Sales experience with Ron was great. Closing experience with Robert was great. However service has been a little disappointing. 1. Still no paint kit, despite several requests. Was told flat paint, its actually dead flat paint, several trips to home depot and paint purchases and time wasted we had to buy the paint for small areas and the trial and error was not a good experience having to repaint whiskers. 2. Was told because paint kits were scarce they would paint small spots. Opened a ticket someone came out, nice guy. I was asked to sign a screen and told someone would be out to paint my door and deliver a kit. Thats was 2 weeks ago. Had to open another ticket. 3. Opened a ticket regarding debris in lawn causing dead spots of grass. Rebar, wood chunks, metal, makes walking barefoot in grass dangerous. Should not be like this. 4. Common areas. Careless construction drivers driving over curbs ruining grass, concrete.. area is not zoned for 18 wheelers.. construction folks needs to downsize delivery vehicles. 5. Amenities are pretty bad. New homes being built next to park with yellow tape (1 month now). Front sign is broken and the piece broken is sitting on floor since the freeze. Gym is dated, old and needs to remake to match new homes being built. Its like having an old car with rust with new interior. Pressure washed basketball court, no hoops? Overall experience was great. They were honest, quick to respond, and very helpful. There were many things that needed to fixed after we moved in. We still continue to find things that are wrong with our home and it seemed like they rushed to build the house and made many errors. As far as fixing the errors they do an excellent job to make sure everything is how you want it.

Jobs are done half way and not complete

Buying a Khovanian home was a fun experience. Sales team was very helpful. When walk through a were scheduled they were during working hours, I do think a different time frame would be better. The home is beautiful in itself given that it’s new but as we live in it longer we do see defects that we have brought to the superintendent attention. I do understand that there is a delay and shortages due to Covid, but if things are done right the first time there is no need to go back and fix anything. Overall my experience was ok, there was a confusion on delivering my keys. Construction manager was holding on to them when we were standing outside our home. I didn’t expect it to be magical but I also didn’t expect to have to wait an hour for the construction manager to decide when he wanted to give me my keys. ... More

We love our new home; however communication could have been better and felt our concerns were brushed off. Paint on walls and wood trim SHOULD have been done better.

They are decent builders. You will not be getting the best workers, but just decent enough. You will encounter some issues with workmanship, and in some cases you will just be on your own with these issues.

The Company wasn't very helpful or understanding of pandemic issues complicating home buying process. Sellers was not helpful or patient with VA process. This was not a very easy process.Causing us (The Buyers) more expenses in living and home cost.

Allison, the sales agent is very helpful when I have questions and concerns. However, Tom did the sloppy job repairing broken retaining block walls. And before moving into residence, Tom refused to replace kitchen sliding screen where it has a hole. Not happy!

Closing was too much of a rush. My construction manager was excellent

My home is beautiful and the price is amazing! It was a magical experience watching with hopefulness that this beautiful home from dirt field to solid walls and roof would one day be mine. There is much excitement with knowing no one else has lived in my home or made any memories. There are so many well thoughtout designs included, such as the numerous amounts of light switches in just the right locations, dual level air conditioning and heat control, the Internet based products (that were not upgrades but included), beautiful color schemes, open concept, modern finishings, options for upgrades, and sizable rooms and restrooms. I feel blessed to be a K. Hovnanian® Home Owner! With all blessings there are areas of improvement. These recommendations include following through with meetings and stages of the home building as was explained in the pamphlet at time of signing for intent to purchase. As well as the recommendation of not signing off on final walk through unless everything is fixed that is discussed during the final walk through instead of believing that the site supervisor "will take care of it." This is my only regret with my purchase. What was supposed to be any "easy fix" is now a headache, and a home warrantee request. So, they have nice homes. They are better it seems than most national builders. The mortgage process through the builder was a headache of needing just one more thing and a lack of communication. When notified of issues with the home the actual builder supervisor was fairly quick to respond to small requests. Larger ones have yet to be addressed. The building crews leaves trash everywhere in the neighborhood and seems indifferent about cleaning up after themselves. I had higher hopes as they portrayed themselves differently. We love our home. Its ours. But we make it what it is.

Overall, the experience was fair - we were faced with a few challenges along the way, which we felt could have been handled with a bit more care and empathy, but understand that timing is a crucial aspect for transactions like this. After closing, responsiveness to questions and issues seem to have stalled, with a handful of open items never followed up on despite multiple attempts to connect. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming, but there is a breakdown in communication between sales, construction, design, and the homeowners which makes getting answers and information difficult at times. ... Quality of homes is good. Excited to build memories.

There was a lack of professionalism when dealing with closing and because of this I would not recommend khov.

I had a bad experience, when we started the meetings for the home with the chief of construction and the home seller. During the meeting i asked them to reinforce the vents of the house and neglected to do it when they asked me what changes i would want. When they would ask me for more documentation it was for the same documents that i just submitted with the home seller. There was miss communication with the seller and mortgage loan officer.

There was some perks such as incentive. I wish they had model homes visible to see to know exactly what your getting or blue print to go over what includes in the home and how and Carpet will be laid.

We were surprised by how inflexible they were. Also, the house was cleaned nicely but they left a bunch of scrap and junk in the easement ditch on our lot behind the home. We will have to live with this unsightly situation until spring and then will have to clean it up ourselves or pay someone to clean it up. We were told they will level the yard somewhat and put down straw which did not happen

I wish I could talk to someone who is a higher up in the company

The builder met each milestones in the construction process. Builder informed us of any delays and was able to make the lost time to complete the house on time. On few occasions, we had to follow-up with the builder.

electronic signing is nice but pagers fly by so fast you can't read completely
