basement was leaking on the second day after fixing i see water in the an other place in basement, nobody check the cut insulation was repaired with adhesive tape, not replaced, in the result and I have a house for which I paid the cake for a completely new one, but the insulation in the basement is glued with adhesive tape The floor creaks in some parts, this means that in some places the floor is normal, and in some it is not properly strengthened The stump has not been removed at the site with a height of 20 inches, and many others I will ask bloggers (with more than 1 million subscribers) describing the construction of the construction of houses to review. Mr. Crowder and Ms. Newcomb have made this experience a wonderful experience for my family and I! They were always there with one phone call, text, or email away! They are more than understanding and always willing to help. They go above and beyond what is expected, even offering to watch over our home until we were able to move into it! Just for the experience alone, I would recommend K Hovnanian to anyone!

Very quite neighborhood, close to nature.

The process of buying and building a home with K. Hovanian homes has been nothing short of a snowball effect of confusion and disappointment. We came into this process with high hopes and expectations based on our first initial meetings with (sales rep) and (sales manager) respectively, but the shortcomings we’ve experienced with K. Hovanian started almost immediately after we began working with (sales manager) on building our home. Initially, we expressed to (sales rep) in July of 2019 that we wanted a speedy moving process, but we learned that phase 1 was almost complete, and that there weren’t many home sites left to choose from. (Sales rep) had assured us that while phase 1 of the building was coming to a close, phase 2 would shortly begin and we could have one of the top picks for a lot. This being our first home, we wanted things to be perfect from start to finish, so we decided to take her advice and wait. Roughly a month passes by while we’re waiting until Phase 2 to start, and we hear from (sales manager) that there would be no phase 2 for this community. At this point we expressed our disappointment to (Sales manager), and explained that we felt like we were receiving the short end of the stick because were told to wait for Phase 2 and other specials/incentives phase 2 would bring, which (sales manager) replies that not only will we have to choose from the picked over site plans, but that we also missed out on the incentive that was being offered in the summer with waived transfer tax. At this point this wasn’t a total deal breaker, but we, as the customer, felt like something should’ve been honored for this confusion. We asked (sales manager) for different options to make us feel valued since we had already missed out on so much, only for her to come back and say “my manager said it’s not in the budget”. We again, were turned down and disappointed. Once we decided on lot 87, which was among a very small group of choices, we had asked (sales manager) if closing costs could be rolled in to our loan, since we were not offered the summer special of waived transfer fees, and she said yes. Come to find out in December of 2019 from (finance manager) at K.Hovanian finance, we cannot do this, but when we questioned (sales manager) she says she never told us that, and that we “should’ve got it in writing”. We met with (sales manager) in August 2019 for the signing of our contract to begin building, with an estimated settlement date around February 21, 2020. October of 2019, after 2 months of us believing our home was in the process of being built, (sales manager) calls to tell us that lot 87 was no longer available, and that we had to pick a different lot from three completely different lots, none of which were offered to us when we sat down to sign the contract back in August 2019. We expressed our concern with this sudden change, and how uncomfortable we felt moving forward after this was kept from us for such anextended period of time, and threatened to go to a competitor. (Sales manager) was somehow able to get us lot 87 back the next day. From this point through December, we had absolutely no idea the status regarding construction of our home due to lack of communication by (sales manager) weeks on end. (She would call us after we would reach out and say "I have nothing to tell you”). We finally knew the status of our home and the process of ordering materials began around the end of the month in December of 2019, which is only due to me calling corporate and escalating to VP of sales . (Sales manager), after learning that we contacted (VP of Sales) ,called me and said that the only reason the beginning of construction took this long is because we did not pay full down payment yet. This comes after the fact that she told us before we signed the contract that we can do a payment plan for the deposit, so once again, (sales manager) is providing false and slightly demeaning explanations. After escalating all of these issues to the corporate office, we were told that VP of sales for this region (VP of sales) would reach out to us and come up with a solution for us. His solution was that every Monday we would be contacted by (construction manager) and (sales manager) with a status update of our home. For two weeks we were left to wonder yet again 'what the heck is going on with our home?'. (Sales manager) failed AGAIN to communicate. We understand now that (construction manager) was on vacation. Our experience has been a total nightmare. Our first experience as homebuyers is a complete disaster. We feel that we should have continued renting. We don’t feel we are getting a deal, we feel ripped off and left behind. We want someone to make it right for us and restore confidence in our decision to build with K Hovananian. We love our house, but we are noticing a lot of little things, now that we are living here, that we missed on our walkthroughs. It seems to me a stricter check or verification of work after the house is finished should be in order. Nothing major, just little things you wouldn’t expect to find. Paint thinly applied on walls and cabinets, master bathroom toilet seat was up on both our walkthroughs, but when down reveals chips on the top of the lid, loose screws on kitchen cabinets, guest toilet running constantly, etc. etc. Overall, we are happy. Love the floor plan, and the house.

