Basically the home building experience with KHov has been a good one. There have been a few "bumps in the road " along the way, but they were handled professionally by the KHov personnel in a timely and complete fashion.

From the sales process all the way through warranty, K. Khovnanian team has been very responsive and respectful to all requests! This is how customer service should look for all industries!

Our home is spec home, anyway we had walked through a home similar to what had purchased. We had seen wrought iron spindles on the stairwell, we had asked if this was part of our home, saleswoman said yes, when we signed we were told that they were not included. We were also told being a spec we had the ability to change or upgrade as long as it was not already ordered. Come to find out we were not able to do so. Dont get me wrong I love our home. Just the fact one would say something the other says another.

We are very pleased to have worked with such professional and wonderful people and made our dream of owning our own home a reality. Each individual delivered beyond our expectations and made it so easy for us to finish the process. AC unit too small for home.

I closed escrow on my new home 5/26. From the day I got the keys the house was not move-in ready. I trusted the builder to have completed the items needed to be fixed in the home visit new as I had purchased. However, not only were all the items not repaired but new issues arose and now seven weeks in the house I still have blue tape everywhere marking items that have not been resolved. From the cracked/split baseboards, AC upstairs blowing hot air, wood cracked on stairs, ceiling bubble throughout the kitchen to the garage door being hung incorrectly which caused the paint to scrape off to metal on both sides and the stucco outside cracked in several places. I’ve been extremely patient and reached out to over 17 members with the KHOV team Asking for assistance. At this point no one has taken ownership to make it right. I’m extremely disappointed in the build and finishes of the home given the price point. One would expect more from the builder as they pride themselves on quality. I’m ready to take further action if someone doesn’t take ownership and assist with my issues in a timely manner. I look forward to hearing from someone within the company at a leadership level to step in and make this right. ... More

Great quality and finishes as well as layout choices. The staff has been very accommodating and helpful throughout all stages of the process. Overall very satisfied and would recommend to others. Looking forward to spending many years in our wonderful new home.

We moved in a month ago and have had numerous issues. Two electrical problems, one where the fire alarms weren't wired. Our AC has been out twice and then was also not wrapped so blowing into the attic. Our backyard doesn't drain properly. One of the drains on our sinks had been kicked and knocked off so water was draining onto the floor. Cabinets missing chunks, fence falling off, back door not catching. All was fixed but response times were terrible especially for AC and most of the companies that came out to fix things left a mess and/or showed up way outside of the scheduled time window causing me to miss work. Everyone super kind people but very disappointed with so many things wrong in a brand new house in a month. Have worked to make things right. ... More

My partner and I both have shared an amazing experience from start to finish building our first home with K. Hovnanian. Before we decided to build, we went around looking at every model home in Balmoral and throughout Sunset Ridge. However, the Juniper II was the very first model we saw, and fell in love immediately. From the sales office to our construction manager, things ran smoothly and quickly for the most part. Our construction manager is very good at what she does; she walked us through every single detail, no matter how minor. She also walked us through how the warranty process works and gave us expert advice on keeping our home in great condition for years to come. After we closed and moved in, we did notice a few minor things--such as a few doorknobs being loose and how when it rains, we have water that sits in the backyard by the fence. We did notify our construction manager and she had it corrected the very next day. Overall, we highly recommend K. Hovnanian to our friends and family. I have spoken to several of them already, and they are all planning on checking out the company here in Sunset Ridge and a few other neighborhoods in the Houston-area. ... More

The house is our dream but due to bad grading in the back, we have a swamp like area. After several weeks of back and forth with the builder, we had to get the city inspector to cease occupancy permits for the remainder of the development before they would entertain correcting the grading. It has been a month now since they had stated they were going to fix the issue but still haven't started the work. They also haven't fixed the chip in the bathroom counter that happened before home inspection.

The construction manager is easy to work with and responds immediately. His goal is to make sure you are taken care of.

This is our third time to have a home built, KHovnanian was great to work with, the upgrades seemed a little on the high side but we do love our home.

Let me start off by saying the sales process in the beginning was fantastic. K. Hov had a fantastic sales representative that really took care of us and made us feel like part of the family. The whole process was great. We got to see our house every step of the way being built. They let us walk through whenever we wanted with very short notice. It was very transparent very the day we went to look at our dream house/lot. At the end of the process is when it became a real show. Our closing was delayed due to permitting issues with the city. We finally got to sign, almost a month after our original move in date to only find out an easement was added to our back yard which only allows us to use 50% of the back yard because of drainage concerns and incorrect grading by K. Hov on the lot. One week into our new home, the entire finished basement flooded with community sewage. It was found by the city that a builder had blocked the main sewer line with concrete and construction debris. Again, K. Hov quality control person was very responsive and worked through the pandemic very well to keep us updated with when they were coming to repair the basement damage. They sent someone out to clean within a couple hours, the plumber was contacted within an hour and the city showed up within ten minutes of the flood. The employees of K. Hov definitely deserve better management from the top. When I contacted K. Hov president to express my displeasure, he didn't seem to care. He wanted me to go through my homeowners insurance when it was clearly their fault. I threatened to sue and he told me to go ahead. Very rude. I expressed my concern about buying our dream home and not being able to use the yard and he said thats something you should have looked into before signing the papers. The employees should go work for a company who cares. We have been fighting with the builder and the city now for almost three months to get the drainage issue in the back resolved before the basement ends up flooding again. Again, great upfront process and great employees. They just work for a president who doesn't care once he gets his money from the homeowners. ... More

George was our builder in the KHOV Thunder Bay community. He was very professional and did an excellent job explaining all the details/construction to us. I would highly recommend KHOV because they employee individuals like this.

Steve did an excellent job from the beginning of the process to the ending. He is awesome! Perry in the new build dept. is awesome! I have had an excellent process and highly recommend Cornerstone Allotment!

They used the cheapest contractors out there. They're really looking out for KHOV.

Everyone we have worked with at K. Hovnanian Homes has been fabulous! They are responsive and truly want to make the home-owning experience the best for you. There were minor quality issues during our walkthrough, but they were happy to get those things fixed for us before we moved in. As first time home-buyers, we are so glad we chose K. Hovnanian!

We had a really good experience with Khov- Glenn in the sales office was great - he worked with us during the challenges of Covid19 - he kept us informed - responded to all of our questions - sent updates frequently - and the end result - we moved in our timeline, and we love our home! Thanks Glenn and the Khov team!

We started our search around Feb and settle down on our fave unit mid March. Then COVID crisis brought down the City. Many needed to adjust rapidly to the new working environment. Most customer services quality dropped significantly. But we were lucky that our experience for buying our first new home went extrmely smoothly given the professionalism and understanding that we saw from all parties. Buying first home is easly anxiety provoking but we are happy that ours went with very little anxiety at a time when anxiety for everyone was reaching levels never seen before. Appreciate it.
