The framers were fantastic. Most of the contractors are garbage. When we moved into our home we found we had a water pressure issue after new lawn install builder blames city city blames builder still no fix. Many small drywall issues never fixed. And still missing light fixtures in the home a month after closing.

Buying a home without seeing it and being 1000 miles away was tough. But FeliCa, Kevin and Monica went above and beyond to make it as easy as possible. FeliCa made sure to keep in contact with updates all the time Kevin handled the pressure of me pushing to get it done early and texting pictures every once in awhile to show great progress.

We had a wonderful experience! They really walk you through the process, and take the time to provide quality service. The homes are gorgeous, and great value for what you get in return.

The agents involved and most especially, the Mortgage folks were incredibly communicative and responsive. While any new home has some "growing pains" everyone has, so far, been incredibly on point at addressing some very minor details.

The entire process from booking to closing was very smooth and I am satisfied with the quality of constructions. Overall satisfied and would recommend others to buy homes from this builder.

Upgraded A/C system has 3 separate controllable zones, allows us to set temperatures to suit the usage of different living areas . For the cost it offers great value for money. The site superintendent was very knowledgeable and answered all questions really well.

The process was okay, but not the best for my first homebuying experience. There was a lot of lack of communication and just general issues that were shoved under the rug. I do not recommend the KHov Mortgage company at all. The woman assigned to me was new and did not answer any of my questions, instead just rushed me and tried to get my money. If I had to do it again I would be going with a personal lender.

For how long we had to wait, I’m not so satisfied. Things still need to be fixed, workmanship was horrible. You need to hire people that know what they are doing. Covering a grout mistake is terrible. My grout is horrible. Was told nothing can be done. I’m sure I will in time love my house.

Quality of Material not excellent

Our experience with K. Hov has been fantastic. Our home design "Serenity" has efficient use of space and is extremely functional for a single family. Our build team is fantastic, specifically the build manager, Sean. We built during COVID-19 and had significant delays like every industry did, but Sean kept us in the loop and was always up front and very responsive if we had questions or concerns.

Super nice upon first meeting. Was told we had 24 hours to decide on lot w/o a deposit. Called 20 mins after visit to set up earnest and was told the lot we chose was “sold”. Sales person Heather G was always “out”, stopped doing the weekly follow up calls as promised, hardly responded to texts. Lied about various parts of building process instead of just saying she didn’t know the answer. We had 4 general contractors during the entire process. Eric T was amazing!. Did all he said he would do and then some. He was responsive and caring! If it weren’t for him we would have walked away from the house completely! The quality of the home for the money paid is crap! The trades don’t pay attention to detail. The “upgrades” aren’t really upgrades and I’m constantly filing warranty claims, been in the house for a month. I will never buy a K Hovanian home again! ... I love the house itself. But very poor responsiveness from builder, sales and title company

Wonderful experience all the way around. We love our home . Better than we envisioned and hoped for. And the process was full of great communication from start till this very day. Highly highly recommend

The entire process from booking to closing house was tiresome. I booked my home in November and the delivery date was in March. But I got the house in August. Each time I talk to the builder the house was getting delayed by a month. I understand the delay was because of delay in raw material, labour, city and COVID but as a customer it felt frustrating. The quality of the house is pretty good. There were minor things which builder took care immediately. The builder team were pretty helpful and informative. They delivered what was told. I had some minor issues when I went ahead with my own lender rather than builders lender but it was resolved in timely manner. I would recommend this builder to any of my friends ... More

The process started out well but quickly declined in the areas of communication, integrity and quality. Very poor craftsmanship and supervisors are not managing and being held accountable for workers poor work.

When I started my home search I was sold on the brand, quality, and reputation I gathered from conducting some extensive research. As I discovered after going under contract with K Hovnanian Homes this was not the home buying experience I would have expected from such a reputable builder. Starting from the Area Sales Manager (Invisible) to the VP of Sales. When I had concerns about the construction start of my home the VP of Sales was very defensive /argumentative trying to force me to cancel my contract demonstrating poor craftsmanship after closing on my home. Patty was amazing helping us through the process. She was attentive to our every need and helped out as best she could, going the extra mile all the time!

The sales process was rushed with many material information provided seemingly on an ad-hoc basis instead of thoroughly explained at the outset. Materials used for the construction feel cheap, especially the upgraded kitchen that comes at a material premium, and the stairs and the bathrooms, which are visibly deteriorating only a few weeks after moving-in. The main issue for us is the quality of the finishes. Despite the best effort of the builder's team, it remains below par. Responsiveness to issue, honesty and willingness to assist from the builder's team has been outstanding. Although it is early stage, we got the feeling that we won't get the same level of service going forward. ... More

Buying a home is a big decision, take extra care on your decision when purchasing from Khovanian, What they think is completed vs my completed are vastly different. If I had to do it over, I would not pay for upgrades and I would use that money for contractors to come in and do it correctly. Their construction division and project management team is broken, they do not manage expectations with the customer. When you get your keys do not expect a clean home or detail work to be completed. I’ve lived in my new home for a month and they still need to paint my trim work, paint all the interior doors and get markings off the kitchen counters. I feel the painters were amateur and not professional. I have paint on all the mirrors and the amount of paint on my new floors is ridiculous. If I had to do it again…I don’t think I would!! ... As background, I have moved around the country a few times and have worked with a few builders previously and so I have some perspective on the level of service and expertise generally provided. That being said, I would like to take the time to point out the exceptional service that the entire K Hov team has provided. The level of care and attention to detail he provided is truly exceptional. Considering all of the difficulties associated with the Covid-19 pandemic, strained supply chains, and crazy weather in the Houston area I would have expected some unavoidable deficits in service. To my great surprise, this was not only not the case but the experience K Hov provided far outpaces any previous experiences I have had. Starting with meeting the buyer representative to the pre-construction meeting, throughout the entire process to cloising, the buyer rep, foreman, and finance team were knowledgeable, professional, and highly detailed. They remained in contact with us throughout the home building process and took the time to go into detail about every aspect of construction, home care in the Houston environment, and thoroughly explained the warranty coverage. We had a high degree of confidence that when the team said something was being done, we simply knew it was being handled. We truly felt that the K Hov team exercised the same level of care in building a home for my family as he would have if building his own home. At no point in the process did we feel anything other than completely in good hands. K Hovnanian not only know their craft but also know how to talk to people and help them with one of the biggest purchases they will ever make. ... More

Shouldn’t have bought a home during Covid. Structurally the house is great. The fit and finish is the worst I have ever seen for $400,000 house
