The sales person and loan people are amazing!

The experience was good overall. Some issues identified were not addressed before move in.

Builder not very flexible with ideas outside of their cookie-cutter plans.

The floor plan is great. A lot of details were missed. I’m still seeing paint on the outside of the windows that need scraping. This is one example of missed details. The new home is still surreal and exciting!

I love my new K. Hovnanian home, but there were a few issues that were not resolved. The team the builders hired to build my home were unprofessional and not respectful of my property.

Better than Ryan homes

I love the home I bought. It has several things I wanted, but couldn’t find in other homes. An example is the master bathroom and master closet. They are exactly what I was looking for!

Allison and Scott were great. Your sales manager and lending team need improvement. They wouldn't even give me my closing costs. Their lender wouldn't match our rate. My payment was $200 more expensive. The bigger builders wouldn't do this. I have a real estate office and team. This makes me never want to do business with K Hov again. I was saving 72k using my lender. They were very rude about it also. Then they were trying to make it as hard as possible for my lender. We didn't have much time to close. Then they were trying to charge me daily if we closed late. I've bought and sold hundreds of new builds. Never seen anything like it. Your lucky to have Scott and Allison. Just to clean up these other things if you want to stop being a small time builder. ... More

We are blessed to have purchased our new K. Hovnanian (Khov) home despite the obvious risks and challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. There were positive changes made in the home buying process to ensure the safety and well-being of both the seller (Khov team) and the buyer. The overall experience with the sales and mortgage teams was incredible. They were knowledgeable, professional, and responsive, which bolstered our confidence in purchasing a home during a pandemic. Based on our experience, we recommend the involvement and synergy of leadership across all aspects (sales, mortgage, and construction) of home buying be consistent to ensure the same level of quality from a well-known builder with an excellent reputation. ... While I love my new home, I found communication with the company to be difficult and lacking in the final month of the process.

Most of the process was smooth, and they have been responsive regarding the issues found, to a point. I am disappointed in the 10 day warranty they have. There have been several issues found after being in the home for 10 days like poor workmanship on the tile, a chip in the quartz countertop, marks on the tub, etc. When you move into a new home, there are many things going on, and you tend to miss stuff until things settle down. But after 10 days they don't allow you to report certain issues.

Good experience overall, but somewhat major items were missed such as 2 ceiling fan rough-ins. Getting issues resolved after move in is slow.

The house is a great house. There are a few minor things that need to be looked at after a month in. The women in sales were great to work with. Financing was a nightmare. We had everything lined up with another financial group but got talked into using Khov for financing. That was a huge mistake. And to top it off they sold our loan to another company in the first two weeks.

Even though we did not move to the new home: *our sink has RUST on it and its has to be fixed or changed. They said it will be fixed. I wanted to be documented that if after being fixed the sink still started rusting, IT HAS TO BE CHANGED. *as a result of rain, our basement got wet and had some water. it is very very bad to move to a house which damaged by rain water. *The sump pump was not draining. This problem has been fixed. *The air filter for air condition system was so bad and it was black even though no one used it yet. They put the used and damage one in there!!. We love our house, but we are noticing a lot of little things, now that we are living here, that we missed on our walkthroughs. It seems to me a stricter check or verification of work after the house is finished should be in order. Nothing major, just little things you wouldn’t expect to find. Paint thinly applied on walls and cabinets, master bathroom toilet seat was up on both our walkthroughs, but when down reveals chips on the top of the lid, loose screws on kitchen cabinets, guest toilet running constantly, etc. etc. Overall, we are happy. Love the floor plan, and the house.

Process was quick and easy. Craftsmanship was a bit lacking, just messy in some respect. LOVE the area.

Responsiveness to issues is hit or miss. Sometimes its immediate, and sometimes I have to track down and pester people to get the problems addressed.

1.Not great when It comes to quality and workmanship 2.No value for the price paid. 3.Good team and company but not a great construction and quality.

My experience has been mixed. During the home buying process we were working with Paul. When we decided to put an offer on our house. He wrote up the purchase agreement and said we would get 10,000 in incentives which includes a buy out of our current lease and two fans in our home. The next day he calls and says I can no longer offer what I promised. I can only offer $7,000 and only one fan. But don’t worry I’ll buy the other fan with my own money. Then it became you have to fill out a survey once you buy the house and give us a high rating then you will get your second fan. When my realtor called him one time with a question. He told her I just came back from vacation I don’t have time to deal with this right now. Josue the builder also made a lot of promises he didn’t keep. One being to lower the shelf in my laundry room because it’s too high. The toilet paper holder in the master bedroom was never put on the wall correctly. I called him to fix it. He came out looked at it and said you are correct but I forgot my tools and I’ll come back tomorrow to fix it. Never saw him again. I love my home but as I am living in it I can tell it was a rushed job to get it done in time for closing. ... More

Overall everything has been okay, the sales process was pretty great and we were informed about everything along the way. My main concern is that we had a walkthrough and while we noticed a lot of cosmetic things to be addressed, after signing off, there were a lot of things that were missed because you would need to be living in the home. One thing that bothers me is that the day after we moved in, I noticed that a vehicle (most likely a workers backing into our driveway as a turn around) hit our garage door and dented the bottom of it. The builder said that since we signed off they wouldn't fix it. Also I noticed a lot of scratches on windows in the home that you wouldn't notice unless you were right up against it and the light shining just right. I was told that those too would not be fixed. Also noticed that the lights in the master bathroom are not evenly placed above the vanities so they are all at different heights. I just think the quality of the workmanship could of been better and the builder should of offered to at least fix the windows and garage. ... More

Buying experience was pleasant enough, but it's the quality of the materials and the workmanship that was a disappointment. It almost feels like the company purchased the lowest quality materials they could get in hopes that the buyer won't notice. From swapping out non Moen branded parts to appliances with small defects like scratches here and there to bathroom tiles scratches. So that brings you to wonder if it was the contractors installing that were not careful or did the products come already with defects? Buyers take your time when you do ALL YOUR WALKTHROUGHS.

Its a great experience buying a new house and the first day we signed the contract was norhing short. The closing was smooth with most of the issues taken care of before and some after. There are still some issues and quirks that we are realizing and I am sure it would be taken care but wish the builders were thoughtful in the design and quality of construction. The construction area was always dirty and we are seeing aideeffects of yhe same 4 mobths after closing with windows stained and drawers not sliding. These are minor though but could have been taken care of. The builders mortgage company ensured that they took back every dime that was allocated for a closing costs, very sly and cunning trick. But then everybody is trying to get every dime out of the customers pocket. All in all. I am happy with this place we call home. ... More

The process was good. Just be sure to express your concerns and follow through with them. We’re thankful for an amazing realtor and great sales team that helped pull the weight of the construction team.

Overall was a good experience. At our unit the the builder did not get high quality materials. All the doors are unpainted ,also some walls find unpainted.
