Everything was great up until closing. My lawyer was struggling to get any paperwork from them and I had to call multiple people to find out where the closing was even going to be at.

Was an easy experience from choosing g the lot to model to options. To financing.

Great team to work with.

They delivered earlier than expected.

Overall it was a great experience and we love our new home. It took a bit longer than we had anticipated and felt like things were rushed at the end to get us in.

The experience is very exciting. Seeing the house come to life and seeing your personal touches is such a great experience. Just wish the team would be better communicators. Not many updates or responses. That made the wait frustrating at points. Let's hope that's not the same case when it comes to warranty issues because some have already arrived.

Smooth process, but quality of work could definitely be improved

The house is a great house. There are a few minor things that need to be looked at after a month in. The women in sales were great to work with. Financing was a nightmare. We had everything lined up with another financial group but got talked into using Khov for financing. That was a huge mistake. And to top it off they sold our loan to another company in the first two weeks.

Most of the people I had to deal with were fine. The problems are really difficult for me to wrap my head around because it’s a brand new home. I have one working toilet that still has problems. The front bedroom is very cold. The long clothes rack in my walk in closet fell off the wall. The list is actually longer. I wanted so much to have this be a happy experience. I am 76 and partially disabled and very disappointed.

Office personnel was hard to get a hold of and most of the information given to us was incorrect. Design studio staff and construction manager were helpful throughout our experience.

The experience overall was good. However we did run into several delays, and communication could’ve been a little better.

basement was leaking on the second day after fixing i see water in the an other place in basement, nobody check the cut insulation was repaired with adhesive tape, not replaced, in the result and I have a house for which I paid the cake for a completely new one, but the insulation in the basement is glued with adhesive tape The floor creaks in some parts, this means that in some places the floor is normal, and in some it is not properly strengthened The stump has not been removed at the site with a height of 20 inches, and many others I will ask bloggers (with more than 1 million subscribers) describing the construction of the construction of houses to review. Only good thing is the sales person Vicky is helpful, responsive and “New” construction manager Greg who made it better. It was a tough journey but by gods grace there are changes in the team and we finally moved in after a long long delay and mistakes in construction. If it wasn’t for new team I would have given a single star

I was happy they were able to stick with the timeline however it was just an average experience. The foreman for KH was good but the paint and clean up was subpar.

When my wife and I had the final walk through we enjoyed seeing our new home after being in it I have noticed corners that were cut and other issues. Examples chips in the flooring, wavy walls and ceilings, bowed doors and a raised floor drain. I put a call in one day about the furnace exhaust and I had to make an issue with the builder in order to get it corrected. I guess I will keep on KHOV and hopefully things will work out.

This builder is good with roofing, basements and insulation however fall short on interior work. My microwave has a dent in my stove has scratches in it and the paint should have been white semi gloss.

We are having many issues with the house and no clear direction from developer/builder how these will be resolved.. Just a painful situation for such a big investment

Dissapointed in the lack of knowledge of our sales representative. Sales representative was disrespectful, demeaning and hard to work with.

Our salesperson Gabbi was wonderful and responsive to our needs. Our GC was not as responsive and had excuse after excuse for the delays. Our friends went with a different builder and they broke ground in April and moved in a week before we did, we broke ground in February and closed on September 24 but purchased in November of 2020. We chose to have you paint our interior but the paint is very prone to smudges and stains, maybe give out other paint options.

As a first time homebuyer, the sales co-ordinator kept us in dark the whole time. After umpteen calls and emails I got hold of the construction manager who was very kind and helpful and opened up the communication channel which was really great and got the house completed on time. Design team had no clue and did not help us make the decision . The upgrades quality is very poor and it’s actually worse than the standard ones.

Waited for more than a year to get the home complete after signing the contract.

We contracted to complete a single-family house in December 2020. Estimated completion date was July 1, 2021. We were told that houses closed at that time hit their estimated date. By March, we were told the date would be in August. The basement was not poured until April. Right after we sold our existing house in May, the date changed to September 15. OK, 2.5 months late, we can live with that. We were then scheduled for a pre drywall inspection in early July. No communication when that date was missed. Finally, by mid-August when our emails to our sales rep and the construction manager went unanswered, we reached out to the Chicago market VP to find out what was going on. We then found out that our sales rep had left the company and our construction manager was changed but no one informed us. We completed our pre drywall inspection in early September and were told that our house would be completed before the end of October. Our final walkthrough and closing were actually scheduled for the end of October (Khov's fiscal year end is 10/31). However, two weeks before the inspection, we were notified that the dates would have to be moved to mid-November, Cabinetry was damaged, and they would not be able to complete until then. We had to reschedule all of our utilities and post-closing contractors (i.e painters, window treatment installers, etc.) for a second time. So, after 4.5 months of delays and lack of communication about when we would be able to move in, we finally had our new home and were no longer commuting from our temporary housing at a vacation home 4 hours away.
