A lot of promises at the beginning to entice you to build, in the end, promises turn into misinterpretations. Quality of workmanship sucks. No pride in building trades anymore.

Smooth process from start to finish. Great customer care and excellent service with Monica, our sales consultant, with Steve, our construction manager, and continuing even today with Melissa regarding the installation of our driveway. All questions were promptly answered and everyone did what they said they would do throughout the entire building process. My husband and I are very happy new home owners and, based on our experience, highly recommend K. Hovnanian Homes to others.

Over all it was a great experience with khovanian builders, only thing I would say is I wish you could have a little more time to make changes. You always think of other things you would like to add or change and 7 days is not enough.

Our project managers made this a negative experience. Issues came up and it took longer than expected for them to be resolved. It was clear that nobody checked the work before our walk through because we had to point out major and minor issues, I thought that was there job and we were supposed to walk through to make sure everything looked good. One major issue is our garage door wouldn’t shut all the way and did not open or close properly and this was brushed off that it was fine. We weren’t able to use the hand rail on the stairs without it giving us splinters it was so rough. The stone on the fireplace was not finished. Our front door did not open or close properly. I also don’t think it should be the homeowners job to inspect every single room for paint mistakes and every single window to make sure they open easily. Issues were also brought up at the walk through that either weren’t addressed or they were addressed after we moved in. We were also told a cleaning crew had been in even though the floors were covered in dirt. My husband was told in person we received a new furnace filter but the one we have was never replaced with a new one prior to moving in (still hasn’t been replaced). On top of that after we moved in it took them about two weeks to move a portapotty off of our property. I had brought this up to them about a week after moving in and it took multiple texts asking it for it to be moved before anything was actually done. Our managers could have easily moved this themselves after being told once since they walk past it everyday, but a few weeks went by before moving it 10 feet across the street. Pleased with our home, but not pleased by the way these mangers blew concerns off they were advised of and the lack of care they had. hopefully they learn how to prepare future homes before a walk thru and cater to the buyer considering how much money were all spending on these homes. ... This is our first time building and it was a dream. Between the team and the quality of the hone, I’ve been recommending k.hov to everyone.

We are overall very satisfied with our new home built by K. Hovnanian. There were a few bumps in the road - as expected with any new home build but the response time, solution, and quality we received from the team at K-Hov made it all worth it. We love our new home and would highly recommend K. Hovnanian.

We couldn’t find any homes that fit what we wanted for the price point we could afford. We ended up building with K.Hov and it was an excellent experience. We weren’t pressured into purchasing a ton of options and were really helpful with everything from structural upgrades to paint colors. We are very happy with our home and look forward to the growing neighborhood.

Pretty straight forward on the costs, options, timeline, and perks from the community. No hidden fees or processes left out. They gave us a very personalized experience with care and attention to the little things. Would buy a home from them again!

Overall bad experience building a new home. The mortgage and title companies they make you use lack severely in communicating with their customer. The sales consultant, design consultant, and construction manager, Sarah, Jocelyn, and Joe, lacked empathy to issues we had and at times could be down right rude. We have been in our house for a little over a month now and are having contractors come pretty much every weekly to fix issues we’re finding. I’m sure this is not uncommon for a newly built home but I feel this whole process could be improved if the customer is allowed to come and visit their home until the day they get their keys. We had a rough start with the planning of our home. The wrong design was submitted, and we weren’t told about the siding color restrictions. Ultimately everything was corrected and we are very satisfied.

I recently purchased a home at The Preserve at Meadow Lakes. I had the pleasure of working with Monica B. at the sales office and Melissa, the warranty specialist. They were both lovely to work with and made the buying experience seamless. Both are extremely professional, knowledgeable and respond to any and all questions. I would highly recommend the sales team here when looking for a new home. I wake up happy everyday because I love my new house!!!!!

We are delighted with our new home at the Preserve at Meadow Lakes in North Ridgeville. The house is everything we were looking and hoping for and is perfect for us. The purchase and the construction processes went as promised and we actually got our home ahead of the originally scheduled construction timeline. Everything we wanted in our home was delivered and the people that we worked with were friendly, responsive and supportive throughout. The sales team members were terrific to work with and communicated fully throughout the entire process. This was our first home build and we really enjoyed the process. From beginning to end we were informed of what was going on in the home and aware of any issues that popped up. My questions were answered quickly and thoroughly prior to moving into the home. Nothing feels cheap or poorly finished. I can tell there was a lot of attention to detail and the entire process was professionally managed.

We love our new home. In general we were pleased with the outcome. There were some things that we pointed out during our walk through that needed to be addressed that as of today have not been completed.

Everyone has been supportive and helpful throughout the whole process. Made a potentially tedious process fun and enjoyable!

Final cleaning poor, ceiling texturing poor, issues with shower grout and caulk lines, wall paint not durable scuffs easily and does not clean well

Friendly & responsive

Sales was amazing!! Design was great!!! Everything after that was awful. No one was on the same page, responsiveness was not timely at all nor was the care of the customer...who is funding the whole project! There was no way the customer could make any changes but if the builder made a change there was no communication regarding it to the customer. Builder was more loyal to contractors who had an extremely low level skill than they were for the customer.
