For the most part, we are very happy with our new K. Hovnanian home (so far). We had some minor repair issues that were addressed in a timely manner once I contacted the warranty service team. They were really good and responded very quickly. Overall, the workmanship was very good although I wish that full plywood sheathing should have been done all the way around the house, not just the front and back. My only other slight disappointment is the kitchen appliances that came standard with the house. K. Hovnanian could have put some that are slightly better. We plan to upgrade them in the next couple of years. Our experience with our salesperson Karen was awesome! She's the best! Overall a good experience and I would do it again. Liked all but one of the Khov team members.

My house turned out great. I hired a private inspector and only minor cosmetic issues were reported. Carlos frequently updated me with the progress of the construction and was very informative. I'm grateful for his advises. Jacob was very responsive to service requests after closing of the home. My only issue was with the loan officers. I don't know if this is normal but the final closing amount was not provided to me until the day before closing and that resulted payment not received on time.

I called to see if it was possible to reschedule it but no one got ever back to me and I almost had to rush back from work

Inspect every corner, room, inside, outside, top, bottom. With that being said, my sales rep, contractor, lender, and everyone that I personally dealt with were nice, respectful, and attentive to my concerns. I am just not happy about the workmanship of their workers.

Value for the price is OK but the quality of the work does not seem to be very good. Other builders do a lot of standard things that are upgrade with a K HOV That brings the total price of The house compared to the other builders even starting with a lower base price.

After hearing some of the horror stories with the competing builders I am glad we chose this builder. There will alway be minor issues and Mark Curtis does a great job responding and getting issues resolved.

We are happy with the home, community and how the company responded to the few issues we found once we moved in. I recommed the Casa Del Mar community and K. Hovnanian Inc.

We absolutely love our home, we purchased one already built, however there were some details that were overlooked by KHov. There are things that cannot be corrected according to the builder such as crooked walls, flooring not lined up straight. Island in kitchen not straight. Since these are already in place, we are stuck with it. Please inspect everything before committing.

Good experience dealing with KHov builder and then KHov Mortgage. Made the process much easier.

Builder should include window sills as part of the build. Unreasonable to have no sills and flat painted surfaces. How would you clean? What if water got on it? Houses are built too close together. Barely enough room to get a lawnmower between the house and the rock wall separating the property line.

Some design work isn't very elegant. Functional, but cheap looking. None of the of the motion switches were properly programmed. The lights were always going out until we got them setup. We weren't given the user manuals for any of the appliances. It took weeks of complaining to get the solar panels operational. The quality of the paint is cheap. The walls cannot be touched or wiped without leaving a mark . The house is beautiful as long as you don't look too deep.

Overall my experience with K. Hovnanian was good except that there were a lot of minor issues with the home and it has taken a lot of time to get the issues addressed and are still being addressed.

Love the house and the community. Staff was easy to deal with, and makes things right. Like most builders these days, though, First Time Quality has been sacrificed in favor of cost and schedule. Very responsive to warranty claims, but at this price point I wouldn't expect to have any. Also some logical options/upgrades for a 55+ community (e.g. washer/dryer pedestals, in-ground sprinkler systems, etc.) weren't even offered. this house is very well done, there some small details that i would have different! but over all i give the experience a 98 percent out of 100! i have only been here 3 months , i will see how the future brings to us?! thanks. craig

Heather, Scott and Ayla are awesome. We love our new home. A little disappointed the quality of some of the products used (paint, dry wall, wall texture, cabinets). They look great, but probably won’t last long. Drywall is very bad quality, things we hang on the wall don’t stay because the drywall can’t support a hook.

Good. But at the same time. I would like to have choice for: using Gas or Electricity or both. For the A/C and Heater.

Hadn’t bought a home in over 30 years. KHOV made the experience as easy as possible. They are quick to respond to any issues we’ve had with the home. Very happy with our purchase.

She was both helpful and kind as on-site contact. My only disappointment was feeling like I was on a treadmill infant-forward during the purchase, mortgage process.

Quality of work could have been better ( poor paint job and finish; drain & tiles in master bathroom had to be repaired shortly after we moved in; heating system & thermostat had to be serviced because they were not calibrated; cracks in driveway and garage floor of a brand new home; yard not level and drainage poor creating sloppy/sludgy areas).

We really love our new home from K.Hovnanian builders. The layout was perfect for our family and the lot size we found was a true gem. We've had a great relationship with our construction manager, John, and have found him to be very responsive. The location for this neighborhood is deal and well thought out. I do wish they were more diverse in their landscaping and had nicer finishes in the non main room areas (guest bath, closets, light fixtures, etc). Our biggest issue was the cleanliness of the home upon delivery. The builders could afford to hire a cleaning crew to do a full, detail cleaning of the home prior to handing over the keys. It took us two days and 5 cleaning crew people to clean the dust, floors, and cabinetry. ... More

In general, it was a good experience, an efficient process. The overall finishes of the house are good, and the promptness in responding to warranty requests has been timely.
