Elegant beautiful build but would have been rated higher if something could have been done with the sound coming inside especially with the master bedroom location and the trains that go honking all night

Looooove our new home! But it seems that the builders cut way too many corners or don’t pay attention to detail. Many cosmetic flaws are very noticeable even to our visitors. Our fence was falling apart when we moved in. Khov was quick to fix which is good! But since the area where I purchased my khov home prices homes high, I would think they put in more supervision to each home that is built. Walk throughs are not enough.

Build and punch-list were not without issues, but the builder was very responsive. Overall I feel like we had far fewer issues than friends and relatives have had with other builders. Overall we are a satisfied customer, and have no regrets.

All in all, the process was really good and any bumps we experienced were managed satisfactorily.

Our home is immaculate, The site realtor Shauna and site manager Mike were fantastic, we appreciate all their help and insight, My only issue came with getting a loan officer to start the process. We were shuffled between three different loan officers and had two different loan processors. We are thankful for our home and I did refer my friend to Khov their new home build.

First I want to say if it wasn’t for Brandy the experience would be a lot worse. From start to finish Brand made sure we were always informed and feeling good about our house. Truly was the big reason we bought with Khov. The building and construction side I just never trusted the process. This not my first build so I have understanding how it should go. Really felt like my house didn’t have someone watching over it and the contractors could do whatever they want. Then we would send notes to help fix and really would never get an answer or waited till final will through and then was still fixing issues after I signed. We have a lot of things we picked out not happen or get something else. Didn’t see like the construction team really cares about the selection sheet. If we didn’t say something I’m sure we would of got upgrades we didn’t pay for but was put in. We had a small issue with how our dishwasher was framed. They addressed and on final walkthrough it was worse what they fixed. What was said is well our contractor do things differently depending who does it. Weird answer when I knew how to fix it. Then they came back to fix it and it looked better and we thought it was done. Then came back a third time to fix it again. Just seems like contractors do what they want and the team accepts hoping the customer doesn’t say anything. Attention to detail just lacks on the construction team. They are all very nice and I know a lot of changes have happen but my home is forever. We will be using the warranty a lot cause the more you live in there the more I notice. My last home that was built I didn’t use it once cause the attention to detail was amazing. Which I’m sure only helps the bottom line in a business. Always willing to give more fees back if asked. We love our home just the process and the quality of workmanship was just a pain. ... More

If you have a truck ensure your attempt to put it in the garage to see if it fits. This is something I didn’t do and wish I did. My truck doesn’t fit in my garage forcing me to park across the street

I felt that the tactics used by Robert were unprofessional. We were offered certain incentives, but then when the written contract was presented for signature, these incentives had been removed. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

quality of workmanship and materials are really good. communication is really poor rather than that over all its good.

The lawn was poorly laid, leaving uneven, unleveled areas. Some areas has holes covered by sod, creating a potential fall and injury hazard. There are several areas of the tiled floor that are uneven, indicating poor leveling prior to installation. Several areas along the base boards and tile has paint spotting that was not cleaned up prior to the completion of sale. It does not appear that there was any attempt to make-ready the house. In other words, the windows are all smeared, some door don't latch when pulled to, mulching of the gardens was half done. One garage door was without an opener. I've purchased other properties and have not seen this before. My move-in has only been about 4 months, and with work and limited time I've not been able to cover all aspects of the house. We purchased our home in September and the overall Purchase experience (sales & financing)was great. Unfortunately, we have had issues that we weren't expecting from a new build. The company itself and the people we have worked with have been good, but the workmanship and materials leaves a lot to be desired.

The warranty department has been great, Brett, Nick, and Kristi. They are very responsive. However, the sales experience was not good, as the people in the front office were unpleasant. Also, since closing, we’ve had numerous issues that have needed to be repaired. The quality of the construction of the home and materials was unacceptable.

The house is clearly a track build. There are a few disappointing items in the house which could’ve had a little bit more attention to detail where I understand the track build and not a custom build. There are so many issues that they just don’t seem to want to look at I hear so many new homeowners floors are sloping. Have they fixed the issue in the future homes that they’re building? They don’t seem to want to give an answer. They’re very uncommunicative after you move in.

