Well my review might be a little different if I wasn't currently watching my 71 year old husband using a rototiller, a rake and wheelbarrow to flatten a backyard that should have been graded before we moved in. This house was supposed to be our "not do anything to it cuz it's new" house...well not so. I wish I knew 3 months ago what I know now. I would not have bought new let a lone a KHOV house. Connie L is fabulous and Adam is fabulous. I'm quite sure Adam's work load is impossible to keep up with, and perhaps if the contractors did their job correctly in the first place, Adam's job would be doable. I'm here 3 months I still don't have painted wood trim from where the warped pieces have been replaced, I still have tape from the original walk through that haven't been addressed. My house is a quick move that has been vacant 7 months before I moved in, and it's impossible to keep my floors clean because my backyard is nothing but mud ALWAYS!! Now as far as the design of the house itself......I wish I would have been more focused on it when I first looked as again I would not have bought it, so please take these suggestions and present them to whomever designs your houses. There is literally nowhere to put your shoes when you walk in the house...no front closet or mudroom...I HATE THAT...when you walk in my house your greeted with smelly shoes...YAY!! No place to put guests coats or shoes. This is a daffodil house in case you didn't know...there is no light switch for the small bedrooms to access the main hallway, so if you get up at 5:30 am and it's dark you have to fumble your way to the light switch by the door...there is no light coming out if the master bedroom hallway....you've essentially given us a 320k box....youre so cheap that you couldn't give us 2 carriage lights outside, no window on the front door. I could go on and an, but I'm SUPER disappointed, and I have family and friends looking to move and as much as I'd love to have them for neighbors I will not be recommending this builder....sad ... We do like our new home but unfortunately there is zero response to issues. I would expect some issues but a timely response would go a long way. A brick fell off the house several weeks ago and it’s still sitting there. We moved in on March 1st and still do not have a graded yard or any communication as to why newer homes around us have been graded/seeded and ours is still dirt. Everyone has garage door hardware but not us. Some not exterior painting was completely missed and left untouched. That’s not a huge deal but it’s adding to our irritation. The actual home-buying process and the people involved at first were great. However, now that I have lived in the home for almost three months I am disappointed with a lot of elements of the home. The workmanship does not match the price tag. There have been many issues we've already had to address with the warranty department (Steven is amazing!!), and others that have not yet been resolved. The contractors they used for the concrete (CGI) were an absolute mess. I had workers yelling at me on my property for trying to access the home I was living in, as well as cracks in my driveway on brand-new concrete that had just been left by their team. Whoever painted the inside of the house did not show any attention to detail, there are many imperfections throughout this home. Running paint left dried bumps on the wall where it is visible to a person at eye level, how do they miss that? The carpet transitions are terrible, I step on metal all of the time. The cleanup crew was a mess, there are STILL pencil marks on the LVP flooring I am finding throughout the house. My front door is dented and still not fixed, my garage door makes grinding noises when it opens, and so much more. I was so pleased with the staff I worked with in buying the home, but the rest of the process has left a lot to be desired for a nearly 600k price tag. ... More

House was delayed 3 weeks, which was an issue for multiple reasons. 1) Almost no communication from the construction manager, and sales agent who promised us we would be taken care of since we were moving from out of state; 2) because of the delay, since we were moving from out of state we had to find lodging during the interim since we timed our previous home sale to the promised delivery date; and 3) previous house closed the Wed after Thanksgiving and the so called "Gold Key" turnover was on 21 Dec. As you can imagine there was not much time for a thorough inspection (not that it appeared the builder had done one) and we are still finding issues. Well the house has a number of issues… chipped bathtub ,cracking ceiling and corners, cabinets pulled away from wall, floors squeak,master shower is not level. Doorknobs falling off. The paint used is awful, you cannot clean matte paint! The landscape is poor- plants all coming up out of the ground! Garage is very small. Mine has footprints all over the ceiling!! I might have forgotten something.

