Company rushed closing date to 9/20/22 was originally told it would be end of month. Final inspection garage foundation was not level, contractor poured additional concrete which did not match nor level garage prior to closing was told epoxy would be poured to complete correct the issue with the garage. That was promised 9/16, as of today still not complete. Dishwasher also not working as of 9/16/22, currently still not level and shifts to the left after every complete cycle. Pull out trash can day one jumped off track, was supposedly corrected, still does not open and close smoothly. Front and side door entry to the garage must be slammed to shut. We love our new home, however these issues definitely negatively impact and take away from what should be a wonderful experience. ... More

This is my 6th home. I have to say Richmond home builders gave me more value for the money. little things like larger entry doors, lights over every shower, trim around every window, blinds included with the purchase. more flexibility with requests. Everyone I worked with was professional and did the function they were assigned. I will say that Karie in the mortgage section spent some quality time with me and i appreciate her for that. The reason my overall rating is not top notch is all but one of the issues that were on the punch list from closing are still not completed. I have spend 6 weeks waiting for the contractors to show up. Schedules and been made for the last 5 weeks and every week no one has showed up. I have spoken with the Warranty section every week with the understanding that i would be contacted back. That did not happen. The last call I made the warranty section gave me the direct numbers so I could the contractors myself. I did spoke with them and was told again that i would be hearing back. Again nothing. Spoke with Carmel she stated that she was going to get in touch with Mike. from warranty . So I am waiting to hear back.. Again. ... More

Loved the ability to customize aspects of the home , unlike other builders. They stuck to the timeline for closing. Being a first time home buyer, it was a whole new world but the sales staff helped all the way through keeping us informed and answering our questions. Some work could have been more intentional & cleaner on the house itself but overall the experience was great

Our experience with the Sales Rep Brian and the Mortgage Account Manager Shannon was awesome! They worked hard to make sure everything and made every effort to ensure our lending process ran smoothly. As for the quality of work on the home, it appears that the home was built in a rush to complete the closing process. There were misaligned doors, paint issues, flooring issues and even cabinet issues. I was disappointed with some of the sloppiness we saw after we started moving in. Then to get the contractors in to fix the issues is ridiculous. I would have rather waited a little longer so they could get the job done better than to have to deal with the headache of waiting for things to be fixed after the fact. ... More

Could have provided more details for upgrade options , improve quality of build and handle additional care for work done by of suppliers

Sales was awesome, the communication from the builder was great the entire time. There were more items needing fixed or finished than I would have liked come closing day. A few of them still not complete a month after closing. I enjoyed working with all of their people during the process, I'd just be much more inclined to rate higher if the last few repairs would be complete at a much faster pace.

Initially didn't get the response I needed, but overall they did good!

I found many small issues after closing (outlet not working, rusting railing, imcomplete caulking, broken remote...etc). The builder has been very responsive to fixing issues. To that I'm very happy and apprecaite. The overall built quality can be better for the price paid though.

Home is lovely ; although a little tight on closets and the garage is way too small

The overall experience was good. I did not like the one-sided contracts that say f the buyer and protect the builder. There was a lack of communication from the front office especially after I did my part to make sure that everything was ready for closing. We closed late and no communication was sent before the day of the original closing. I enjoyed working with Sammie because he was the only person who was honest about the whole process and was helpful even after I moved into the home. Very nice and genuine guy for sure. I love the community and have not experienced major issues.

The team overall was very helpful throughout the home buying process. Brandon Rolko was very upfront & down to earth while advising us and Bob & Kayla did a stellar job communicating throughout the build process and addressing concerns. There were some minor issues such as door framing that did not get fully resolved but overall we were very happy. Wish we would have known more about options communicated upfront, but we came in with an initially lower budget than we settled on. It was not clear to us that we had design room visit ability which would have been nice. The home build was much faster than expected and we had a good experience getting graded. We were lucky to settle on a home of our price in the current market, but did find it a bit expensive. Great team overall, could have used a bit more cross communication but was glad to be involved in the process with them all! ... More

We enjoyed most of our experience with KHOV. There were some cons prior, in between, and after the build, but we’re glad they give that one year insurance.

