When you build a home in 4 months, don't expect quality craftsmanship. Lots of interior issues - drywall/paint defects. Landscape is a 3/10 at best. Sprinklers not sitting flush with the ceiling. Lack of customizing. Overall, I wouldn't pick a KHov build for our next home.

For the price of the house, we should have gotten morn out if it. They care more about building houses than having a play park for kids.

Design team is so outdated ! I feel the house model is from 1980s and no update in designs. Definetely overpriced for these outdated designs.

I experienced poor customer service on repair issues

Everything was GREAT in the beginning, but when it was time to really get down to the paper work, signing things went off to another level. We decided to go with the builders lender, to get all the perks they were offering, however in the long run i wish i would have stayed with my realtors lender.. They amount of back and fourth on paperwork, due to getting lost or asking for additional things wasnt the issues it was the fact you had us sign closing papers and then retracted the sale because the builders lender didnt have their documentation organized or miscommunication with the lenders team. When buying a new home its stressful, i understand the amount of paperwork that is required that wasnt the issue at all.., but you should never have a new home owner sign closing docs, then call them 1 hr after signing thinking we are on our way to get the keys to our NEW HOME to say, sorry we had to retract the close because we forget, or we now need additional documentation.. My husband and i looked at each other and both broke down, how can this be?? So we went into immediate - backup plan at this point.. we were able to get all the documents need and FINALLY got the keys to our forever home.. Ihope no one else ever experiences what we did.. it was stressful, very upsetting.. I also must say, for the amount of $$ these homes are being sold for, there should be some type of landscape in backyards, or at least have the backyard level, and pick up nails and trash left from the builders workers, and maybe think of putting Gutters on the homes, insane this is not something they do on the new homes.. best of Luck to anyone else who purchase a home.. ... Our options regarding architectural design of the home were not explicit right from the beginning. The visit to the "Design Gallery" as well as the "Sight and Sound" agency, where selections of the "Digital Communication Systems (including Security and phone/internet providers), shapes, styles and quality of interior fixtures' materials and other "finishing" specifications ought to have been done and customers' preferences pinned down and priced out before binding Sales Contracts are signed. This is because we ultimately signed the sales contract agreement and paid the required deposit before visiting the "design Gallery where some of our needed selections were unavailable. The salesperson insisted that since the contract had been signed, our choices were limited to what were available. Otherwise, failure to choose from the available limited options, would lead to forfeiture of our deposit. Two toned interior painting of the home which was marked to us in the sales brochure, was discontinued when it was time to build our home. So only one tone color paint was used for our home. Thus we felt short changed. While waiting for completion of our home, the company in the interim, had a special sales program that lowered the sale price (by $38,000) of the same home model as we bought . The sales person refused to make any adjustment for us to synchronize with the advertised new sale price., This refusal occurred despite the fact that construction of our new home, was yet to start. The home had too many issues to be handled after move in.

Initially when we were first looking at the properties all was wonderful, then our representative ghosted us days after closing without a word when we needed her most, we noticed the poor craftsmanship of the home almost immediately after moving in, doorknobs falling off in your hand, constant knocking noise from the walls, paint splatters on floors, doors wilted all around with dents an holes, carpet pokes, tiles separating, grout splatters, leaks, electrical issues, the list goes on an on. We expected so much better from KHov, they really need to put more effort into the quality of their homes. ... More

We were extremely disappointed at our walk-through and after living in the home. Poor workmanship, poor quality of cabinets, trim, doors.

I found a significant lack of quality review of the work done in the building process. Specifically, the interior workmanship was less than adequate, Grout left smeared on the bottom edges of the tub and showers, paint drips not cleaned up on the floors and carpet, paint sloppy, and overall cleanliness at delivery was horrible. I'm still finding issues.

Process was draining, lots of broken promises, still fighting HOA to get a fence we were promised, the time it takes to fix things in the house. I feel like my unit being the first one up was rushed!

I am extremely disappointed with the sale department's abysmal level of service. The lack of coordination between departments during the transition process was not only frustrating but also a clear indication of their negligence. Documents not being properly handed over to the closing department resulted in unnecessary headaches. The closing personel Michelle took out her frustration the buyer when it's clearly the seller lack of responsibility. Furthermore, the sale person , Steve, inability to respond to customer emails in a timely manner is inexcusable. Waiting for days to receive a response is not only unprofessional but also reflects a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. This entire experience has been a testament to their incompetence and lack of commitment to their clients. I strongly advise anyone considering working with this department to think twice before subjecting themselves to such a disorganized and unresponsive ordeal. The only good thing is the person Ryan, who did the walk thru is very responsive and kept up with all the agenda. ... More

Sales person was awesome. Warranty dept. Has been nothing but broken promise after broken promise. Not one item on a long list has really been addressed yet. After they receive the check, they forget about the new homeowner. It has been very frustrating to say the least, nothing like what was promised.

