K. Hovnanian® Homes Reviews

Im happy with my purchase

I'm not even sure where to start. Our experience buying a K. Hovanian was nothing short or spectacular. From an always smiling sales agent willing to help us any time of day or evening, going through options to help tailor our chosen plan to best fit our needs, to our prompt construction manager replying to questions and concerns. Anything not exactly to our liking was quickly remedied. Our home inspector was also quite impressed with how well built the home was. We've been in the home for a little over a month, with absolutely zero issues. We couldn't be happier that we chose K. Hovanian as our builder! ... More

We love our new home!

Great team from sales to construction team and its management.

The experience was positive for the most part , sales person was great and loan officer was great to work with, it was stressful at the end with closing and title company. Closing was also not very efficient . definitely these are the 2 areas needing improvement hence 4 stars...I would give it 5 if it was not so stressful and having to work with very un organize parties

K. How really does give you the ability to purchase a quality home for a great price! I am very satisfied with my new home and thankful for the sales team specifically Nikki S. for assisting me throughout this process. Thanks K. How for making me a satisfied buyer.

The General Manager Christian was there to help us through ever flaw that we may have found in the house. He is definitely an asset to this company!

Great experience helpful friendly staff

From the first day I looked at this community, Jack gave me all the information that I needed about the houses that were being built as well as the community. My project manager Ethan, did a great job with the construction on my new home. Ethan also gave me my walk though and I was pleased on his presentation. Overall I was satisfied with the presentation that Jack made and Ethan construction of my home. Outstanding Job!!!

At first, I was apprehensive about buying from a builder. They seemed to hold all the cards. The initial sales pitch felt a bit like being at a car dealership, but once we progressed past that, and I started dealing with more of their team, I was very pleased at how thorough and organized they were, especially the loan officers and the person overseeing construction. I can't say enough about how Aaron made me feel like I could instantly trust him. He takes such pride in his work and craftsmanship, and he offered to follow up and help as I got moved in and maybe noticed some things. He was true to his word. When else do you get someone checking in on you after a sale like that? I'm very happy with my decision to purchase from K. Hov, and highly recommend trusting them in this process, if you're looking to buy as well. ... More

The staff for Khovnanian have been extremely helpful and dedicated. The realty and construction staff have been easy to work with and extremely punctual.

Great job, very happy with the home

Sales agent was easy to work with. We bought a quick move-in, so not much we could change as far as options go. Everything was, as we would have chosen though; so it was a good fit. We caught the latter half of the build so we caught the flooring and cabinetry going in. The escrow process went smoothly and they stayed in close contact with us every step of the way. The home is constructed well...there of course was blue-tape all over the place during our walkthrough, but they fixed it all relatively quickly. I can't find too much to complain about after all the touch-ups. Move-in was a breeze. Design-wise, our couch couldn't go up the staircase, but made it through the living room window thanks to our professional movers. I would say the home is constructed well. Environmentally, it's 100 degrees outside and the AC set at 76-78 doesn't turn on as frequently as I thought. Perhaps with more furniture in later, that'll change. The garage is laid out with this huge beam in the middle so TopRaxx was a bit hard to layout, but we got it to work. No other major issues at the week 1 point. ... More

My wife and I were pleased with the house they built and outstanding customer service they provided throughout the process. The team was fantastic! They were very knowledgeable and determined to help us in any way they could. They worked above and beyond to ensure we had a quality home we were happy with. We would highly recommend K. Hovnanian for building new homes.

enjoy everyday living in the new home. High quality community with kind stuff.

This is the first townhome My family and I have been in that feels more like you’re in a single family home. My family and I love our home. The space of our home is huge! Great for when we start to have family gatherings.

Great experience

Everyone was great only one thing that's very awful is the super attendance he is very rude to females when their husband isn't there at the home when looking and asking questions about the home bought our home has a broken lock on the downstairs window notified the super attendance Juan to fix it he said he'll come out in a week not to fix it but to drop off the lock at the door and its been almost 2 months and still no sign from Juan nor the lock smh.

Excelente job , and nice care whit the costumers

We have already had 4 issues with our ac unit , that STILL ISNT SOLVED and one problem with the plumbing. I understand some work is builders grade like paint, but for over $355K, I expected more from these basic systems.

Great service! Thanks Rick! You all were amazing!

THE PROS KHov takes pride in their work and everyone that we've come into contact with at this company has been genuinely very nice people, and that has been the highlight of our experience. The onsite construction manager, Robert, has especially been quite amazing in helping us to handle minor issues that have come up. Every time I see him, he asks me how everything is going with the house and if I mention anything, he's quick to take a look and help where he can. The few times we needed to call in minor issues, it was taken care of very quickly and oddly (yes, it's very rare) all the workers were very nice people who cared. We're genuinely shocked by that, especially being here in Florida where most are very rude and often don't care. The oven is decent as well as the Microwave. Windows seem to be very nice and decent quality. Floors and carpet are done well and look very nice. All closet doors are real doors with door handles, which is a very nice feature of the home. It has 1" granite counters that look very nice in the kitchen. Garage door and opener are decent quality as well as the water irrigation system. Hurricane shutters came with the home and are in good order. Kitchen cabinets seem to be made with mid-grade to low quality materials, but we’re putting it in the pro category because they look superb and good quality hardware is used, like the long stainless steel handles and slow-close hinges. There was much kitchen cabinet space. The architecture is great, using the space well, creating closets and laundry room in logical locations and owners' closet is spacious. The landscaping, though simple, was very nice and 2 oak trees were planted in the back yard. THE CONS We wish the appliances were a little better, the Fridge was way too small and the dishwasher is so basic that it doesn't really clean the dishes. The faucets and shower heads are very basic, but work fine. House trim is basic. The paint seems to be very cheap; it looks good, but it damages or comes off easily. OVERALL EXPERIENCE Although there is a mix of good quality vs. low quality materials/appliances, we are overall very satisfied with the home and especially with the service. Robert has especially been extremely helpful, not only in helping us get issues taken care of, but he has even spent some time educating us about certain things of the house. He is the main reason we have been recommending KHOV to our friends and family and will continue to do so. I hope Khov is taking care of him, treating him as an essential part of their operation and recognizing how greatly his leadership contributes to their success. We can’t thank him enough for putting our minds at ease! ... More

This is a production builder. The emphasis is creating a stream-lines process to build a home in the fastest time possible. That is a good thing, just know that the selections are extremely limited and once you have made your selections, there is no turning back. For the most part, employees were helpful and easy to work with. When adjustments and remediation were needed on the house, they were completed in a timely manner.

First time purchasing a brand new home so I can’t compare to past experience. With that being said I believe the K HOV experience was top notch 2nd to none the whole way through. We did have some issues with other areas not in anyway caused by K HOV but even then they offered help and anything they could do to help. Great company great home great employees. It has been a few weeks now since we’ve moved in and with every day that passes were more and more glad we went with K HOV vs a few other builders we had the option to use. Thanks again

We are happy overall. Very pleased with the warranty representative. Not very happy with the sloppy painters as we continue to find and clean up paint on the floor and hardware. Thanks!
