The KHOV Elevon salesperson was very misleading, played shady games over crediting back $1,500, I would not trust her and certainly would not refer anyone to her. The home is lovely for the most part. I was told the home was "close to being ready", knowing I was on a tight timeframe to move, they sat on the house with not a single nail for almost a month, I lost money on the house I was selling due to not one but 3 closing delays and then they did not even live up to the $1,500 credit back they offered (found that out too late). The interior is lovely (we bought the farmhouse style) but the front landscaping was sloppy, I wish that they would have actually completed the punch list before I moved in and they absolutely did not clean the lot, we have had the worst ant problems, coming in through our sockets, trim, etc. READ EVERYTHING. They do provide many beautiful upgrades like a free-standing tub, barn doors and little details that make the home just a little elevated. Some of the systems DO NOT work as described (i.e. "Fresh Air Intake"); the fence is sub-par, and I think they tried to squeeze one too many houses on each street as the houses are so close that many side yards never dry due to lack of sun. Unfortunately, you don't get the HOA rules until after you have provided earnest monies and then, the HOA rules not working for you is NOT a reason to break the contract. I did not like the Elevon Sales Team, I'm planning to sell in another year and move. I have to take ownership that I should have demanded certain information before giving them any monies. The Project Manager was great, but did I mention the Sales Team either withholds, misleads or just lies; sometimes over stupid things but they really lied about the plans for the development. That was not KHOV as a company, but the sales teams represent the company. I might have rated a little higher overall except for the fact that Heather the Salesperson really tainted the experience, and you just can't change that so every time I pulled into my garage, it just took from the joy of buying what was supposed to be my "dream home" (within an affordable price point) and the HOA management company.... just ridiculous nonsense. ... The house is nice, but not worth what I paid for it I feel like I was duped every step of the way. I’m disappointed in the quality of the materials used after paying $36k more for an upgraded package and color scheme. The sales office did not have any samples and told me to use the website. I was blindsided by thousands of dollars of assessments and fees, which I think the sales office should have initially disclosed. $52k for closing costs! 7%!!!Also there was thousands of dollars for the HOA when there is only a small playground and a dog park. The sales office also claimed I was getting a “free” basement. But I later found out only if used their mortgage company which was a full point above market rate. It was too late to change lenders when I needed to actually lock in a rate. ... More

The people on site are very attentive to questions and needs. We have felt very taken care of. Thank you for making the experience so positive.

I was extremely pleased with the initial purchase and move in process, the builder has a gold key move in process where they took me through my new home top to bottom and explained everything to me from the construction to the operation of the appliances and all the mechanical equipment (sump pump,heating & cooling). This builder has responded to all my concerns and showed that they care about correcting any issues that occur. They have been quick to respond and I would recommend this builder to potential home buyers.

Even after closing, the house was not completed, and the construction manager lied and deceived. There were things that I couldn't write down in the review. And warranty repair has not been carried out for more than three months. I regret buying a house very much and will never recommend it to people around me.

Very bad experience, there were so many thing were wrong and not working properly.

The sales person lacked knowledge, was pushy and borderline obnoxious. The loan process was ridiculous (even according to other loan officers with no vested interest, including ones who experienced it first hand.) And, I'm not referring to debt to income ratio or overall income. Working with Khov mortgage was awful and ruined our experience of buying a first home. Now that we are in the house, the lack of functionality and mistakes are glaring. It's obvious costs savings came before practical functionality. This review would have been much different if they cared about the customer experience and had knowledgeable staff. If you are considering Caliterra Ranch, have an agent to buffer you from the pushy sales staff and go with a different lender. Their lending process will suck any joy you might have out of the process. It's unfortunate, because the houses and area do have redeeming qualities. Definitely a 2 out of 5 for sales and lending (with the exception of one loan officer, who covered for ours one time). The entire process went smoothly and the team was very knowledgeable. Carolyn was good communicating our initial needs with purchasing of the home. Her and Robert were amazing with keeping us up-to-date on the construction process and answering any questions we may have had. Robert was also very responsive after closing with any concerns. Great experience all around and very happy with our new home.

The subcontractors are inferior. Obviously, the lowest bid is more important that the quality of their product. The painters, trim carpenters and cabinet installers are the worst I have ever seen. The house was filthy when we took possession. It is sad because they have nice designs but, until they hire better tradesmen they will never be a even a mid-range builder.

Excellent experience. This was the 2nd home I bought with K Hovnanian.

Tiffany and Heather are two of the most untrustworthy sales figures I’ve ever met. They do whatever they can to get you to sign and then back peddle on everything they promise. Very shady and was told by Heather herself that if I took them to small claims we would win in one of her extremely passive aggressive temper tantrums on the phone with me. Natalie who is Heather’s boss is the only person at that company that actually gets things done. Quality of home is D+ at best. Customer service is F-

Getting into the house was painless. Overall build seems good. I’ve only had a few small issues which were taken very quickly. Love the new house

I had a terrible experience with KHovnanian Homes, starting from the sales process all the way to the construction and post moving-in to the home. The sales team was terrible, unexperienced and unresponsive, and despite multiple attempts to get updates, resolutions, the sales manager never got in touch, never replied on emails and never talked on phone and sales associate said "there's nothing to talk". The entire process was frustrating and unorganized, no proper documentation was collected prior to the contract and after contract they were un-responsive. Beyond that, the construction quality is not up to par. There were noticeable issues that were not found during engineer's inspection. Things like, bad and no caulking, outlets not secured, nails on carpets. I expected much better for the price and regret choosing KHovnanian Homes. If you're considering buying from them, I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere. ... More

I had a great experience with the entire process. Everything was communicated well, all issues were fixed prior to closing. Having a great project manager on site makes a huge difference!

Great experience overall. Sales person was super helpful and guided on each and every step. Proper communication throughout every process. After I received the keys and moved into the new home, home owner service provided immediate resolution to any issues or concerns

Everyone on the team from sales to construction were friendly and knowledgeable. They made the home buying experience smooth and exciting.

There were many positive elements of working with this group. In particular I loved getting weekly photos of the progress. The people we dealt with were also great and very responsive. On the negative side, after building our house, two months later an almost identical Spec model (same model, almost identical features) was sold two houses away for $80K less. We would have bought that home had we known about it. It was disappointing and still stings.

My experience was great with the agent I worked with very knowledgeable and professional,prompt on all matters.

Quick response to service requests

We recently built our home with KHov, and our experience has been a mix of highs and lows. The sales team was absolutely fantastic, knowledgeable, helpful, and truly made the process smooth from the start. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the Warranty team, which has been disappointing at best. The biggest issue, however, has been the quality of workmanship, particularly with the drywall and painting. The level of craftsmanship is far below expectations with noticeable imperfections throughout. For the investment we made in our home, we expected much better attention to detail. If you’re considering building with KHov, be prepared for an excellent sales experience, but a frustrating time when it comes to post build support and finishing details. ... More
