The sales and construction team were the best, they were always responsive, resourceful, and available to help. The sales team made this experience smooth, providing the information needed and support in a very human and professional manner.

The members at K.Hovnanian have been amazing. We are first time home buyers and they walked us through the entire process. They are trustworthy and thorough. The builders were also great and respond with diligence and promptness to any issues you may have with the build. I would 100% recommend K.Hovnanian to any future home buyers!

Our unit was delivered late due to multiple issues over the year e.g. getting the utilities run to the complex and bad weather. We love our new home but had issues with cleanliness, paint all over the floors, error in undercabinet lighting, and flooring workmanship. The team we worked directly with were/are responsive and it seems we are working through all the issues. We closed on Oct 30, 2022 and it is now Feb 7, 2023 with issues still pending. One issue is pretty big and requires the subflooring to be removed and a beam shaved down.

It has been a good experience. We have had some issues we’ve had to address but most have been taken care of. We would buy from Hovnanian again.

Overall we are pretty satisfied. But there has been some inconsistencies.

Working with Joe and James was a pleasure

The house was move in ready but there was a lot discrepancies that needed to be addressed. I felt unprepared when I moved in. It’s an information overload but also there is information that is never given. I was given answered to my questions in the moment only to find out they were wrong answers and made me feel lied to. The warranty person has been great. When I do have tickets they are handled immediately or I get a call immediately that it will be handled. I wish the builders took more care before we moved in so I didn’t have strangers in my house for warranty. It’s a huge stressor to me to find someone who can be here for it, or take time off to be home fortunately our warranty agent usually plans it all for the same day. Is it possible that if the builders took more caution it would have been done prior too. Some information I asked for the builders refused to give me. Information on what my electrical is rated and where the wires are were denied to me which is crazy because as I improve my house I don’t know what or where my electrical is. They also aren’t sure what the inside paint colors are for doors and baseboards. I would of liked all this in my email or printed information. The warranty agent has been very helpful, but I wish the builders either had more time, been more aware of the trades and their workmanship so I wouldn’t have to call warranty always. This is my first home purchase and our sales representative, Ashley was amazing. She really made the process as easy and painless as possible. My only grief is that there was multiple damages to the wood floors and overspill in many areas. Thankfully, they were quick to respond to repair these issues.

Our sales rep Danielle was great throughout the entire process she kept us up to date with what was going on every week with videos and pictures. The home is great, there’s a couple little things that we’ll be contacting the warranty department about but they are very minor. Overall we are very happy.

The sales person Todd Brewer is great and impressed by his professionalism and responsiveness. The construction manager Jeff is also vey easy to deal with. But the person, John, who led us for the Walkthrough was not much of a professional guy. He does not like to give answer to our questions. He behaves as if "I am gonna read these things that I prepared to read, you just shut up, and listen, and get done with it." I do not know how to deal with this person for the entire time of warranty. Unfortunately for me, he is THE contact person if anything happens during the warranty period. Sad!

I had a great experience with the sales offices - especially Joe. They listened and answered questions over and over again each time I asked with a smile. The construction team - especially James were amazing. Going above and beyond to ensure that we were satisfied with the work being done to the house. The only unpleasant experience was with the mortgage company through Khov in particular - Andrew. He was very unprofessional and did not have the knowledge and background to assist with a purchase that started in November and completed in July. Good Experience! Nice people! Great locations! But still found some issues after closing.

All things above were well taken care of. Questions were informed and answered quickly. Our realtor was wonderful!

project lead was amazing. She responded to every concern immediately.

The on-site sales staff were efficient and curtsey. The loan processor worked closely with me to iron out the few issues that came up regards to my credit. At first, I was concern that all of my financing was being considered long distance to another state but we found ways to work around the time difference.

The builders have done a good job in building our house. Material used can be better for the price we have paid. Our salesperson June was really helpful throughout the process

I want to start with the fact that overall I am happy with the home. The overall process was fairly good. We did have a last minute delay with only a couple (2 or 3 I can't remember exactly) weeks notice which caused my family to scramble at the last minute to find a place to live. What is most frustrating about the delay is that it was something that could have been avoided with better planning. All KHOV needed to do was to ensure that the gas meter was installed in time instead of waiting until the last minute so that they didn't incur carrying costs with a gas bill. The construction of the home has the feel of quality building and we do not hear people talking or walking from across the home. The materials used are not the most expensive around but are of good quality. Although during construction we asked for KHOV to add 1 ethernet cable to one room that we were going to use as an office and we got the run around. Instead of telling us no, which is what ultimately happened, they strung us along. Apparently running a $20 ethernet cable was too much trouble for them. The design of the home has good flow and having 2 bedrooms with private baths gives us more options. The design of the kitchen and bathrooms were both done well. Even the kitchen cabinets are of good quality. One issue with the design is that we have a white backsplash with a cream colored countertop, I mean who does that. And no we did not have a choice in these options. Even though we asked about changes we were told the process was too far along, even though they were still studding out walls when we bought the place. The finishing of the home is sub-par at best. Some spots I would even call very poor. The flashing around the outside of some of the windows looks like the caulk was put on by a kid finger painting. The interior paint has plenty of drip spots and is so cheap that is is not cleanable. It appears to be eggshell so that it helps to hide the sheetrock finish imperfections. We will need to have the entire interior painted at some point. I have pointed out a lot of the negatives because those are the things that stick in your mind so I want to be sure to set the record straight. I am happy with this home overall and if given the chance I would purchase it again. The home has a great layout, plenty of windows and we love the double ovens in the kitchen. The house is well built for track type build - they have a lot of detail in their builds. Their plans are good for older folks like us as well as first home buyers. The use of K. Hovnanian Mortgage was relatively easy as compared to other mortgages I have taken in the past. I would buy another KHov home. Nice job KHov all around....

The entire process from signing the contract to closing date was good. The communication with the sales person, construction manager was very good. Hired a private inspector to review to 3 stages of construction and his opinion of construction quality was much better than many builders. Any issues that came up were resolved in a timely manner. But the biggest issue i had was network cabling for home network. The electricians pulled cat6 data cable. They used electrical boxes instead of low voltage boxes in the wall. The cut the cables in the wiring closet with only 30 inches exposed. The even pulled one data cable i paid for and them removed it when sheetrock was installed. They would not allow me to hire my own cabling contractor. The result was i had to rip most of it out and do it myself after closing. I do "IT" support from home and need a reliable home network. Building out a wired home network would have been much easier during framing but was not allowed to do so. Other than the home network problem the outcome of the overall build was pretty good due to the weekly verification of work and communication and initiated with sales and the construction manager. ...
