Well my review might be a little different if I wasn't currently watching my 71 year old husband using a rototiller, a rake and wheelbarrow to flatten a backyard that should have been graded before we moved in. This house was supposed to be our "not do anything to it cuz it's new" house...well not so. I wish I knew 3 months ago what I know now. I would not have bought new let a lone a KHOV house. Connie L is fabulous and Adam is fabulous. I'm quite sure Adam's work load is impossible to keep up with, and perhaps if the contractors did their job correctly in the first place, Adam's job would be doable. I'm here 3 months I still don't have painted wood trim from where the warped pieces have been replaced, I still have tape from the original walk through that haven't been addressed. My house is a quick move that has been vacant 7 months before I moved in, and it's impossible to keep my floors clean because my backyard is nothing but mud ALWAYS!! Now as far as the design of the house itself......I wish I would have been more focused on it when I first looked as again I would not have bought it, so please take these suggestions and present them to whomever designs your houses. There is literally nowhere to put your shoes when you walk in the house...no front closet or mudroom...I HATE THAT...when you walk in my house your greeted with smelly shoes...YAY!! No place to put guests coats or shoes. This is a daffodil house in case you didn't know...there is no light switch for the small bedrooms to access the main hallway, so if you get up at 5:30 am and it's dark you have to fumble your way to the light switch by the door...there is no light coming out if the master bedroom hallway....you've essentially given us a 320k box....youre so cheap that you couldn't give us 2 carriage lights outside, no window on the front door. I could go on and an, but I'm SUPER disappointed, and I have family and friends looking to move and as much as I'd love to have them for neighbors I will not be recommending this builder....sad ... The whole process was stressful but it is over now.

I've had no issues with any of the people that ive worked with. My only issue is why would you let so many families move into a house that doesnt have a useful backyard for months at a time with no end in site. I have a dog, I would of like to have brought more plants and flowers from my previous home etc

Waiting on my missing roof shinges to be put up. Interior issues also and no shower door.

Everyone I worked with was responsive and followed up in a timely manner.

We are very happy with our purchase! No part of the process was mysterious and the communication was clear and effective.

The garages are compact so take that into account. Insist on reviewing ALL terms and conditions (including the HOA guidelines) before you start the purchase. Don't be afraid to inquire about the overall site plan and schedule for the various phases of the community. But overall I am satisfied with the quality of our home constructed by K. Hovnanian. As a first time home buyer I learned a lot and the construction manager did a great job educating and informing me throughout the build process.

Which builder paid more attention to co. that poured foundation,which resulted in a back wall in our home be off.It left floor joist and floor un level and a unhappy buyer.,when it came to repairs after accepting the house ,Adam was johnny on the spot,with repairs.

Wendy is an incredible sales person!! Very flexible and fun to work with. Steven, Nick and Jake have been very responsive to resolve issues. Everyone is professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Your team is top notch!

Over all it was a great experience with khovanian builders, only thing I would say is I wish you could have a little more time to make changes. You always think of other things you would like to add or change and 7 days is not enough.

Friendly and responsive staff from sale and mortgage company, to on site staff to address any issues.

There were items that I would have liked to have included and they refused. In this northern area, I would have preferred to have the garage insulated and the hvac included. It makes for a very cold environment in the winter and hot in the summer.

The team overall was very helpful throughout the home buying process. Brandon Rolko was very upfront & down to earth while advising us and Bob & Kayla did a stellar job communicating throughout the build process and addressing concerns. There were some minor issues such as door framing that did not get fully resolved but overall we were very happy. Wish we would have known more about options communicated upfront, but we came in with an initially lower budget than we settled on. It was not clear to us that we had design room visit ability which would have been nice. The home build was much faster than expected and we had a good experience getting graded. We were lucky to settle on a home of our price in the current market, but did find it a bit expensive. Great team overall, could have used a bit more cross communication but was glad to be involved in the process with them all! ... More

I first want to say that our sales person Melissa is absolutely amazing and an asset to your company. When we had trouble reaching our construction managers, she was able to get them to respond. Up until the point that we got our keys, it was an amazing work relationship. Once we received the keys, things did not go so smooth. The communication was not very good. When we had problems, Melissa would be our go to, but it shouldn't be that way. Of the construction managers, Jeremy was the best with communication. All I need is a text, email, or phone call that says they are working on this or that. Don't get me wrong, we are very happy with the house. We have found ourselves doing a lot of work outside at the end we didn't expect. Yes, we have the keys, we own our home, but due to the poor communication we have more to do. It would be my suggestion that people not accept the house until all work is completed. Again, overall, we are happy with the construction of our house! It is well built. I went nearly every day to watch the progress. They appear to have followed the code and did a good job with construction. Melissa is an amazing person and we are happy we were able to work with her. I believe you need to walk your home 1-2 times per week to check options selected, quality and workmanship. You need to notify your builder weekly on what concerns you have and follow up weekly that they are addressed. If this happens you will get a home that looks good!

Everyone we interacted with was great. I am however not 100% satisfied with the quality of the work in certain areas such as the floors, garage foundation and others. However, the warranty department has not come to my home to review and hopefully fix these issues. For now, my rating right now is what it is but will hopefully improve based on my experience with the warranty department.

Ryan was very good at communicating with me throughout the build. Once i moved in if i had any questions he would respond in a day. He was a pleasure to work with and has helped me throughout my move into my home. I did not give KHov 5 stars on anything due to the sales rep. I am just now finding out that there was a build option that i could of added to my house that was never told to me by sales even after talking about my plans for the house. Now i have to look for outside work and since i am new to the area it is a hassle. It is annoying and now nothing can be done but me searching for a contractor. Other than that home looks good. ... We had a rough start with the planning of our home. The wrong design was submitted, and we weren’t told about the siding color restrictions. Ultimately everything was corrected and we are very satisfied.

We're very happy with our home however there are some issues that shouldn't exist in a brand new house... some of the painting was never finished. the garage it was rough patched and never finished it should be finish patched and atleast ready for paint. They told us 2 weeks ago the front porch would be finish and were still waiting on that. The final grade isn't done and we have standing water on the back and sides of our foundation. All of these issues should have been addressed immediately for the amount of money spent on a new construction home. When we Raise concern over the issues it is as if it is no big deal but it is a big deal and we are beginning to be come frustrated hope someone takes care of these things immediately ... More
