Having difficult time getting time getting landscape contractor (Davey) to fix the grading that was not properly completed, twice. Davey tells Service they will get in touch with us, have not heard from them. Landscape Contractor (Davey) was out and admitted the grading was not correct, as well as they would be right back to replace dead bush, never returned. Excuses we get is workers are getting fired or quitting, Davey is not responding. House was not cleaned behind appliances when we encountered bug issue we started to pull out appliance, but did not want to possibly scratch floor, so we put in work order. We were told the appliances will not be pulled out now to have cleaning person clean behind them, may scratch floor. There are bits of drywall that should have been cleaned, We trusted that a clean house is a clean house everywhere. Dishwasher can not be pulled out to check, stove has limited movement due to gas line. Are told a cleaner will be sent out but not sure what she will clean since she does not move appliances. Sliding door issue taking over 3 months for issue to be addressed by supplier. K. Hovnavian employees respond but resolution to some issues are not being met. Trim painting is very poor. Rough sawn areas that are just painted over. Nail holes exposed, door jams are beat up just painted over. Trim has areas where the paint looks like blisters. Not sure of were to draw the line on submitting Work Orders. Purchasing a new home should be a total excitement experience but that lasted a short time. ... More

The sales process was flawless, and everyone on the team was helpful. However, once we closed on the houses, all the promises went out the window.

K Hovnanian does not build quality homes. There is absolutely no insulation in interior walls so the house noise travels through the walls especially when the washer is going. Unbelievable. Also, the house paint job inside was poor and the entire house inside and out was dirty. Very disappointed when we saw it and had to clean it all before we moved in. Poor quality in many areas.

Good price and the people I talked too help me a lot.

missing screws from door, paint spilled on floor, counter top might not be stable

I documented a list of items that required correction before moving in, both in writing and through direct conversations. Months later, none of these issues have been resolved. Despite repeated attempts to follow up, the superintendent, Alex, has been unresponsive to calls and messages. This experience has been extremely disappointing, and based on it, I cannot recommend purchasing a home from this builder.

This entire experience was terrible and the house is cheaply built. Would not recommend.

Pros: It was a pretty smooth process as the build was already taking place when we acquired the property. They worked with us in changing the floor coloring when the original floors were delayed by weeks. They also have been amazing with helping us resolve issues with the home that comes with every new build. Our project a manager, Alex, was absolutely amazing and I couldn’t have asked for someone better to work alongside of us. Cons: We were not able to adjust any colors due to the build pressure being developed even thought it was only at the framing stage. Also the build was left on the MLS and dropped 10k after we signed out papers. We asked for our agreement to be changed to represent that 10k decrease in price and the sales/realtor person for K. Hovan homes refused to do so. He blamed it on someone at cooperate. However, when I called cooperate about this they explained to me that it is up to the realtor of that area to remove properties from the MLS and we should be able to have our agreement altered. The relator still refused to do so. He also had stated when we looked at the model home he would be able to cover closing cost and this was NOT something the did. He only gave 3k towards closing cost and the finance company could not understand how we had to do our home, since we still owned our previous home and was doing a land contract agreement for it.