I was never told gutters were an upgrade, that is ridiculous the builder was to cheap to put on gutters! In my 60 years I have never seen a house without gutters. I do not see anything in my paperwork about gutters the builder should have put them on!

QThe 3 men I worked with were responsive, very nice, and good at their jobs!

I first want to say that our sales person Melissa is absolutely amazing and an asset to your company. When we had trouble reaching our construction managers, she was able to get them to respond. Up until the point that we got our keys, it was an amazing work relationship. Once we received the keys, things did not go so smooth. The communication was not very good. When we had problems, Melissa would be our go to, but it shouldn't be that way. Of the construction managers, Jeremy was the best with communication. All I need is a text, email, or phone call that says they are working on this or that. Don't get me wrong, we are very happy with the house. We have found ourselves doing a lot of work outside at the end we didn't expect. Yes, we have the keys, we own our home, but due to the poor communication we have more to do. It would be my suggestion that people not accept the house until all work is completed. Again, overall, we are happy with the construction of our house! It is well built. I went nearly every day to watch the progress. They appear to have followed the code and did a good job with construction. Melissa is an amazing person and we are happy we were able to work with her. We're very happy with our home however there are some issues that shouldn't exist in a brand new house... some of the painting was never finished. the garage it was rough patched and never finished it should be finish patched and atleast ready for paint. They told us 2 weeks ago the front porch would be finish and were still waiting on that. The final grade isn't done and we have standing water on the back and sides of our foundation. All of these issues should have been addressed immediately for the amount of money spent on a new construction home. When we Raise concern over the issues it is as if it is no big deal but it is a big deal and we are beginning to be come frustrated hope someone takes care of these things immediately ... More

The overall process of building a home with Khov in Delaware was a overall smooth process. Where they fall short is their lack of flexibility with structural changes and design options. For the prices charged design options were very minimal. They didn't allow change orders. They didn't offer things like a walk-in pantry, free standing tub, bedroom and closet sizes are small, framing and insulation materials are outdated, blocking between wall studs barely used and cost of structural options were extremely inflated. Their sales people are friendly and approachable.

Our home is beautiful. I wish we could have picked some of the items in our home, but overall it's very nice. The sales person lacked significantly in communication, and the guy we walked through our new home with made a bunch of promises to fix things that haven't been fixed yet. He hasn't provided a date for when these items will be fixed yet. We did submit the issues through the email provided. Everyone seems nice, no one seems to have authority or follow through. The community is beautiful overall, and we're thankful to have our home.

The drywall finishing inside the house looks good…but on the garage it is the worst I have ever seen. It would be better to not do anything, like for me that I choose finish the garage would be way better.

We really do love the end result! We are thankful and excited about how beautiful it turned out, especially as this is our first home! We would like other newbies to know that they may miss out by just simply not knowing. We felt like we were not informed well enough on particulars about the house that we simply did not know were options. For instance, we were advised heavily on things like hose bib and outside outlet placement and decor upgrades however, we did not hear a thing about gutters and didn’t know to ask about it! Overall extremely positive experience from working with Adriana, the design center, and weekly updates from John our GC. Our biggest issue is follow up regarding punch list items. Several items continue to be outstanding after 45 days post close with no guidance on when they'll be completed. Our house was also left a mess after the last set of subcontractors came thru to address some of the punch list items

Loan process was very good. First time I’ve seen flat paint in kitchen and bathrooms, usually semi-gloss. Just a few towel racks.

The overall sales experience was very good and your team did an outstanding job answering any questions and helped solve any issues with the exception of repairs. I have two minor repairs that were reported in the beginning of April and am still waiting for the repair to happen. That is unacceptable.

I love the neighborhood of the home and the customer service was great. Thewas completed as scheduled for closing