The home buying experiencewas strong for the most part, but communication was severely lacking from our salesperson, Joe, at times, and that somewhat soured the buying experience. But we do appreciate Casey, one of the construction managers, who went the extra mile for us prior to our settlement and orientation. More importantly, we've had to report a dozen or so small repair requests since moving in within the first three months, and while about a third of them have been fixed in a timely manner, most have not, despite our 1-year warranty. We've had to chase down staff to follow up on repairs. None of the faults have been major, except a leak in our master bathroom sink (the drywall had to be pulled out, and it has gone unrepaired for months). The paint on the walls is extremely thin, so it's incredibly easy to scuff or dirty the walls, but overall we're grateful every day for a house of this quality at the price we got it at. ... More

Construction managers work hard to earn perfect score after we buy home they vanish . Home had lot of issues starting from basement leaks , HVAC pipe rusted , it is truly heartbreaking to put my blood & sweat to buy this home and then I encounter these issues . You guys did ok but I’m still healing from this home buying experience, KHOV is a reputed builder - I put lot of trust in you .

Sales, the team was great. Offerings, great. At the end of the day, we were fully satisfied with the sales process and what we got for what we paid. Seriously. But that said, we're only 90 days into our new home, and we've had at least a dozen problems. Two of 3 toilets have failed, one causing a flood. Reason - cheap contractor parts. One toilet had to be fixed twice. Fridge door wouldn't close. hardware not tight, now shifting and off level. Leak coming from washer, been waiting 3+ weeks for repair on that. The painters they used are probably 9 year olds, I've seen better finger painting. Khov holds themselves out as high end. They're fliting with it. But when I take occupancy, there should be NO issues, and only minimal issues thereafter. Not the case with us. Nor our neighbors, I might add. ... More

On the surface it looks beautiful but once living in the home you notice flaws such as cheaper quality materials in almost everything.. the longer you live in the home the more you find the lack of workmanship such as in the electrical system. It is as if they hired vendors who were supervised on the job. But KHOV’s warranty and response to those issues has been superior.

Responsiveness to issues is hit or miss. Sometimes its immediate, and sometimes I have to track down and pester people to get the problems addressed.

I can't get the head of construction to respond to my texts or calls, never mind that HE reached out to ME asking about whether KHOV installed the right doors inside my garage. I still don't know because NOBODY WILL GET BACK TO ME.

1.Not great when It comes to quality and workmanship 2.No value for the price paid. 3.Good team and company but not a great construction and quality.

For the most part, I am very satisfied with my new K Hovnanian home. There has been multiple changes with the construction supervisor during the building process. I moved into my home the beginning of November and have still not been contacted regarding my 30 day “list of concerns “. This may be due to yet another change in personnel and the ball was dropped. My construction supervisors were great to work with as the house was built but now I am not sure how to resolve the current issues with my home. I have already spent my own money fixing a sump pump that would not turn off, a garage door that literally jumped off the track (the contact info for the installer was indicated on a sticker), they would not return my phone call. I am frustrated at this point because I do love my new home! ... More

It was streamlined but craftsmanship could be improved

Sales people and on site construction supervisors were professional and responsive. Finance personnel were were not always professional and somewhat none responsive. Overall good experience.

When we bought the house, we were aware that the flooring was not of the highest quality, but we were okay with that trade-off. However, we encountered a couple of issues that were disappointing. When attempting to mount a TV upstairs, we discovered that the studs are spaced every 2 feet on interior non-load bearing walls, which made the process more challenging than expected. Additionally, the glass on the patio door was scratched, and we have been waiting for a replacement for almost three months now.

I recently purchased a newly built home I am extremely pleased with my decision. The home is beautifully designed however the finishes are cheap and attention to the details was not done properly. As a result, I have many issues relating to my purchase and frustrations to go with it. The layout of the home is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, with spacious rooms, modern finishes, and plenty of natural light. The kitchen and bathrooms are particularly impressive, featuring top-of-the-line appliances and fixtures. The buying process was straightforward. The Mortgage was professional, knowledgeable, and responsive, making sure all my questions were answered and any concerns were addressed promptly. They provided excellent customer service from start to finish. Overall, I am satisfied with my new home however I expected a better finish and quality from this builder: - I would recommend them however make sure to pay attention to every detail. ... More
