Attention to details are lacking. We didn’t get the attention and service that we should have gotten from the initial sales team. We would have appreciated more attention to detail and flexibility on K Hov part. Later on we did get the attention we needed. Only after we had to call time and time again.

Here are some big criticisms from our build: How disrespectful the contractors are about using the toilets when working in the house… How disappointed we were with the amount of trash and debris was in the yard and house during the build The house was not adequately cleaned when we took possession of the house… really sad Really sad that the materials, lighting, fans… how cheap they are. Mass ordered and look cheap The brilliant home package is very disappointing. They haven’t even completed our house install yet

Flexibility in selection of upgrades could have been better. Kitchen appliances could have been better, or not have been included in the price so that the customers can buy what they like.

It was not understood about the timeframe involved in picking your selections. When we thought we had 3 days to cancel the entire purchase - it was 3 days to make any changes to the initial construction floor plan. We wanted to make further changes after the 3 days and were not allowed. Didn't make any sense since the plans are basically the same and no monies were spent. The appointment from the initial construction choices to the appointment to pick your selections within the house should NOT be far off. This will allow you to know the Total amount that you are really spending - up front. Our basement sump pump broke during construction and the basement flooded causing major damage to the concrete finish and further damage was caused by the construction crew using acid wash trying to fix it. It has been a big struggle to get resolved - still waiting. Our home looks beautiful, our basement looks 40 years old and looks like a dungeon. ... More

The sales person and buying experience was very good. However, the building process was not as good. Building and finish of the house was delayed by 6 months. Construction managers were leaving frequently. Seems like they could not keep up with sales. Lots of last minute scrambling before settlement, cancelled settlement at the last minute and now post settlement very slow to address punch list items.

Very responsive when Inquires was send it, disappointed regarding the multiple delays. But my overall experience was satisfactory

While there are certainly many things to like about the house, location, and customer sales representative there also were too many problems along the way. Many delays, a lot of misinformation, failure to follow agreements without arguments, the worst finish grading job I've ever seen in my life, mediocre job of laying sod, mediocre finish carpentry work, absolutely stupid placement of the dining room light fixture, acute lack of kitchen & bathroom storage space. The experience overall was good. However we did run into several delays, and communication could’ve been a little better.

I felt like I was strongarmed into using their mortgage company. Beware. I was expecting more attention to the details of this home based on the price I paid for it. More eyes need to be on the details of these homes. Seems like they are throwing them up and no one is really paying attention to all the details.

We were in rentals for five months, very expensive.

The home is lovely but there are several workmanship issues we weren’t expecting (Windows are not the same size on the top versus the bottom for example).

The sales process was rushed with many material information provided seemingly on an ad-hoc basis instead of thoroughly explained at the outset. Materials used for the construction feel cheap, especially the upgraded kitchen that comes at a material premium, and the stairs and the bathrooms, which are visibly deteriorating only a few weeks after moving-in. The main issue for us is the quality of the finishes. Despite the best effort of the builder's team, it remains below par. Responsiveness to issue, honesty and willingness to assist from the builder's team has been outstanding. The sales professional Jay was terrible, Lied to us multiple times, Very Upsetting process starting out. It would be a more honest way of doing business with people to allow them to look at your showroom before making them put up a deposit. Brian was easy to deal with, good experience there. However the builder did leave us with several large dead trees in our yard that are tagged orange to be removed. I expect someone to come remove these tree's as its the right thing to do.

I see so many things are ignored during the build process. It means there was not attention during construction process.

There's been things I've been finding around the house that I didn't catch in the walk through. The foundation feels uneven in parts of the house, and the vinyl planks are popping up. Also, I can see the joints on several parts of the walls throughout the house. It seems like they didn't use any dry wall tape. I don't know, I'm a bit upset because I waited all this time for the house to be built, and the quality is disappointing

The lines of communication were lacking during the build. Many upgrades that a typical person would like were not options. Once the process started there were no changes allowed. Once the house was completed the yard was never graded and remained a mess for months. This builder doesn’t help with the outside at all, even though they tell you they will. After moving in, there are design flaws with kitchen storage and electrical outlets in the master bath and the basement.

My experience in general is not than bad. My best experience is with the sales team, they are incredible awesome. The only bad taste that I have is after I moved. The construction workers are not nice at all. They have destroyed the grass of the house , they continuously blocked my driveway, they is a lot of mud on the road etc. Also my water meter apparently was broken and nobody told me that so my first water utility bill is around $300 dollars. There is too many bad things happening at night. Due to the kind of World we are living now, I would suggest to start building new development as Gated Community ... More

Great home buying experience. However, the sell you on the HOA taking care of everything on the outside including your lawn, bushes, trees and sprinkler system. The lawn, bushes and trees in this neighborhood have been severely neglected to the point where my neighbor has a beach instead of a lawn. My bushes haven’t been cut since I moved in and I have a tree that’s dying because the wind caused it to lean and the rootball is exposed. My neighbors and I have brought these things to the attention of both the management company and the builder. The new landscape service (because the old one was so bad) still just Moe’s the lawn while my tree dies, my bushes grow, and my neighbor searches for the ocean that must be near his beachfront property. ... Unfortunately delays of at least two months due to Covid 19 . The reasoning for all things that did not go as planned . Heba did her job on the sales end however the staff after that were less in performance .

When it came time to select our new home, we looked at many options before falling in love with the KHov design for the model we selected. It was really a perfect fit for our needs and we really enjoy the house now that we are in it. The purchasing experience was great, and Victoria was simply awesome and extremely responsive. We used KHov Mortgage due to the incentives offered. Our main contact was very helpful, but the work behind the scenes was very opaque with some mistakes and it was not a good experience. Our construction manager was a pleasure to work with, keeping us well-informed throughout the process and taking the time to send periodic progress pictures, which we greatly appreciated. We completely understood the pandemic-induced construction delays that pushed our move-in date by months. Given all this, it was a fairly good buying experience, despite COVID, but the part that matters most is the quality of the house you actually move into. This is my third new construction purchase, so I expect a decent number of punch list items. Past builders addressed most reported items within a few days and I expected the same. What we encountered was a host of quality issues that went beyond the cosmetic. Service requests raised with KHov sat for more than three weeks before anyone even discussed them with us because their service department is overwhelmed. The double whammy of peak demand in a hot home market and a rekindled economy that has put the construction labor force in tight supply has made it really tough for builders. It seems like many of the trades are over-scheduled right now, more inexperienced people are holding jobs, and materials are hard to procure in a reasonable timeframe. Given this, our somewhat disappointing service experience may not be so much a reflection on KHov solely and could well apply to most builders in our area and perhaps beyond. Great customer service but I feel like more attention needs to be put towards quality checks of completed work. I often had to point out things to be corrected that I felt the construction supervisor should have identified and corrected even before I had to mention it.

Overall, it was not a bad experience at all, but it was not one great either. I understand you have alot of homes to build and alot of warranties to cover, but the overall customer service could be improved on I think. There were many times during the building phases and now in our warranty phase where customer service was lacking, or felt rushed like put a band aid over it and move onto the next house that has issues or questions. Please slow down and explain everything to homeowners as they move into a house. Its a major purchase in life.
