Very attentive and does a good job

- Quality - The quality of the materials used is great, the execution of installation at least in my case, was rushed and therefore substandard. They are still contacting me to finish duct blaster testing (I've been living in my home for 45 days) which should have been completed prior to my move in. They demanded that we close no later than a specific date but they didn't finish construction until just a few days before closing. Only allowing a few days for the walk through to be completed. On top of that they keep hassling you about giving them 5 stars on this rating. Stop asking and earn it. - Value- That being said I believe the value was there, definitely a good purchase. Not 5 stars because of the rushed work and the subsequent work requests I've had to put in and make time for them to fix. - Trustworthiness - 'At least they tell you they're cheap in some areas' Lighting for example, I was told by them that pretty much all of my lights would have to be replaced soon. I expected them to last at least a year. Nope, nearly all of my exterior lights and about 1/3 of my interior lights have either burnt out, dimmed significantly or are flickering. Since they were very upfront about that among other things, they get nearly full points for trustworthiness. Two reasons for 4 stars instead of 5. 1. They demanded earnest money to close by a specific date. No problem. Only that they did not finish building until three days prior to the last day we could close without incurring fees. The walk though and final walk though were just 1 day apart! 2. We were lied to during the selling about gaps on the underside of the fence. Probably just a misunderstanding (I don't think it was malicious) between what sales thinks construction can/will do. - Responsiveness - It's slow. I expect it to be slow. I don't expect a business to prioritize warranty issues. I put in a request to fix a door and it took a week to get a reply. Therefore, a 4 star 'okay' rating. They respond and resolve issues without much fuss but it's not a 5 star response. All that being said, I want to shout out an all-star that they have working for them. Robert. The construction manager has been super honest and very helpful, he was given a nearly impossible timeline and has been working tirelessly to assist us. He alone is why my rating is not significantly lower. If I was just rating him, then I would give him 5 stars all around! ... More

I am so pleased with the purchase I made with KHOV. They definitely want to do the right thing for the home buyer. Art was excellent with keeping up with the quality of the job performed. There were some minor things that were overlooked, but they were taken care of quickly and swiftly. I brought my realtor during my inspection visits to ensure I wasn't overlooking any details. He was impressed their process and attention to detail. Will was great with coordinating and was always in constant communication with the progress of the home. It was awesome being a part of the build process. Obviously, I'm a little partial to home I purchased, but it has proved to be worth the wait! We identified several issues to the builder, they worked on it but it did not present the quality of work we expected, so we had to keep calling the builder to keep re-fixing again and again. We still have several open tickets, things are getting fixed slowly, but what a hassle. In general this is a good builder and they use quality materials (not the best, but still good). I you are paying top dollar for a house and expect detail oriented quality, find another builder.

The home buying experience was like no other. I was updated on a weekly basis the progress of my home. Everyone was very professional in their job. The level of materials down to the switch plates was excellent. My questions were answered in a timely manner. The personel at the design were a big help in picking out options. The builder pays a great deal of attention to detail

More attention to details would improve the experience

I would recommend KHov homes to friends and family.

The sales team had little to no communication, all people involved were lazy and not willing to address issues in a timely manner if at all. No important details were communicated to the buyer

We have had a great experience working with the Khov team of Watson Creek. Everyone is very attentive and every issue that has arisen after our move in has been taken care of in a very timely manner.

I really like my house. It’s built quite nicely. Unfortunately me along with many of my neighbors had and awful time dealing with them. One of the main problem individuals will not return calls or emails to you. Only willing to interact with your lawyer. This individual won’t honor closings on Fridays due to wanting to take long weekends. Many of my neighbors did not close on time due to this individual and I almost didn’t until I was willing to walk away and their supervisor contacted me. This company normally has 10K of your money down for earnest money and for that reason feels like they can bully you, not close on time, and not respond to you. Thankfully I refused to sign a document requiring that large of earnest money. They continually blame the builder as the problem. The “builder” is what they say and you never get to know who this person is or speak to them. It’s like OZ, the man behind the curtain you can’t talk to but I’ve found out that the closing office seems to be a large part of the problem. Also they offer you perks if you use their mortgage lender. They are difficult to deal with when you do use them, but seem to punish you or put you at the bottom of their priority list if you don’t. This is not my first home purchase but was by far the worst. They houses are really nice, but I honestly can’t recommend them as I would not want to put a one through what I and many others have gone through with not making your closing, lack of communication, and complete disrespect for you. I’ve heard the phrase multiple time that they can easily find someone else to purchase the house but when I finally called their bluff they finally seemed to work with me slightly. ... More

