Communication during the process from the construction manager could have been a lot better.

Until you actually live in a home for a while, you don’t notice all of the issues that escape you on your initial visit. Walls were not properly prepped prior to painting. I use blue tape so as not to put marks on the wall itself. When tape is removed the paint comes with it. Painters were sloppy while around trim work (paint on floor). Front door casing not level which allows light and air in. Cheap vinyl flooring. Cracks in ceiling where tape is coming loose. Little things like this annoy me because it appears there is no pride in what is produced and supervised.

The house is nice but has many issues that still need to be addressed. Some issues are minor and cosmetic, while others need immediate attention. The most significant problem stems from the electrical switches. Many don't work. While we understand that the middle switches are designed for ceiling fans that are not yet installed, there are others that just don't work at all.

Issues have been fixed as they have arisen. One issue however is the lawn. Clearly sod from 2 different areas was used. The sides of our house have grass. The front and back have no grass and are simply weeds. When we called on this they told us it is because of the season and it is our responsibility to maintain the lawn. Well, that's all fine if there was lawn to maintain. It honestly would be easier to just have dirt and seed the whole area than it is to try to kill the hundreds of weeds and then have to seed the whole area again. I look at our neighbors who all have nice lawns and ours is horrible. It also doesn't make sense because the area that was grass is grass and looks great. So now I'm to spend hundreds of dollars to fix this eyesore? ... More

Sub par communication, had to take the initiative when asking for updates during the building process

Started off rough but issues were addressed at the end.

They are more helpful earlier in the process. Get a realtor!

The builder was untimely in delivering the home however it is unclear as to the impact of Covid and workers.

Home was poorly finished. Broken and missing items incorrect tile installed. Very disappointed

Overall I understand that this was an abnormal situation when you build a home during a pandemic- I get it. However, the follow up of our questions was poor throughout the process from our project manager. Even after closing, we rarely get a response when we reach out to anyone from the construction team regarding outstanding issues. Happy with the home so far, but the process could have been better.

The sales person and buying experience was very good. However, the building process was not as good. Building and finish of the house was delayed by 6 months. Construction managers were leaving frequently. Seems like they could not keep up with sales. Lots of last minute scrambling before settlement, cancelled settlement at the last minute and now post settlement very slow to address punch list items.

The sales process was rushed with many material information provided seemingly on an ad-hoc basis instead of thoroughly explained at the outset. Materials used for the construction feel cheap, especially the upgraded kitchen that comes at a material premium, and the stairs and the bathrooms, which are visibly deteriorating only a few weeks after moving-in. The main issue for us is the quality of the finishes. Despite the best effort of the builder's team, it remains below par. Responsiveness to issue, honesty and willingness to assist from the builder's team has been outstanding. Good with progress updates but disappointed with some features and accessories of the house

There's been things I've been finding around the house that I didn't catch in the walk through. The foundation feels uneven in parts of the house, and the vinyl planks are popping up. Also, I can see the joints on several parts of the walls throughout the house. It seems like they didn't use any dry wall tape. I don't know, I'm a bit upset because I waited all this time for the house to be built, and the quality is disappointing

Great home buying experience. However, the sell you on the HOA taking care of everything on the outside including your lawn, bushes, trees and sprinkler system. The lawn, bushes and trees in this neighborhood have been severely neglected to the point where my neighbor has a beach instead of a lawn. My bushes haven’t been cut since I moved in and I have a tree that’s dying because the wind caused it to lean and the rootball is exposed. My neighbors and I have brought these things to the attention of both the management company and the builder. The new landscape service (because the old one was so bad) still just Moe’s the lawn while my tree dies, my bushes grow, and my neighbor searches for the ocean that must be near his beachfront property. ... Unfortunately delays of at least two months due to Covid 19 . The reasoning for all things that did not go as planned . Heba did her job on the sales end however the staff after that were less in performance .

Sales experience with Ron was great. Closing experience with Robert was great. However service has been a little disappointing. 1. Still no paint kit, despite several requests. Was told flat paint, its actually dead flat paint, several trips to home depot and paint purchases and time wasted we had to buy the paint for small areas and the trial and error was not a good experience having to repaint whiskers. 2. Was told because paint kits were scarce they would paint small spots. Opened a ticket someone came out, nice guy. I was asked to sign a screen and told someone would be out to paint my door and deliver a kit. Thats was 2 weeks ago. Had to open another ticket. 3. Opened a ticket regarding debris in lawn causing dead spots of grass. Rebar, wood chunks, metal, makes walking barefoot in grass dangerous. Should not be like this. 4. Common areas. Careless construction drivers driving over curbs ruining grass, concrete.. area is not zoned for 18 wheelers.. construction folks needs to downsize delivery vehicles. 5. Amenities are pretty bad. New homes being built next to park with yellow tape (1 month now). Front sign is broken and the piece broken is sitting on floor since the freeze. Gym is dated, old and needs to remake to match new homes being built. Its like having an old car with rust with new interior. Pressure washed basketball court, no hoops? Jobs are done half way and not complete

Buying a Khovanian home was a fun experience. Sales team was very helpful. When walk through a were scheduled they were during working hours, I do think a different time frame would be better. The home is beautiful in itself given that it’s new but as we live in it longer we do see defects that we have brought to the superintendent attention. I do understand that there is a delay and shortages due to Covid, but if things are done right the first time there is no need to go back and fix anything. Overall my experience was ok, there was a confusion on delivering my keys. Construction manager was holding on to them when we were standing outside our home. I didn’t expect it to be magical but I also didn’t expect to have to wait an hour for the construction manager to decide when he wanted to give me my keys. ... More

We love our new home; however communication could have been better and felt our concerns were brushed off. Paint on walls and wood trim SHOULD have been done better.

So, they have nice homes. They are better it seems than most national builders. The mortgage process through the builder was a headache of needing just one more thing and a lack of communication. When notified of issues with the home the actual builder supervisor was fairly quick to respond to small requests. Larger ones have yet to be addressed. The building crews leaves trash everywhere in the neighborhood and seems indifferent about cleaning up after themselves. I had higher hopes as they portrayed themselves differently. We love our home. Its ours. But we make it what it is.