To start off there are only 2 outlets that were put in my entire basement. So I will eventually need to hire an electrician to install more outlets. The master bathroom had the cheapest worst looking single vanity I had ever seen. I had to buy a new double vanity to put in & hire a plumber. There is so much wind around that there is noises that happen right outside the master bedroom bathroom when it’s windy. They did not tell us about sealing our countertop in the kitchen so I had to learn the hard way. I figured they would have had the countertop already sealed for us when buying a new home, or at least tell us about it. There was also a wooden block stuck under our carpet for a while before somebody came out to remove. ... More

This was the best and easiest one stop buying experience I have ever had. Simple, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable.

Overall experience was great. At the model home Connie was great with house build choices. The painting could have been done a lot better. Wish all the air returns were covered up during drywall sanding and wall painting. Lots of junk in ductwork. Overall craftsmanship in finishing work sloppy.

There were items that I would have liked to have included and they refused. In this northern area, I would have preferred to have the garage insulated and the hvac included. It makes for a very cold environment in the winter and hot in the summer.

House was completed earlier than promised and we were kept apprised of progress every step of the way.

The garages are compact so take that into account. Insist on reviewing ALL terms and conditions (including the HOA guidelines) before you start the purchase. Don't be afraid to inquire about the overall site plan and schedule for the various phases of the community. But overall I am satisfied with the quality of our home constructed by K. Hovnanian. As a first time home buyer I learned a lot and the construction manager did a great job educating and informing me throughout the build process.

My experience with the sales staff was fantastic. Diana and Connie were both very knowledgeable and extremely helpful.

Quality of maters and workmanship is below my expectations.

Lies, shady tactics, and false promises. Offer ZERO options, no follow through, once you sign you are immediately forgotten about. Will never recommend KHov nor will I ever build with KHov again

Sales person was awesome. Warranty dept. Has been nothing but broken promise after broken promise. Not one item on a long list has really been addressed yet. After they receive the check, they forget about the new homeowner. It has been very frustrating to say the least, nothing like what was promised.

Waiting on my missing roof shinges to be put up. Interior issues also and no shower door.

I had very few problems after moving in and when I did Chris immediately returned my call and took care of it.

We built in a new home the before the build process went very smoothly. The build itself went fast and was completed ahead of schedule. We have run into few issues since moving in and every time someone comes to fix or repair the issues we’re told it’s not their fault and someone else has to come. Only to ignore the issues in the home.

We got a bunch of issues that we have brought up to our contractor. So far we have been told that we should report them all before end of year. We got exposed electrical wires in are garage. The general contractor was switched out on us. Issues with so called premium lot.

Great experience. They are very nice and helpful people. Communication was very good. The whole process went smoothly.

My wife and I are retired empty nesters. This home is our last after owning 6 homes in multiple states. Frankly the final product exceeded our expectations. It is both beautiful and functional. Hats off to Lisa and Ryan for their leadership, availability, and transparency. They made the entire process stress-free from our first meeting to our last. Finally they were pleasant and equally professional. Many thanks and bravo..!

For the most part was a good experience. Lisa was amazing and super kind she helped us design out perfect home and answer any questions and if she didn’t know the answer she found out. Ryan was also amazing and kept us updated weekly. We was sad when Ryan moved. Only complaint I have is when we moved in furnace wasn’t working and we let the builder know over and over told called the company to come fix it. I assume it was the hvac company slip up but regardless got to the point where I got it fixed. Also on of our plugs by the stove keeps tripping which isn’t safe and should been checked before since we wouldn’t of known during walk through. So have to go through home warranty on the issue we will se how that goes and don’t have to much hope on the 11 month Inspection but I hope I’m proved wrong! ... More

Our building manager forgot all about us the moment he gave us the keys..moved in Sept 2022 and still no grade approval no explanation no follow up.

We have incomplete projects — we have been in our house more than 5 weeks. Lawn is very uneven—difficult to walk on. Mowing will be difficult. Most important, the deadbolt is misaligned and can’t be used—a safety issue. I also felt the workers were careless—drywall paste left on concrete and a few raised “bumps “ in the basement area.
