It was a great experience. Lisa (Sales) and Sparky (Construction) were very nice and easy to work with. They kept me informed every step of the way.

Overall my experience with K. Hovnanian was good except that there were a lot of minor issues with the home and it has taken a lot of time to get the issues addressed and are still being addressed.

I was so excited in purchasing this home but wish I had a chance to decorate.

From salesman to builder management is very professional in my opinion. They reply very quick to all the claims and issues I’ve reported and handled it very professional. I’ve read a lot of reviews and I don’t know why there’s a lot of complaints, but so far I’m very happy of my new house and felt happy that I’ve made a right choice going with KHov. I’m definitely will recommend KHov to all my friends and family who would like to build a house in the future and would definitely go with KHov if we happen to want a second home.

We were initially put off by the online reviews, but after talking to some realtors in the area decided to work with KHov. And we're glad we did! We found the right lot and floorplan for us and everything went according to schedule except for the pool, but that was not in their control. Although there were a lot of upgrades that were costly, the end product is something we are happy with and intend to live in for many years. Our builder project manager Mike was very responsive, always attentive to our wishes, and made an effort to fix anything we asked. The building process was very easy, the only issue we had was at the design studio, where some issues were not explained correctly and some information we were given was wrong.

At first, I was apprehensive about buying from a builder. They seemed to hold all the cards. The initial sales pitch felt a bit like being at a car dealership, but once we progressed past that, and I started dealing with more of their team, I was very pleased at how thorough and organized they were, especially the loan officers and the person overseeing construction. I can't say enough about how Aaron made me feel like I could instantly trust him. He takes such pride in his work and craftsmanship, and he offered to follow up and help as I got moved in and maybe noticed some things. He was true to his word. When else do you get someone checking in on you after a sale like that? I'm very happy with my decision to purchase from K. Good job!

The warranty department has been great, Brett, Nick, and Kristi. They are very responsive. However, the sales experience was not good, as the people in the front office were unpleasant. Also, since closing, we’ve had numerous issues that have needed to be repaired. The quality of the construction of the home and materials was unacceptable.

I recently purchased a newly built home I am extremely pleased with my decision. The home is beautifully designed however the finishes are cheap and attention to the details was not done properly. As a result, I have many issues relating to my purchase and frustrations to go with it. The layout of the home is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, with spacious rooms, modern finishes, and plenty of natural light. The kitchen and bathrooms are particularly impressive, featuring top-of-the-line appliances and fixtures. The buying process was straightforward. The Mortgage was professional, knowledgeable, and responsive, making sure all my questions were answered and any concerns were addressed promptly. They provided excellent customer service from start to finish. Good home overall. Process is overwhelming

The team was very professional

beautiful house, love the construction. However just a week after moving in ,door knobs falling off kitchen cabinets falling off, and the screen door coming off, no instructions on configuring garage gate and garage key gate . So overall im not happy with the way my family and I were treated after closing the house.

Unlike the models, the driveways in front of the garage are way to short to park a standard car. Disgraceful!

Nice place to live.

Quality of this home is not what I expected.I had an irrigation system leak for a month in the yard and driveway that was soaked so bad youcan’t walk on it ,one of the leaks was spraying at the front door.After emailing and calling for a month it was finally resolved .The home have exterior doors not sealing properly causing bugs to enter.Some of the tile are cracked mail pops in the walls garage door binds when opening,Some interior doors not closing properly/a/c system not balanced properly hot upstairs in some of the bedrooms.

Buying experience would have been better if not for Khovnanian's insurance. They did not notify us that we were not approved for insurance until after closing!! Totally unprofessional as we could have gone to another insurance prior to close. It was stressful knowing that we closed on our house but not insured. Horrible!! Heads should roll in the insurance department.

Great home buying experience. However, the sell you on the HOA taking care of everything on the outside including your lawn, bushes, trees and sprinkler system. The lawn, bushes and trees in this neighborhood have been severely neglected to the point where my neighbor has a beach instead of a lawn. My bushes haven’t been cut since I moved in and I have a tree that’s dying because the wind caused it to lean and the rootball is exposed. My neighbors and I have brought these things to the attention of both the management company and the builder. The new landscape service (because the old one was so bad) still just Moe’s the lawn while my tree dies, my bushes grow, and my neighbor searches for the ocean that must be near his beachfront property. ... We rated our overall buying experience at 3 out of 5 stars. The sales process and the communication from our sales representative Larissa was great. It is once we began the closing process that our experience began to sour. Our pre-closing walkthrough was 10 days before our closing. Initially, our builder James seemed very helpful and provided a lot of useful information. But as the walk-through progressed, it was evident that he got more annoyed with the more things that we pointed out that needed to be fixed. Then during our final walkthrough on the day of closing, there were a number of items that had not been fixed. Some of these things, like a window sill that has brown discoloration were simply painted over. Once the paint dried on the window sill, it started bubbling and you can still see the discoloration beneath the hastily applied paint. The window sill issue had been pointed out during our first pre-closing walkthrough. Immediately after closing, and before moving our stuff in, we had a professional inspection done. We submitted the items that the inspector found to KHOV warranty to be repaired, along with a copy of the inspection report, and that is where the frustration really kicked in. KHOV’s responsiveness to repairing issues is dreadful. Our garage door has not operated properly since the second day after closing, and we have been promised for a month and a half now that someone will contact us to repair it. Two service providers have been assigned, and neither have reached out to us. There is no follow up or follow through from Otto, our KHOV warranty contact. While some things that we have submitted for repair have been addressed, most have not. Additionally, there have been multiple occasion where we have taken off of work because someone is scheduled to come to fix something, and they have simply not shown up. When we contact Otto at KHOV warranty, his response is that he has no control over it, and all he can do is contact the servicer to find out what happened. Our issues with the pre-closing walkthroughs and the lack of response from KHOV to the issues that we have had since moving in are why we have rated their “Trustworthiness” and “Responsiveness” at 1 out of 5 stars. We rated the “Quality of Workmanship and Materials” at 3 out of 5 stars. As far as we can tell, the structure of our home is good and well-built. However, it seems that as it got closer to our home being finished, things were done cheaply and quickly. We are not the only ones in our neighborhood to note that the paint used on the walls is cheap and is not at all resistant to scratching or discoloration. Additionally, the drywall here is much easier to dent or damage than any place I have lived before. Our paver areas and our roofs were not cleaned before we moved in, and when it was pointed out during the closing walkthrough it was dismissed off by the builder. During the walk-through, James spoke of how responsive KHOV was and how he personally wanted to make sure we were happy once we moved in. This has absolutely not been our experience. We have not heard from James since we moved in, even though we know he has been notified of the issues we have had. Finally, we rated “Value for the Price Paid” at 3 out of 5 stars. We like our new home. We like the layout, the location, and the neighborhood. That is where the value comes from. But we would not recommend that anyone buy a KHOV home if they have other options for the home or location that they want. ... More

From start to finish I had poor if not no communication with the sales rep and loan officer. The builder was great he kept me in the loop of everything that’s was being done. The house is beautiful but you can tell they used cheap over priced things in the house.
