We had an excellent experience buying our home with K. Hovnanian Homes. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, organized, and much less stressful. The team was professional. The quality of workmanship and attention to detail truly exceeded our expectations. We are so grateful for their dedication and would highly recommend K. Hovnanian Homes to anyone looking to buy their dream home.

Builder could do better job. 1. DId not check that all new appliances were in working condition before closing. 2. Closing aggressively, but not following the safety of homeowners for their safety in active construction zone. Especially when moving big vehicles. 3. Not following local, state, or federal safety rules in active construction zone. 4. Did not pay the land taxes were due at the closing time, it is my headache now, I paid to avoid accruing the interest, but waiting to get reimbursed builder share. No resolution yet? 4. Other bills were also not paid, spending lot of time to resolve the issues. 5. HOA management is not user friendly (forget the welcoming the homeowners, they do not help when they need help). Created problems, one open pending issue! Working on it... 6. Life is busy, if these problems were addressed properly before closing, the homeowners will have fewer problems once they move in. Make homeowners life easy as is they have lot of issues to deal during moving? 7. The community center is not ready yet, lot of homeowners already accupied. 8. The good part is no one knows who is on the board/HOA. This information should be public knowledge as they are taking most critical decisions on behalf of association. I felt any additional upgrades was very expensive than current in the market. Example first floor Recess Light we added the KHOV package and it cost me $3670 and outside I finished second floor in $1100. You should offer competitive charges rather way expensive as your home buyer. Also , We found cracks in kitchen and upstairs. Overall home buyer experience was nice.

Although overall experience in buying home was alright, the final product and quality of workmanship is very poor. I would not recommend buying home from Khov as the price paid versus the quality of house designed and finishes are poorly in nature.

The warranty staff (other than ADAM) is annoying and has a habit of obliging for a smallest thing that they would do that's covered under warranty.

For the price of the house, we should have gotten morn out if it. They care more about building houses than having a play park for kids.

Design team is so outdated ! I feel the house model is from 1980s and no update in designs. Definetely overpriced for these outdated designs.

Cheap quality material, Not worth the price

Poor quality and overpriced home. I can only give five start to their service and warranty department. I really had great experience with Adam and his team. Without his help, I will give 1 star.

My home buying experience was overall smooth. I definitely wish I knew more especially since it was my first time purchasing a property. There are some things that could have been done a lot nicer and taken more time before moving in such as crooked door handles, toilet paper holders, and outlets.

I was promised on the document for 8000$ + incentive,when I initially signed the house stating if i go with khov mortage i would get the incentive .But before closing I was send a reviewed document removing the incentive and was not explained any thing . When I approached the sales then there was no proper reason y it was removed . It took 8 months for khove to realize to remove the incentive in the documentation?.with no reason .and I mentiond this in the last review as well and no one from khov is least bothered to call us back. $8000k+ is a huge mount to us . In the last min b4 the closing when the reviewed document with no incentive was send for signature , we emailed head of the sales , and no one responded . That means iam left with no choise but just signing the document SINCE MY INITIAL DOWNPAYMENT IS WITH KHOVE. LITERALLY IAM LOCKED . Is this how khov responds to customers ... Iam still and every day regrete that I lost $8000k incensitive WITH OUT ANY EXPLINATION.. So today I am sending a review , will kohv responds to us ? Once we gave our down payment, Paul and Kyle were unresponsive and rude. It was a mentality focused on "we already have your money so we don't need to try." They did not reply to texts, calls or emails from us or our realtor. Paul also was unprofessional taking days to reply and would not even use email signatures or greetings. Would not work with KHOV again.

Victor and Brian have been our go-to's through this entire process. Both have been so helpful to us with anything we've needed. We're so happy in our new home and we feel like we have the help and support from the builder and their warranty team.

For the amount of monies that I paid to Town home, expected the quality of the workmanship and materials will be at least as good as my rental home. But observed issues with the house from day1. Actually, closed the house on 31st Oct and officially moved on 1st Jan. But observed door locking issues for all the doors and cracks in the staircase and shaky staircase created multiple problems such as fell down from top.

Moved in November 7, 2023. We could write a book about KHOV @ Crossing in Dunellen. Salesperson NEVER told us about the PILOT program thus we loose NJ Senior Tax discount and NJ Anchor program… a major financial hit. Salesperson NEVER told is the 2 BR Units were Handicap Adaptable… strange since there is NO first floor Bedroom and 16 steps to the 2 Bedrooms. Result if this lie: not undersink cabinet due to wheelchair access; a dishwasher that does not have a drying cycle; a first floor shower that cannot have a glass door to permit wheelchair access. Construction that is so bad that in a bit over 2 months all seams are open.. Don’t tell me settling! Wrong chalking was used…. happy to offer photo proof. Appliances and various home fixtures are the bottom of the bottom… dishwasher was not even anchored … first time we opened it the unit completely pulled out from under the counter ….lies - deceitful - A HABITAT FOR HUMANITY HOME IS A BETTER BUILD! Numerous calls to management to no avail…. if any consumer advocate want to take this on we are more than willing! ... More

The quality of the homes are hardly at par with the price that we pay.

The worst experience I've ever had involved a dishonest salesperson, lack of transparency, limited upgrade options, and a terrible experience with the Khov mortgage lender. The home quality falls below the standards and I feel it’s waste of money. Lack of customer care. I understand the real estate market was in boom, however it doesn’t justify losing all hard-earned money. Only one good person I could think of is Justin.

Construction and material quality is not good. We are seeing many issues in month 1 itself. I have received justification that it is because of weather change. I have another home in similar weather condition and never saw such issues in the last 5 years. I would suggest to find solution of the problem rather than justifying.

The Sales team looks always busy and don't spend enough time to explain all the options available. There is no separate project management or construction team we can contact about the construction details, you always need to contact Sales person for any updates who seems very busy. Some of the fixtures in the home like doors, bathroom fixtures etc. are not of great quality for the price paid. Their own mortgage team plays tricks and delay the rate locking so that buyer doesn't have a chance to think about other options.

I would like to specially commend Paul for his help throughout the sales process. Construction team members Victor and Eric were very helpful. Also a callout to Matthew from Khov mortgage team, for overall responsiveness during the loan process.
