They use great materials and don't cut corners

Our home is spec home, anyway we had walked through a home similar to what had purchased. We had seen wrought iron spindles on the stairwell, we had asked if this was part of our home, saleswoman said yes, when we signed we were told that they were not included. We were also told being a spec we had the ability to change or upgrade as long as it was not already ordered. Come to find out we were not able to do so. Dont get me wrong I love our home. Just the fact one would say something the other says another.

Very informative, always professional, and responsive.

The sales office team is fantastic! Steve our construction manger was super easy to deal with and very easy to contact with questions and concerns along the way. Communication from the inhouse lender was a bit lackluster but once the process was rolling it was fairly smooth.

The purchasing process and design process was awesome. Debbie was fantastic and super helpful throughout the entire process. We’ve had issues after moving in, and the responsiveness hasn’t been to our expectations. The issues have yet to be resolved.

We had a great experience with K. Hovnanian Homes. The best part of our experience was our construction manager. He was so thorough and kind, and he took significant time to make sure we were informed and connected to him throughout the process. The result was a home that was exactly as we dreamed it. The only part of the process that was a little challenging was understanding some of the final closing and loan costs up front. Everything was great up until closing. My lawyer was struggling to get any paperwork from them and I had to call multiple people to find out where the closing was even going to be at.

The khov folks did a great job of building our new home, keeping in touch with us, and made sure that everything went smoothly up to closing. It was done in a quite hassle-free and timely fashion. So, I am very happy with the experience.

Was an easy experience from choosing g the lot to model to options. To financing.

Great team to work with.

Did a walkthrough before drywall installed and noticed every crack and gap was sealed up before the insulation was put in. Home feel very well sealed up. Even the basement concrete floor is not cold. Its middle of winter and the basement does not feel that cold.

Builder did honor contract price during a period of shortages and price increases. People were great to work with except for our contact at the design center who made some errors and refused to accept blame. That individual is no longer with the company, we understand. Once contract was signed there was no flexibility to change or modify anything . The house seems to be built well but I feel they undersized the heating and cooling system for a two story dwelling. Overall the house is enjoyable and modern and comfortable to live in. I do think that cramming a total of nine houses in a cul du sac has crowded the sight lines and curb appeal of our property that was not evident during the lot selection process. We also have some minor correcting issues and the fixing sub contractors have not shown up to make the corrections that were promised. They delivered earlier than expected.

Great experience- our first time building.

Inspect every corner, room, inside, outside, top, bottom. With that being said, my sales rep, contractor, lender, and everyone that I personally dealt with were nice, respectful, and attentive to my concerns. I am just not happy about the workmanship of their workers.

Builder is very professional & treating customer very neatly..only concern is finishing not proper.

We really like our home. My only wish is that we did not have to wait for the construction process. I guess it is par for the course when it is customized.

Could be very good, but getting punch list items taken care of has been slow. It seems if you do not constantly ask, nothing gets done. Outside quality seems better than inside. Lots of little flaws. Some in materials and some in workmanship.

The mortgage company was difficult to work with but the work was good and the house turned out great.

Overall experience was great... Jean, our sales rep was great, couldn't ask for a better person to help us with whats really a big time consuming and stressful process....Rich, Greg, from corporate, helped out with getting some things taken care of in the build process, so was our production manager Steve...and Ryan...as a contractor I know how difficult it is to mange a build, deal with subs and then deal with customers....Steve does a great job....We are happy with the quality of the home, probably the best built "new Construction you can get without going semi custom or custom built...My wife and I are happy in our new home.... P.S. The Experience with their mortgage company was why they didn't get 5 stars from me and I would probably need a much "bigger incentive" if I ever needed to go through them again...completely unprofessional, i felt i got my mortgage, at 711...sorry 711... ... Overall it was a great experience and we love our new home. It took a bit longer than we had anticipated and felt like things were rushed at the end to get us in.

The house is a great house. There are a few minor things that need to be looked at after a month in. The women in sales were great to work with. Financing was a nightmare. We had everything lined up with another financial group but got talked into using Khov for financing. That was a huge mistake. And to top it off they sold our loan to another company in the first two weeks.

The experience is very exciting. Seeing the house come to life and seeing your personal touches is such a great experience. Just wish the team would be better communicators. Not many updates or responses. That made the wait frustrating at points. Let's hope that's not the same case when it comes to warranty issues because some have already arrived.