My fiancé and I love our new K Hov home. There are minor dings and dents around the home but this is normal across the board with any new or used home. Where the service is superb is with the warranty department. They have been excellent this far with fixing things in a timely manner. We will continue feedback thru the one year warranty period. The Dwight Street is a little low on light at night and I think it’s due to some of the lights in the road being off. Turning them on would be great to increase the safety of our Inspirado neighborhood. Another concern is that google maps doesn’t have our home listed correctly. Because of this, many of our packages have been delivered or delayed for weeks on end. Having the homes on Google maps should be done while the new homes are being built. Also, getting mail delivered has been a nightmare for us. Between my husband and I, we have called the post office so many times and nothing gets done. The post office says the mailman needs a master key to be able to open and deliver our mail but this has not happened and having the help of the builder to give them the master key would be great because we have not had a single piece of mail in over a month. Crazy to think that my personal information is floating around in space somewhere. Aside from these minor complaints that I wish to be heard and helped with, I would recommend this builder to my closest friends and family. Please help us K Hov. ... More

Could be very good, but getting punch list items taken care of has been slow. It seems if you do not constantly ask, nothing gets done. Outside quality seems better than inside. Lots of little flaws. Some in materials and some in workmanship.

My experience with K. Hovnanian Homes has been truly amazing, without our sales rep Ashely, my family without any doubt in our minds believe we would have not been able to take the step to purchase this beautiful Wilmington home. The thing we absolutely admired was how Ashely explained everything so thoroughly to us that when we got to the process of the the actual home loan, we were more than ready. We had all documents we needed so the process wouldn't be a slow one, as we were super excited. Then when it came to our most kind and humble loan officer Kevin, who had a very huge hand in helping us achieve our most desired dream of owning a home. Kevin was brilliant, he answered every question we had. Even though we were going through a pandemic Kevin's advice in his profession helped us secure our loan which we promise to K. Hovnanian Homes to payoff. Last but not least my one of the greatest people we met during all this was Gary, the most passionate builder I have ever met. During our first meeting he explained the layout of the house so well even though it was not fully built. He showed us what our dream was beginning to look like and we were excited that this all was coming along just perfectly. Gary's explanation of the home's every corner got us ready for what was to come. Gary showed us everything from top to bottom further preparing us for how to keep this beautiful house maintained. Any question I ever had, Gary was there. Without any doubt in my mind, Ashely, Kevin and Gary are truly a dream team that make dreams comes true. I want to thank them all once again for everything they have done for us during this home loan process. We are thankful and humbled by the great hospitality and service provided to us my K. I am very happy with the process and outcome of this whole experience. My house is beautiful and I couldn't be happier. The only issue I have is the water pressure. It is not as strong as it should be. Was told to go to the County to get this reconciled.

Started looking for a home in 2018 wasn’t too familiar with Khov or the Mont Belvieu area in 2019 a friend told us about this area and this builder we went and saw the model Easton II and here we are 6 months later loving our new home. Heather was our sales rep and she was so patient, helpful and kind. We had a gentlemen named Justin for our construction manager who kept us in the loop about every step of the build as we requested. I could go on and on about how Knov has met and exceeded our expectations, but it’s truly something you need to experience for yourself.

The company lied to us about drainage issues on the property from Day one and created a false appraisal of the new home, cheating out and lying to federal regulators.

So far, I've had no issues with the process of buying my K.Hov home. The builder and sales staff have been resourceful and prompt to any questions I might have. I don't have any issues thus far with craftsmanship and materials, but it's too early to tell. That said, I truly feel like I'm in a well-built house that will be everything I was looking for in the many years to come.

I wish that khov used better materials in their homes.

This was my first new build so I'm not sure what the norm is. With that said, I wasn't blown away with my experience. I'm happy with my home and I was pleased with the end result but it took a lot of back and forth to get it there. The most impressive part of the experience was after I closed. I had an emergency situation and Jay was there for me. That meant a lot. The only real negative was the preliminary final walk. I think we all learned from that experience. As the title stated, there's always room for improvement.

It has been a good experience from start to finish. Helen and team did a great job and I really appreciate the support I have received throughout the entire home buying experience.
