There was no update through out the construction and emails were hardly answered. Home was not delivered after the closing documents are signed and the account has been funded. There was no respect for Buyers.

All my concerns and questions were addressed and everything was completed on time.

Listened to what I was looking for.

Reggie, Kem and the lady in the office are wonderful. They are always available for their customers. I love it

David and Anthony represented the company extremely well. They both made the entire process for my wife and I exceptionally easy as first time home buyers. Their immediate responsiveness to any/all of our questions was fantastic. Also, very impressed with their knowledge and competency! We’ve already recommended buying in this neighborhood to two of our friends.

Customer service is terrible. They give you a date, they finish early. They give unrealistic closing date when the appraisals aren't complete then charge you by the day that you don't close. Very unhappy

I have some bad experience like; 1. Squeak sound in the master bedroom floor. I brought the builders attention to this, i was told they cannot fix it at this time. This was quite upsetting.

From start to finish the process of building our home with Khov has been fantastic. Working with Amy to start the process was great, she would always return any phone calls, and would answer any of questions that we would have. Kevin did a great job handling our mortgage, once again always would return emails/phone calla right away. He made the stressful part very enjoyable Greg Dave and Steve have been taking care of my home as if it was one of their own. Anytime i need anything the response rate is within a hour! Workmanship on all interior areas is exceedingly poor (fit & finish, molding for both floor & door trim, painting, lighting, cabinetry). All construction work felt rushed with inexperienced or incompetent trades in all areas. After this experience, would not recommend K Hovnanian for new home construction in any manner.

Overall was a good experience building first home.

Once you sign on the dotted line, you will receive the runaround. Beware.

We had an amazing experience with K. Hovnanian Homes, especially with the Construction Managers in particular. They were great to work with and very responsive. We really appreciate the weekly updates that included a detailed message as well as photos. The walk throughs during each stage of the process were very informative and the Construction Managers answered all of our questions. The quality and workmanship of the house is amazing! I would definitely recommend K. Hovnanian Homes to anyone looking for great home designs as well as a great experience!

Buying and building our home was awesome. James and Nia in the sales office did all they could to accommodate us and assist with the process. Once we did our last walk, some promises were made and, after we closed, they were never done. Our garage has a “crack” were the door and the wood connects. They promised to fix but after closing it became a “we don’t do that”. The house by our side was still being built when we closed and again it was promised that our lawn would be fixed and yard cleaned. Just a promise, never done. All very good and positive.

Staff was great from the beginning. From the sales lady Kris, to Jodi in the design studio and Scott the construction manager. The quality of the materials and features stand out from other companies (yes we compared). Everything moved smoothly even in the middle of a pandemic. A few appliances were in back order but it’s understandable during Covid. Financing was organized and they were good at getting back to you in a timely manner if you had questions. Over all we had a great experience buying a home for the first time with Khov.

Mortgage process was the easiest!

Allison and Scott were great. Your sales manager and lending team need improvement. They wouldn't even give me my closing costs. Their lender wouldn't match our rate. My payment was $200 more expensive. The bigger builders wouldn't do this. I have a real estate office and team. This makes me never want to do business with K Hov again. I was saving 72k using my lender. They were very rude about it also. Then they were trying to make it as hard as possible for my lender. We didn't have much time to close. Then they were trying to charge me daily if we closed late. I've bought and sold hundreds of new builds. Never seen anything like it. Your lucky to have Scott and Allison. Just to clean up these other things if you want to stop being a small time builder. ... More
