Great builder but slow in response to warranty issues.

Purchasing our home was a stress free, easy experience due to the assistance of Matthew, our sales represntative and Mark, our construction manager... Both were extremely professional and caring... Construction was on schedule and craftmanship was very good... Attention to detail and a quality job was a focus of the team building our home... This was due, as mentioned to both Matthew and Mark... A job well done...

I would never recommend buying a home from K. Hovnanian, they have the worst customer services ever, they are unprofessional, disrespectful and rude. Upgrades afford for your home are not good quality, I been having lots of issues that are not begin addressed properly due to lack of communication throughout the company. I'm in a very stressful situation, I regret buying my home with is company. I would stay away! Buy else where, don't waste you time and money.

The house is amazing, 98% of the house is exactly how we imagined it. There are some small issues that for the most part have been resolved by working with K. Hov. I hope more don't show up after they stop working with us.

The quality of the materials and finishes is great, with some opportunities on the timing to fix small issues identified after the moving. The process of purchase went smoothly with a surprise at the end when the address number has changed which generated some impacts on the closing. There is still an issue with the gas metrics as is is wrongly assigned at PS&G so I will end up paying my neighbour invoice and vice versa. Support from Hovnanian is needed.

This was my first home ever and did not know what to expect. KHov made it super easy for me the whole way, whether it was finding a bank/insurance/explaining all the things in my home. Thank you so much!

We bought this home together... Judith C. and Douglas M. We would rate the overall experience as average AT BEST. Sales process was good. Picking finishes process was above average. Many communication issues occurred prior to ground breaking, which was very late, which ended up costing us much money and frustration. Once construction began, things went pretty smoothly, though we found the workmanship in many areas disappointing - grouting / caulking poorly done or not done at all, electrical and heating and air conditioning workmanship haphazard in some places, painting of trim and doors was very disappointing and inadequate as was some detail carpentry. As the house went up, and the opportunity to change electrical outlet placement and light fittings SHOULD have still been open, it wasn't. Several options we could have selected were not verbalized to us, so we are paying to have it done after the fact or just doing without (gas piping into laundry room, vaulted ceilings, window in guest bath...) Landscaping was a nightmare and still is unsatisfactory. The construction manager tried in some cases to be helpful, but said his hands were tied. In other cases he was non-committal to fixing obvious mistakes, that, in our opinion, should have been fixed before we even saw them. for example the railing on the stairs to the back porch was placed in the middle of our dining room window. on other occasions he was very willing to get things fixed, especially after we had a home inspection by a 3rd party. We are still dealing with a dripping A/C register in the loft, that should never have been a problem... On the exterior, there are several areas where the concrete work was done using 2 different shades and looks lousy. Based on this experience, we would not hire this builder again as they do not really walk their talk... sadly. Given a 2nd chance, we would remodel an existing home, before having a mass builder like this one do one up from scratch. ... More

Title company has not sent closing papers to my mailing address. Have scanned info., contacted them, and no answer. Also Orange Coast Title delayed closing and cost extra time as they did not approve of my Trust although I have closed over 6 transactions in less than 2 years using first pages of my Trust to take title.. Also, I discovered and said that I paid extra for stainless Steel. Finally person told me they gave me black and would do stainless appliances later. I felt this was hidden from me and no one has contacted nor given info. about Stainless or getting credit back since I paid for it. I also paid for outlet at certain place in bathroom. Agent told someone it didn't matter where it was put, but it did matter to me. Most places would have that in writing rather than signed by me rather than agent misrepresenting what I wanted. Really surprised that company did not care enough about customer service to credit me back $100 . Also I was misled about inside insulation which cost over $900. However, if you are still reading, the floor plan is excellent, and I get many compliments on how much friends and family like this home. Wish you had Title Company that sends closing papers immediately and responds when I contact. 38 days now since I have closed. No closing papers. Concerned about check, plus I need certified closing papers. Not sure what your guidelines are, but I hope someone cares enough to follow up on problems. ... More

Was smooth and flawless from their side. From sales to closing to warranty items

Everything from the offer, to working with the loan officer, to closing, to move in was a great experience and everything went smoothly. Stevie, the agent at the property, Jennifer with KHAM, and the construction manager Kendrick have all been top notch.

The people I worked with were extremely sketchy - first, blatantly lying about the overall price of the unit and not disclosing that the price included incentives that required me to use their mortgage company. Second, including items (and costs) on the spec sheet which were NOT included in the finished home. As far as I can tell, the home seems well-built, but any buyers need to be EXTREMELY diligent in asking questions about the price, what’s included, and double/triple-checking all spec sheets and items included in the home to ensure they are getting what they paid for.

The sales team were amazing. Trisha and Sabrina are the best and always go above and beyond. Anthony was a pleasure to deal with during construction. Rick has taken care of my issues in a timely fashion and is always polite. The only issue I had through my home purchase, was the mortgage side.

Excellent homes and great neighborhood

We had a great experience with the builder/super when building our home. They were timely in getting the home completed and communicated every step of the way. The only part of K. HOV I would never use again is the lender.

Dave weaver our project manager is attentive, diligent, detail oriented, a kind person. He is a rear asset to the KHov family. What I love about khov home is the clever use of space, the light and brightness of their home makes it airy and brings a sense of calm. They use good quality products. Overall a great investment.

We picked out our lot over a year before it was to be built. Our lot happened to be the last unit built at Four Ponds. It is an absolute disaster! We paid an extra $10,000 for the end home and our backyard is a safety and health hazard. It’s a steep cliff (I have 3 young children) and the grading was not done properly and we have sitting water. Causing bacteria growth and attracting insects. The inside of our home was rushed and messy. We have a wall in our kitchen that is not flat, causing our backsplash to be crooked, which then caused our oven top to be crooked as well. The kitchen peninsula is crooked due to the kitchen wall. Serious and major mistakes!! All that can be seen by the naked eye. Our stair case was never sanded, the wood is rough and has caused injuries to my 21 month old. The staining and painting look like my 7 year old did it. All the wood trim throughout the downstairs, is dented or chipped and was painted over. We had cracks in our fireplace, the wall in our mater is off and on a slant. The kitchen tile backsplash was not cut correctly on one side. Just so many items that need to be fixed. It’s sad, because we sold our old home thinking we were moving our family into a safe, new and prestigious place. ... More

Overall my family and I love our new home with KHovnanian Enclave at Waugh Chapel. It’s spacious design and price for the location have made it and ideal place to raise a family. The KHovnanian team have made this and awesome experience.
