Good learning experience for a first time home buyer!

Great team with this builder, had a great experience from start to finish, considering Covid 19 they did an exceptional job.

My experience with K. Hovnanian homes was great. From beginning to end I had no issues. My construction manager Brad was on top of things from start to finish.

We had an excellent experience buying our home from K. Hovnanian. The Reps were extremely helpful and attentive to every detail. The construction team sent us text updates with pictures through out the building process that we found very helpful and informative. We love our new home.

A lot of features of the home are very good. The sales person, design consultant and superintendent were very personable and helpful. The home and materials were good but some of the workmanship is poor.

Quality of Workmanship & Material. The build quality is extremely poor. K Hov uses the lowest bid subcontractors and it shows. Every aspect of our house from the driveway to the fireplace to our roof to our septic was built wrong the first time, if not the second time. Also, K Hov will do everything it can to hide issues and hope you don’t find them during the final walkthrough. Trustworthiness. Everything our broker and construction manager told us was a half-truth. Basically, they tell you want you want to hear as opposed to what is accurate. Value for the Price Paid. I think our home price was fair but we live in a Washington D.C. suburb where everything is overpriced. Responsiveness to Issues. They do respond to your issues, but everything is a fight. They do not freely address issues. I have been in our house for two months and have actual documentation of things done wrong and they are still trying to not fix them. I have to be honest, sometimes the response time took too long if I called someone instead of sending an email. I indicated a few issues when I did my walk through, which are just getting repaired supposedly this Friday, November 13th. My home closed on September 28th. What I have been told is it was the vendors who claimed they were not getting the supplies due to CIVID-19. This very well may be true, but it’s still very frustrating.

My experience was fascinating

The builder is very meticulous in ensuring that residents are safe and secure in their new home. The builder took extra time to meet the tastes of the residents. The builder added modern features to accommodate the needs and tastes of the residents. The building is equipped with latest modern technology.

Hime buying process was long but worth it . My home is beautiful and I love everything about it .

Fantastic experience with K. Hovnanian homes! The pre and post sale experience was fantastic with great support from the entire team. Dave and Vince have been very responsive to a couple of furnace related glitches and minor new home corrections. I absolutely enjoy working with the K. Hovnanian team and would recommend them to any interested home buyer!

The Staff was awesome! Tara B and Dave W made this an easy fun experience and I would recommend this staff to everyone.

Overall I would say my experience with Hovnanian was horrible! The sales portion was positive but the workmen-ship was awful! I've had to have the workmen come back several times to correct tile issues, painting issues and overall repairs to my "new" house. Very disappointing experience!

Although the homes layout and aesthetics are absolutely beautiful the quality of the homes construction is subpar. What ever you are promised from the selling agent and design center agent will be false unless its in writing. And even then it needs to be extremely specific in writing. And even then the builder has clauses in place to counter anything you may want to claim was in the agreement. I can literally write a book of things that went wrong from the buying process to moving in. One positive note: the builder has a warranty on the home. This warranty dose work well. Unfortunately I’ve had to to use this service several times and counting. The workers who work for the builders warranty do an excellent job of fixing what ever is wrong. We fell in love with the homes, they are beautiful. Our sales office was amazing. Jennifer is amazing! The process working with the lender was horrible. He didn't communicate well, they made several mistakes and we didn't trust them. The home closed on the projected date (yay), which was great. We've been in the home for 1 month and we just discovered this weekend that our HVAC was never connected to the gas line. Which makes me worry...how did it pass inspection? What else could be wrong?

I am a first time homebuyer and the K. Hov team made this experience awesome for me. They were patient, kind, and took the time to to answer my questions and address any concerns I had. I felt like I was take care of as if I was one of their family. The structure is great, the home is beautiful, and my home was completed ahead of schedule. I am very grateful for the first-time home buying experience.

Carl was very informative and always available when I had questions. If there was something that was not right he made sure to correct it as soon as possible. Very easy to talk to.

Everything is good, I’m happy with this house and builders team are awesome who were involved to help me to get it.

I recommend K. Hovnanian Homes for the following reasons: (1) The employees are very professional, approachable and knowledgeable. And (2) they communicated with me on a regular basis and addressed all my questions and concerns. Specifically, the Sales Consultant, Becky, was always pleasant, very helpful and well versed in policies and procedures. The employees from sales to the people building our home were the best in patience, responsive, and always very helpful.

The only issues I have are small. The laminate flooring scratches VERY easily, the pre-installed LED lights are terribly bright, and the back porch seems like it could have been made 18-20 inches wider without any issues (I have the sunroom bump-out option). Besides those I don't really have any complaints. Deb and Joe are professional and easy to get along with.

Everything was great. The closing process was exceptional.

Excellent craftsmanship builder takes pride in build and making sure everything is perfect. No corners cut. Definitely recommend to family and friends.
