The process of buying was smooth and enjoyable. However, the quality and craftsmanship has proved to be an issue. I do have confidence they will assist with making things better.

I have a decent experience but in a rush to finish the closing at the earliest and handover to client, builders left several things. I had to raise tickets for multiple issues and i am still raising issues and following up every week. Good thing is they are addressing all the issues without fail but raising tickets and following up each time is a pain.

Good overall. Everything is good quality, just some things a little rushed, but they're responsive with the fixing. Only downside is the price, as it is everywhere. Overall 4/5. Free upgrades I think it deserves for the price: installed smart thermostat, smart doorbell (so it's easy to replace), and at least one HVAC vent in the loft, since it's quite the pricy upgrade and it gets VERY hot in the summer, and VERY cold in the winter. My AC unit unfortunately doesn't heat/cool at the moment, so I might be extra bias on that one.

We felt on our walk through was rushed. and then we felt the house wasn't cleaned as well as we thought it should be upon move in. Couple of issues we noted on walk through were brushed off. (for example...".Oh just put some cleaner on that"...) We did eventually get things taken care of but not until after we made a list and it was fixed through warranty.. But it really shouldn't have been done that way. We do like our home....

There were items that I would have liked to have included and they refused. In this northern area, I would have preferred to have the garage insulated and the hvac included. It makes for a very cold environment in the winter and hot in the summer.

It was pretty seamless from start to finish.

After months of searching for the perfect home, we found this quick move in home at Rancho Cordova with great incentives esp the rate buy down. The sales person John is accommodating and they resolve issues quick. Will def recommend.

The process of building the house was pretty good even though much of it had to be done from out of state. Nick in sales was very responsive and accommodating. The build was done 1 month early which was a major benefit for our family. The process of buying was smooth with Khov financing even though our 1st payment never went to Khov because they sold the loan the day after we signed. The warranty support has been prompt. The longer we are in it, though, the more we can tell that the quality of work in some places is sloppy. (Ex. tile work in the bathrooms, carpet laid over trash, missed painting over primer, the finishing work like caulking throughout the home, overall attention to detail, etc). You can also tell when you get a closer look, some of the materials used are not quality products (ex. the top tier carpet is still builder grade, some of the wood work is pressed boards, etc). The surrounding residential area is quite quiet, and as a residential area, there are many convenient facilities, which is quite nice.

Initial item/punch lists not handled well or at all. New person in charge of fixing items is on it and awesome. Not thrilled with paint option for texture delete walls. I would have paid for upgrade to next paint level. House interior needs to be painted already because white flat gets marked up by the air. Not a reasonable thing to have to do after 3 months. Cabinet choices were not great for price point of house, as well as lack of cabinets/closets. Gourmet kitchen has a tiny fridge. I would extend a few of the options. More cabinets through kitchen dining area/ offer some floor design and kitchen designs ideas/portfolio ahead of design process to make that a more comfortable process. The house is nice but some of these issues would have made it to next level. Sales people and construction managers were very helpful. Financing should have had a 2-3 yr rate buydown because expecting to buy a home in 3-4 percent and it being 3 percent higher is not a good move. ... More

We love our KHovnanian home! The very few issues we’ve had after moving in have been taken care of and the house feels very well built. We liked the floor plans and we’re glad to find one that fit everything we needed in our first home together.

I felt good about my purchase a little upsetting with the final move in. The quality is subpar as far as the materials used. As for the builders team, they were not as efficient nor effective as to all that was promised. (Touch up paint after move in, none was left as promised, after inquiring I was told they don’t do that anymore, no cleaning after work completed. No timely response to my questions and issues. We love our new home, however, we were very disappointed in the workmanship of the drywall finish. There were and still are poorly finished areas on the wall. You could almost say the guy was drunk when he spackled the walls...gouges, cuts, drops of spackle, areas of no sanding; awful. Also, does your builder think everyone is 7 feet tall?? Why are the shower heads and the bathroom light bars nearly 8 feet high?? For us, at retired age, it will be very difficult to change light bulbs and merely clean the fixture. Ridiculous.

Overall experience was okay the sales person was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and the construction personnel tried their best and were responsive to problems

Since I moved in 3 months ago I have had two leaks in the bathroom Doors knobs are falling apart leaks coming from the blinds I am not happy even though issues there fixed this is a brand new build I should not be having theses issues especially for the price of the home and the company that build it

Thanks for this nice wonderful house. I would like to give you 5 stars. But as I didn’t get the mesh cover at my kitchen window (although i asked in Nov 2022) it has minus 1star. Thanks

Great experience buying another property with KHOV.

Loved the ability to customize aspects of the home , unlike other builders. They stuck to the timeline for closing. Being a first time home buyer, it was a whole new world but the sales staff helped all the way through keeping us informed and answering our questions. Some work could have been more intentional & cleaner on the house itself but overall the experience was great

Sales was awesome, the communication from the builder was great the entire time. There were more items needing fixed or finished than I would have liked come closing day. A few of them still not complete a month after closing. I enjoyed working with all of their people during the process, I'd just be much more inclined to rate higher if the last few repairs would be complete at a much faster pace.

The overall experience was good. I did not like the one-sided contracts that say f the buyer and protect the builder. There was a lack of communication from the front office especially after I did my part to make sure that everything was ready for closing. We closed late and no communication was sent before the day of the original closing. I enjoyed working with Sammie because he was the only person who was honest about the whole process and was helpful even after I moved into the home. Very nice and genuine guy for sure. I love the community and have not experienced major issues.

The team overall was very helpful throughout the home buying process. Brandon Rolko was very upfront & down to earth while advising us and Bob & Kayla did a stellar job communicating throughout the build process and addressing concerns. There were some minor issues such as door framing that did not get fully resolved but overall we were very happy. Wish we would have known more about options communicated upfront, but we came in with an initially lower budget than we settled on. It was not clear to us that we had design room visit ability which would have been nice. The home build was much faster than expected and we had a good experience getting graded. We were lucky to settle on a home of our price in the current market, but did find it a bit expensive. Great team overall, could have used a bit more cross communication but was glad to be involved in the process with them all! ... More

QThe 3 men I worked with were responsive, very nice, and good at their jobs!

I first want to say that our sales person Melissa is absolutely amazing and an asset to your company. When we had trouble reaching our construction managers, she was able to get them to respond. Up until the point that we got our keys, it was an amazing work relationship. Once we received the keys, things did not go so smooth. The communication was not very good. When we had problems, Melissa would be our go to, but it shouldn't be that way. Of the construction managers, Jeremy was the best with communication. All I need is a text, email, or phone call that says they are working on this or that. Don't get me wrong, we are very happy with the house. We have found ourselves doing a lot of work outside at the end we didn't expect. Yes, we have the keys, we own our home, but due to the poor communication we have more to do. It would be my suggestion that people not accept the house until all work is completed. Again, overall, we are happy with the construction of our house! It is well built. I went nearly every day to watch the progress. They appear to have followed the code and did a good job with construction. Melissa is an amazing person and we are happy we were able to work with her.