5 star as the Excellent K. Hovnanian team responded in a timely manner to my questions and concerns

We moved to a new state and pretty quickly fell in love with the area and more specifically the options and straightforwardness of the KHov home building process. The cherry on top was the staff, they were there for every crazy question we had. We are so happy with our decision to go with Khov and would do it all over again!

Very satisfied with our new home

I had issue with Mailbox keys and kHOV has been pointing fingers on others like USPS and they point to HOA & in turn HOA says it's builder who made the mistake. I as home owner & tenant are going in circles from almost 2 weeks and so far we don't even know who owns this problem but the Owner & Tenant is suffering. This is not acceptable, period.

We stumbled onto the Sola Vista community one day and fell in love with an inventory home that just became available that same day due to the previous buyers (who designed it) financing falling through. It felt like destiny, as we hadn't even listed our house for sale yet. The sales agent we worked with, Jorge, is a gem. Friendly, honest and super patient. The building manger, Lawrence, is just a fantastic human. He made sure that everything was perfect with the home. The walk through was extremely thorough. He's even checked in on us to see how things are going and if we've needed anything several times since closing and we've been here a month. All of our questions were answered and we were 100% satisfied. The community is gorgeous and very well kept, neighbors are friendly, and everyone at KHov is lovely to work with. We are very thankful to be part of the community and absolutely love our home. Buying with KHov was the best decision. We've recommended them to several family members already! ... More

Sales people, Job foreman were fantastic. From breaking ground to finish. I highly recommend KHOV homes.

Good Service

The process was pretty smooth throughout. The builders themselves did a wonderful job. The home is absolutely gorgeous and I love it. The liaison/realtor was excellent. She did a fantastic job throughout the entire process. She was incredible with communication and keeping us up to date. Any company should be proud to have her. Now the issue is there was a grading issue that the company had with the city, and the VP of construction failed to inform his team of. The builders and everyone else on the typical level you would meet with had no idea of the issue, and they all said we could build a fence. The evening before our closing date we got a call that informed us we could not move in due to the city holding the occupancy permits due to said issue above. The team had no idea and very quickly went to work on finding out what was wrong. Finally after two days of the VP supposed to give me a call to inform me of the issues, he stated he knew of the issue and that we could not build a fence. He also blatantly admitted they gambled with the revised plans being accepted in time for us to close instead of informing the customers that there would be an issue at all. Very poor communication from upper management and even to their own teams. The accounting and legal team didn't know we weren't closing on that until I reached out to them to inform them as they were waiting for us to show up for closing. Finally agreeing to the cities wishes of installing drain piping we were able to close two months late. This may have been a one time thing. Very nice home. All were very responsive and helpful.

in love with our home here at high point haltom city. Everything until now seems perfect. The price that we got our house was very reasonable.

Since the initial meeting with the sales representative, my wife and I have been extremely pleased on our choice to buy a home built by K. Hovnanian. We were kept informed throughout the process and everyone that we worked and communicated with have been very pleasant and total professionals. Even after moving in, we have been contacted and continuously asked 'If all was well with the home?' We have nothing but great comments and do feel like we bought into a new family.

No follow up once you have closed

Excellent overall

We are so happy with our new home. We didn't plan on buying a new construction but this area is convenient to Quantico and well desired. I wish there was a bit more retail & restaurants closer but we can get to most in FXBG within 15-20 mins depending on traffic. David W. did a fantastic job during our walk-thru of showing every detail of the house and its utilities. KHov seems to have a great reputation as a builder and after a month+ I have no complaints.
