Basis your info I kept my car outside and there was concrete on it and now you guys say I kept in a public place. This is truly unprofessional

Customer service was terrible!! Please beware of estimating closing dates and incomplete projects after moving in. They will string you alone for weeks and weeks with different closing dates. Not mention the small things that still have to completed after you move in!! We purchased a home with shutters on all the front windows as shown on the model and the brochure. Unfortunately after we have been living here for 2 months and still no shutters. So if you are waiting for your home to be completed please be aware of inaccurate timelines on building your home as well as an estimated closing date. We love our new home but dealing with K Hovnanian staffing was one of our worst experiences. ... More

The sales team is all smiles when you are considering buying a home. They make you feel very welcome and they also commit to delivery dates that they aren't going to make. The date on the contract means nothing. The construction manager will appear super nice, and deliver late, all for the sake of so-called quality. The house looks good to the naked eye, but there are several poor design choices, even when it come to placing an air vent above the Master Bedroom's door, therefore compromising privacy for the owner(s). They might as well be an open window constantly blowing air in the Master Bath. There is a vent that exhaust to the roof, making noise anytime the wind blows. Of course this is not featured in the model homes, bc you wouldn't buy it! Highly disappointed with the upgrade to a third car garage, only to get a 2.5 car garage, given only a clown car can fit in the other side of my garage. The only helpful person thus far, post signing, is the Warranty Manager, but there's nothing they can do re: my real issues with the build. Lastly, beware of the design center. They will try to sell you the moon, stars and the sun. They will also ask if you want ceiling fans, which basically means do you want ceiling lights, bc everyone only has ceiling fans as lighting, right? No! ... More

Not what I expected. House have lot of issues and the thing that they say it’s everything is normal. House floors and basement where dirty. Chip quartz’s at island. Baseboards dirty and not painted well. Kitchen doble oven was not installed correctly. Still waiting on the windows shutters haven’t being install and we have a month since we move in. 2 weeks to get our mailbox install. Not happy

The home that was built is beautiful and far exceeded our expectations. However, the process was overshadowed by the poor management in the sales office. The staff is not communicative about appropriate next steps in the building and closing process. The staff was not communicative to outside lenders and real estate professionals. The staff was downright rude in many circumstances and if my family had not invested so much time and money in the process, we would have walked away from the building process completely.

I really like my house. It’s built quite nicely. Unfortunately me along with many of my neighbors had and awful time dealing with them. One of the main problem individuals will not return calls or emails to you. Only willing to interact with your lawyer. This individual won’t honor closings on Fridays due to wanting to take long weekends. Many of my neighbors did not close on time due to this individual and I almost didn’t until I was willing to walk away and their supervisor contacted me. This company normally has 10K of your money down for earnest money and for that reason feels like they can bully you, not close on time, and not respond to you. Thankfully I refused to sign a document requiring that large of earnest money. They continually blame the builder as the problem. The “builder” is what they say and you never get to know who this person is or speak to them. It’s like OZ, the man behind the curtain you can’t talk to but I’ve found out that the closing office seems to be a large part of the problem. Also they offer you perks if you use their mortgage lender. They are difficult to deal with when you do use them, but seem to punish you or put you at the bottom of their priority list if you don’t. This is not my first home purchase but was by far the worst. They houses are really nice, but I honestly can’t recommend them as I would not want to put a one through what I and many others have gone through with not making your closing, lack of communication, and complete disrespect for you. Worse mortgage company i ever gone thew and worse home buying experience ever

I did not enjoy the overall process of buying my home. I would not recommend K.Hovnaian homes to anyone.

Our drywall was falling from the ceiling. K Homes advised it was installed incorrectly. Instead of reinstalling the drywall, they just patched some of it and said the warranty will cover future issues, not exactly what you think you are paying for when buying a new home.

Never buy a home from Khov ever again! Worst built quality… even small contractors can build better homes than them.

Very bad experience not recommended anyone

We moved in and reported the various issues we saw. They've been out several times to "fix" the issues. The "extras" we paid for are complete crap (were never informed the paint wasn't washable, lighting fixtures are cheap plastic). Would not recommend this builder at all. Talking to others in the neighborhood, who have had similar experiences. Some are going on 6+ months of waiting for repairs to be done (again).
