Beautiful new home...but then they do a SLOPPY job on the garage..particularly the steps leading into the house. It looks like they just slapped something together. So too with the guys laying the sod --not very prideful of their work. We had issues with he MBR shower and the wall in our bedroom, part of which needs to be ripped out because of buckled seams. But all in all, we are very satisfied, The construction supervisor has been particularly helpful and very responsive. Excellent customer relations skills! So is the KHov customer service rep who is helping us address the two major issues mentioned above. There are sure to be problems with any new build. Danielle was awesome. She was there will us the whole way. Anytime we had questions she was there to answer them and if she did not know the answer she made sure to find out and let us know. We would highly recommend KHov homes to anyone looking to buy or build a new home.

This has by far been the worst home buying experience I’ve had to deal with. We are second time home buyers and I would say buying a fixer upper was a better experience then buying a new “move in ready” home. The lack of communication within such a well known company is disappointing. On multiple occasions we had appointments made and canceled with out our knowledge. My husband and I who both work Active Duty, Took days off only to show up to our appointments being canceled. When we asked to speak to a manager we were promised we would get a call and never did. Only to have this happen a second time. The second time being worse because it was a title appointment. Again asking to speak to someone we were promised we would be contacted. No one has reached out to us in over a month. Still moving forward in getting into our home hoping things would get better. We were greeted into our new home with fixes still not being completed and our BRAND NEW AC going out two days into being in our home in the middle of a heat wave. This caused our family to have to be out of the home for about a week until someone was able to come out. Purchasing a home you can’t even occupy to say the least was very heart breaking. I being pregnant and having a toddler could only go home at the end of the night when an 80 degree home was some what bearable. Multiple technicians were sent out causing me to take more time off work. The issue was fixed about a month later. I am mind blown at how a well known Home building company can have their clients in limbo for so long. Making sure to let us know if closing doesn’t go as planned we would be charged. Not once having some kind of management reach out and apologize for all of the inconvenience we had to go through. I would love to recommend this community to family and friends but based on the home buying experience we had I just can’t bring myself to knowingly put someone I care about through that. I am a firm believer in fixing the problem and moving forward. This company has not made an effort to fix the problem. I hope that none of my future neighbors have to endure any of these circumstances that my family did. ... More

A/C units are too small for the home size

The customer care and quality of service of the sales person and the construction management were exceptional. The on-site management demonstrated by the construction manager and his assistant made the difference in my opinion of KHov. I would give them a 10 out of 10. Thank you Rafael and Dave.

Please do not trust the salesman and the sales management, the are Very and truthful people.

Building a brand new, custom home with K. Hovnanian Homes was one of the most intelligent investments we have made for our family. A lot of work went into the build, but the sales associate and the Builder were with our family every step of the way. I could not have asked for a better experience!

This was the easiest and smoothest new home purchase we have ever had. From the beginning to the end, all personnel were responsive and helpful and went the extra mile to take care of any questions or concerns we had. Highly recommend K. Hovnanian Homes for anyone looking to purchase a new home.

Even though we bought from out of state and during COVID-19, it all went smoothly, We trusted KHovnanian and all its staff and we were not disappointed.

As first time home buyers this was an amazing experience from start to finish. We always felt comfortable and informed through it. Everyone was great we really enjoyed the weekly updates from the team with pictures and updates.

Many of the frustrations from our home purchase came from the financing of the home itself. We were voiced that we would be saving 7k off the price of our home by going through their mortgage lender, and ultimately it was a disastrous experience. I understand wholeheartedly that when selling a home and buying another, there will be many more stressors involved than our first home purchase where our main concern was just purchasing the home. However, the amount of additional (and ridiculous) documents needed, the fact that the home appraised for 15k less than the settled upon price (realistically it was 22k less as we "saved" 7k by using their lender), and the sense of lack to transparency was the most frustrating. Initially the gentleman that sold us our home had voiced we could speak to negotiating the price as well as small features to be included such as blinds and a gas range for the home. Once we decided to negotiate (and they knew we were interested) that changed very quickly to an all or nothing mentality. Ultimately we decided to go through with the purchase price with small features being added in (mainly just blinds). One the appraisal had come through and we were 15k under the asking price, a VP conferenced into the phone and was the epitome of a shady salesman. From the sale of our previous home, we were wanting to put 20% down to avoid PMI, however when the home doesn't appraise the bank won't loan you the full amount so our 20 percent turned into 17%. The gentleman voiced nothing would change to our down payment or our monthly payment so it would be a wash and they would pick up the PMI payment on our behalf as it was "important for the first model to sell high". That is an exact quote. What they failed to mention was that while our monthly and down payment wouldn't change, that 15k was going straight into their pocket and while I knew this is what was happening I wanted to see if he would come out and voice it to us, or if he would hope we didn't have the understanding to see what was going on. Because we did we were going to walk on the property and days later the builder's rep did call us to apologize for the interaction and stated they would meet us halfway. Considering the sales of our home would cause more stress, we decided to go through with it. The mortgage company asked for document after document that we never would have needed through our old lender, and the most frustrating part was having 5 people reaching out to us for documents and then asking the account manager questions about the docs, and them not having any idea who or why they were asking. Lastly, upon the closing documents of our home were to be signed, we signed them based on the agreement we made with the re-negotiated price point and once we went to pick up keys for our home, that closing costs were changed again so we were asked to sign documents once again prior to receiving keys. This led to another few phone calls for that to be resolved. Please remember for the folks reading this review and considering to purchase a new built home, most closing costs go right into the builders pocket (that's why they can waive so much up front) and they are the HOA. This The home itself is really nice and the only issue I have with the quality of work is the paint being so cheaply done. I have purchased several homes in Arizona previously but never before have I seen the great responsiveness, quality and workmanship that has gone into my new K. Hovnanian home. During the building of the home I was made aware of the building status on a weekly basis by the salesperson and the Construction Manager. The Construction Manager, Matt, was there answering my questions during all phases of construction. He listened and came through on everything I requested and any changes I wanted made. KHov pays attention to details so the final product is outstanding. The customer service is prompt and thorough. This is my second KHove home and I've been happy with both.

Easy and understanding

The home turned out beautiful, and everyone from KHov was exceptional with any questions you had, and any concerns you had were addressed immediately. Both of my construction personnel made sure that i had everything i needed to know what to do when the building process was over

Overall great experience while going thru a global pandemic! It wasn't perfect but most things aren't but we absolutely love our home and the cost is outstanding. This was our first new construction build and we definitely would do it again.

K. Hov did a great job on our new home. Sale, Lending, and Architecture were an A++.

Quality of the home is great.

I am happy so far with my new home. Sales (Danielle) and construction crew (Kyle) were awesome. Vinny was great after the sale as well. Quality construction and value for money. The only shortcoming would be that I think KHOV should have made tiling standard in the living areas instead of carpet. Having tile in the living areas ended up being a sizeable upgrade. Or at least offer a credit if not installing the standard carpet and instead opting for another type of flooring.