They are building homes in hurry and so missing quality

Poor quality of fixtures, cabinets and workmanship. Toiilets and sinks in bath not centered. Cheap workmanship

The sales people were great. The house/yard is pieced together with the cheapest materials and products possible, and evidently the cheapest labor. Everything will be "military grade" and that's not a good thing. Just enough to pass inspection is a good way to describe it. Keep your expectations extremely low and you won't be disappointed with the quality.

The experience started off great, but then took a turn. This was a roller coaster that has not ended.

I’ve rated overall as a 3, i so believe this could have been done better. i hear “sorry about that” over and over during this purchase process. Haley did a good job but again “sorry” was quick in her lips. i would have rather heard an explanation as to why rather then a simple “sorry”. overall she did a good job, it wasn’t her doing the work she was just the face of the purchase. since i’ve moved in, i’m still awaiting touch up paint, repair of broken cabinets, repair of a leaking ac coil. now i’ve just found where the tile guy washed grout down the shower drain. i’ll have to have a plumber come in to try and clean this out as the shower drain is very slow. on all of the things i’m waiting on your team gives me “sorry we are waiting on……”. just gets frustrating. we have moved in and are trying to make this home ours, will be happen when the last of the khov things are complete. again, haley our salesperson did a great job, all of the issues were beyond her control. ... During our first few days in the home we noticed we were sweating more than normal while performing light duty chores and had trouble sleeping at night. Our towels would still be wet 24 hours after showering when hung up to dry. Items from the fridge would sweat immediately once taken out. We put in a service ticket with the warranty group during the first week and after a month we still have no answer to what the problem is. We have been running a dehumidifier 24/7 to keep moisture levels below 65% and every time it shuts off for more than a couple hours the humidity level starts going up. The HVAC group has come out about once a week and made minimal changes with no positive results. This experience has definitely spoiled the excitement of buying a new home. ... More

Sales dept: They come off very nice, but they weren't trustworthy (said we were moving forward with a lot purchase, then sold it to someone else), never knew anything about what was happening with the lot/house we ended up purchasing; over all disappointing Design dept: Excellent! Got great service from the design team Building supervisor: Excellent. Very forthright about build schedule, delays, etc. Very good communication Post-move in: several items still need to be fixed; have submitted several tickets/workorders - some were taken care of quickly; other items still pending with not follow up communication from KHov We love our new home, but the overall experience from initial purchase to move-in has been mixed. ... The house was NOT ready to be handed over to me and I have a list of over 15 items that need to be repaired with contractors in my house almost daily! The construction team totally dropped the ball and the quality of the workmanship of the house is terrible! I can't believe the amount of defects and things that need to be fixed!! It is unacceptable for the amount of money I paid for this house.

Still waiting on final pending items from our final walk before closing four weeks ago.

This process started out great. It was quick and painless. As we got into the build things started to go wrong time after time. Things such as our basement flooding 2 separate times due to errors made by the contractors. For us to then move in and still have a thick layer of mud/dust from the mud all over our basement. We had to fight to have the concrete replaced for our driveway because it was so rippled it would have been destroyed in a few short years. We had cracks on our step for our porch, which were still not fixed properly. We reached out to our building manager for a few simple things once the home closed, and have yet to have these items corrected. Our furnace wouldn’t turn on the first cold day of the season and we called the emergency line for them to tell us we had to wait multiple days for the heating company to come out and they’d call to have it scheduled, but when we called the company to follow up because we hadn’t heard from them 24 hrs later they said they heard nothing from KHovnanian to schedule them to come out. This process started great and ended with a bad taste in our mouth. Although we love our home, the process to get to here was more stressful then we expected. The many errors that occurred throughout the process were careless errors that could have been prevented with more attention to detail. Would we recommend your build to someone else? I wouldn’t say we wouldn’t because the home is much nicer then most local builders, but we will be sure to explain our struggles throughout this process. ... More

For how long we had to wait, I’m not so satisfied. Things still need to be fixed, workmanship was horrible. You need to hire people that know what they are doing. Covering a grout mistake is terrible. My grout is horrible. Was told nothing can be done. I’m sure I will in time love my house.

Got my home and couple things were not right. Reported them to the representative and have not heard anything back it’s been more then a month that things are reported but no one got back with an answer.
