have exterior doors not sealing properly causing bugs to enter.Some of the tile are cracked mail pops in the walls garage door binds when opening,Some interior doors not closing properly/a/c system not balanced properly hot upstairs in some of the bedrooms.

I was so excited in purchasing this home but wish I had a chance to decorate.

There was multiple follow ups after closing to ensure every was going well and to answer our questions. We highly recommend this builder for their quality of build and customer service attentiveness. Nightmare dealing with financial / lender. Overall the priority is NOT the buyer or their needs, it’s about money and nothing else. Not accommodating in any way. Will NEVER recommend or buy from this development again. On a positive note..Guy and Nick where great.

Marianna was awesome from the very beginning throughout the entire journey. She gave us the confidence we could do this when I kept thinking we can’t. I appreciate her for believing in us. I can’t say enough about the entire KHOV team. From my builder Sparky making everything happen to the financial folks ensuring my records were straight for submission. Overall, a great experience! As a first time home buyer, the process was very smooth. There were a few misunderstandings with the optional building choices that got cleared up quickly. Sparky and his team was always there to help and answer whatever crazy questions I had. Yoli was very sweet and checked in with me even while on maternity leave! Jamie was also amazing!!!! I continue to recommend friends and family to go with KHOV as I felt secure throughout the entire process. Only complaint was material shortages and that was no fault of the company.

My home buying process couldn’t have been better!

We rated our overall buying experience at 3 out of 5 stars. The sales process and the communication from our sales representative Larissa was great. It is once we began the closing process that our experience began to sour. Our pre-closing walkthrough was 10 days before our closing. Initially, our builder James seemed very helpful and provided a lot of useful information. But as the walk-through progressed, it was evident that he got more annoyed with the more things that we pointed out that needed to be fixed. Then during our final walkthrough on the day of closing, there were a number of items that had not been fixed. Some of these things, like a window sill that has brown discoloration were simply painted over. Once the paint dried on the window sill, it started bubbling and you can still see the discoloration beneath the hastily applied paint. The window sill issue had been pointed out during our first pre-closing walkthrough. Immediately after closing, and before moving our stuff in, we had a professional inspection done. We submitted the items that the inspector found to KHOV warranty to be repaired, along with a copy of the inspection report, and that is where the frustration really kicked in. KHOV’s responsiveness to repairing issues is dreadful. Our garage door has not operated properly since the second day after closing, and we have been promised for a month and a half now that someone will contact us to repair it. Two service providers have been assigned, and neither have reached out to us. There is no follow up or follow through from Otto, our KHOV warranty contact. While some things that we have submitted for repair have been addressed, most have not. Additionally, there have been multiple occasion where we have taken off of work because someone is scheduled to come to fix something, and they have simply not shown up. When we contact Otto at KHOV warranty, his response is that he has no control over it, and all he can do is contact the servicer to find out what happened. Our issues with the pre-closing walkthroughs and the lack of response from KHOV to the issues that we have had since moving in are why we have rated their “Trustworthiness” and “Responsiveness” at 1 out of 5 stars. We rated the “Quality of Workmanship and Materials” at 3 out of 5 stars. As far as we can tell, the structure of our home is good and well-built. However, it seems that as it got closer to our home being finished, things were done cheaply and quickly. We are not the only ones in our neighborhood to note that the paint used on the walls is cheap and is not at all resistant to scratching or discoloration. Additionally, the drywall here is much easier to dent or damage than any place I have lived before. Our paver areas and our roofs were not cleaned before we moved in, and when it was pointed out during the closing walkthrough it was dismissed off by the builder. During the walk-through, James spoke of how responsive KHOV was and how he personally wanted to make sure we were happy once we moved in. This has absolutely not been our experience. We have not heard from James since we moved in, even though we know he has been notified of the issues we have had. Finally, we rated “Value for the Price Paid” at 3 out of 5 stars. We like our new home. We like the layout, the location, and the neighborhood. That is where the value comes from. But we would not recommend that anyone buy a KHOV home if they have other options for the home or location that they want. ... More
