K. Hovnanian® Homes Reviews

A lot of different small problems through the house that should have been fixed prior to giving me the keys. The whole process with the sales agent was terrible .

Pleasant buying experience, even in stressful times.

It was a great time home buying with KH

With COVID bearing down, and with a massive change in the AZ housing market, K Hov gave me confidence in my purchase and kept in contact throughout the entire time. I appreciate the sales rep and contractors so much. They are wonderful and I’m so happy with my entire experience.

Knowledgeable on site building supervisor who cared about quality, time schedule and client concerns.

The process was really easy and all questions were answered as soon as possible. One issue came up with electrical when we moved in, someone was there the next day to fix it. We love our new home!

Great plan of the house. Attentive to buyers concerns and request a about the structure. Very detailed walk through and minor corrections were done without issues. Great value for a house this size.

This was a very smooth and great buying experience

Unfortunately delays of at least two months due to Covid 19 . The reasoning for all things that did not go as planned . Heba did her job on the sales end however the staff after that were less in performance .

The entire K. Hovanian team was honest, transparent, caring, and resourceful! We were a little apprehensive about going new construction but I’m so glad that we did and even more grateful we went through this builder. Even after closing and settling it the sales and construction team check in regularly to make sure we are happy and to address any issues that have arisen. The quality of the home, appliances, and technology is above excellent and I would certainly recommend to my family and friends!

My Sales Consultant Naomi was the best she assisted me in every kind of way possible. She made you feel that you could trust in their homes.

Khov team is very helpful throughout the process. Made my first time buying experience simple and smooth.

Throughout the entire process we were given step by step instructions and weekly follow ups. Our date of the build was exact and had no unexpected delays aside from a huge winter storm that shut down the whole state. Shelby with k Hovnanian made the experience fantastic

Great home, great experience. Thank you

While my overall purchase experience was good, I think that K.Hovnanian drops the ball on their communication with their buyers. There were a few things that we were very disappointed with and it seems that upper management just kind of passed it on to their front line reps (the sales office) Although there was nothing that they could do personally (even I knew that) they tried their hardest to make it right. Example One - we were initially told that putting our earnest money in held the price of the home. Turns out it did not but the sales person that assisted us (not our sales person because she was out of the office) took zero responsibility for what she had told us and we were given zero consideration to the fact that this was done to us (and now the home was $16000 more) Instead I got the line that "My management said there was nothing we could do about that." That's fine, but at least own up to your error. Example two, We were delayed by 3 months. Our initial date in Feb, then March, then April. Causing me to go beyond my lease and pay a premium on my rent because I was month to month. When I asked for some type of compensations, the response was No our company does not do that. The only apology came from our salesperson. Also the fact that all of their options were as packages vs "A la Carte" really made me sad. While it maybe every day that you guys are selling the homes, its a monumental purchase for first time homebuyers. I think that you guys should keep that in mind when doing design meetings, frame walks and move-ins ... More

Very responsive and took care of any/all issues that came during and after the purchase.

The purchasing process and design process was awesome. Debbie was fantastic and super helpful throughout the entire process. We’ve had issues after moving in, and the responsiveness hasn’t been to our expectations. The issues have yet to be resolved.

The sales rep was very attentive and timely in both responses and updates; very diligent, reliable, accommodating, and efficient. She helped make the home-buying process and experience easy and enjoyable. Additionally, she helped smooth over some bumps in the road. The building team did a good job overall, despite some moments of untimely responses. Team members were very courteous, and their follow-up repairs (per inspection reports) were timely and clean.

Had the pleasure of working with Michael, who sold us the home. It was our first home purchase so it was a little nerve wracking but he made sure to explain everything to us to make sure all our concerns were addressed.

Ours sales agent was a delight to work with. She was very helpful and responsive. We had to make a relocation and find a home quickly and she was instrumental in accomplishing our deadline.

Appreciate the communications. We were called every week as promised. We were a little disappointed that some of the options we wanted or were told were available ended up not being available.

Knowledge of business, response of superintendent, friendly people, helpful

I appreciate all the patience Adrian and Gary had with my family . Thank you all for your work ! When receiving the keys of our home, the lady who handed them to me was also very nice.

Living 4 hours away while building was made so much easier when dealing with Josh in Sales and Dave, the construction manager. I received weekly photos and updates. I also appreciated Logan’s attention to concerns. The only issues have been with certain materials - example, the kitchen sink is cheap and very shallow (I do however like the Moen fawcetts.). The garage door is also cheaply made, it is very noisy, but it looks good. Basically, I give construction a very high rating, but not so much on basic materials. The selection of appliances was also lacking - they’re just ok. Overall it was an awesome experience and the people at KHOV made it that way. ... More

Excellent service with a smile.
