Very satisfied.

Good communication during the build process. Drastic change in customer service after closing. Very disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend based on post close customer service alone.

We are still waiting for issues that need to be addressed from the initial walk-through and it’s been over a months sense because the house. New superintendent is contacting us and he seems like is Trying to address the issues that were promised to be fixed before closing. The hard wood floor and bath- kitchen cabinets still need to be fixed. The reason for giving bad reviews for workmanship is because I have to replace a door knob, have to paint almost 5 door because it’s pealing from the bottom( this was’nt addressed are the at the walk through, the metal overnight on the upstairs mirror was chipped which we saw on the closing day, all door frames are not sealed at the bottom, garage doesn’t have wall base we’re we found to mice and other pest, AC is making too much noice and toilet water supply lines from building is sticking out from wall(it not installed properly. ... Overall experience was pleasant. We had some serious troubles deciding options/upgrades with sales agent Howard F. Many options were not explained to us and some we requested were not added to the contract. At some places door trims do not appear to be of good quality. Above all, after a month of closing, mailbox is still being setup and we haven’t handed over the keys yet. This has created a whole bunch of issues with mail handling and shipments. However, Cody and Meredith are trying to stay on top this issue and address it as best as they can.

Do not close on the sale if there are any outstanding issues. Once the sales transaction is complete, the company is essentially not responsive.

The build quality is mostly good if not excellent. However, from day-1 we have to take care of some issues, including: 1. Vibrating A/C compressor. I am sure that it's defective but on top of that the whole unit was not "padded"...which translates to unpleasant vibration in the house (yes, the whole house). 2. "Bubbling" floors. You walk on a "cushion" in many areas of the house with manufactured hardwood. Maybe it's easy fix, maybe not if it requires floor disassembling. I have an "open ticket" with the flooring contractors to come and take a look. 3. Cheap bathroom fans. Very noisy...threw out existing ones and replaced them with $42 "Broan-NuTone QK60S" from Amazon. Takes 5 minutes to replace a fan. 4. Water heater stopped working after 10 days. Was fixed immediately by KHOV crew - THANK YOU!! ...some other minor things that aren't worth mentioning here, but definitely could've been easily addressed by the contractors during their "build process"...they knew that a towel hanger will collapse if done with a small sheetrock anchor...LOL Overall i am happy. The homes are beautiful but there is not a great attention to detail. I don’t think buying a home should feel like is you v them but that was the overall feeling I had. Very limited knowledge of the builders contract on the sales side and sloppy craftsmanship inside. It feels as if there is very limited quality control on both ends.

This was far the easiest and best home buying experience I ever had. Everyone throughout the process was helpful and kept us informed on everything that was happing.

I love my home layout, & it's perfect for my family! I worked with Diana together with my realtor & loan officer, it made the process easy with her help. Diana was very considerate because we moved out early from our apartment. Diana worked on giving us credits thru the company that made us happy to purchase & move in to our new home. The responsiveness of Diana was always on time. And when Diana, was not around, Josh, was very welcoming for us to see more properties to walk through, & to make our final decision. Overall, my family and I are very happy in buying this property...that it is now called, "Our New Home Sweet Home"! ... More

We have been looking at Villas in Frederick County for the past 2 years and this one provides us with the best bang for the money.

In and of themselves, KHovnanian is an exceptional company to do business with when considering purchasing a newly constructed home. That said, some of the tradesmen outside of the company that are involved in the construction leave quite a bit to be desired. Shoddy work caused us to have to contact Home Services numerous times within the first 6 weeks of moving into our new home which was frustrating. That said, KHov was incredibly responsive and corrected the issues in a timely fashion. We do recommend them as a builder, just watch the outside tradesman like a hawk if possible.

Overall the experience was great from the salesman to the KHOV account management. The only issue I have is the finishing details were rushed.

I was very disappointed in my experience with K Hovnanian homes. As a single mother, I chose K Hovnanian above other builders as I believed they had superior workmanship. During the building process, several issues arose, none of which were dealt with in a satisfactory manner. Each time I was pacified with a promise to look into the issues, then when I followed up several times later, I would be told that it was now too late in the process. Some examples were: - The kitchen Island was in the wrong location, 4 inches too close to the wall where the stove is located, when I asked for it to be moved, 2 inches was cut from the island base. - During the pre-cover meeting, I arrived at the house to find they had started to install the sheetrock and all the walls were half covered. - One of the electrical outlets in the master bedroom was in a location that when the bed is in place, the outlet is not accessible. I asked several times for it to be moved before the sheetrock was installed. After much pushing, another outlet was moved, but not the one I requested. When the electrician moved the other outlet, it brought the electrical work out of code, so the builder then refused to move the outlet I had requested. - During the pre-cover meeting I pointed out the sound proofing was missing from the master bedroom, the builder assured me it would be installed before they finished the sheetrock. When I followed up a few days later, the sound proofing had not been installed. I asked for the sheetrock to be removed, the builder didn't respond to my text. When I followed up again, he told me the walls were finished and they would not remove the sheetrock. Instead they drilled 32 holes in the master bedroom sheetrock and pushed the insulation through the holes. - Most of the internal doors in the home are damaged and cut too short, they are all approx. 2 inches from the floor, so when a light is on outside the rooms. The entire rooms are lit up, making it very difficult for my children to sleep. - Several of the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room cabinets are damaged. - The master bathroom Mirror is not level - The joins on the base boards are not level, each join sticks out and is very unsightly, I mentioned this several times during walk throughs and with the builders, they just agreed with me and never fixed it. - The grout between the tiles in the foyer, second bathroom floor and shower, kitchen, master bathroom floor and shower, hallway to bedroom four all have holes. When I raised this issue, I was told they would leave grout for me to fix it. They only left one grout color, so I cannot fix the bathrooms. - The glass in the front door allows water to leak into the foyer, each time it rains I have a puddle of water on the floor at the front door. - When it rains, one side of my house has a river on the grass, which holds the water for days afterwards. At the time I purchased my home, they were building 6 other homes. Perhaps the rush to get the homes completed within the allotted 150 days from the foundation being poured, was a contributing factor to the poor workmanship in my home. However, paying almost $500K for a home that I walk around and see sub-standard work, is very frustrating and extremely disappointing. ... More

Make sure your floor is level and out door paint is not mix matching in area you might not see it right away. Make sure carpeta don’t have nails sticking out an hurt your foot. Make sure outdoor electrical outlets are working or not cover by stucco.

The KHov team has been awesome to work with. They have been responsive to our few issues.

The process of buying the house was very smooth. Extremely Satisfied with the house. Visits to the design center were helpful in making our decisions as to what we wanted in our first house. Sales and Construction teams were on top of everything. They were able to update us about the status of the house even during the pandemic. Initial and final inspection were very thorough. Delivery timeline was accurate. The house came out just the way we wanted.

My experience with KHOV Mont Belvieu has been for the most part an positive experience. The sales person was amazing, by far the best part of this, the sales person really went above and beyond to make me feel appreciated. The finance team is very efficient, although I did have an issue with my Wind/Storm certificate making it over to my insurance company before closing. But the builder and the condition of my home was unacceptable. The floors of my home arrived late, like days before closing. Therefore I was having my home inspection while there was a ton of work still being done in my home. And when closing came my home had paint all on the wood floors, windows and window frame and shower rods fallen off in the bathroom, dead grass, marked up cabinets, etc. The closing should have been pushed back and the home needed at least an extra week of thorough work. A potential buyer should know that my experience was great! The team did a great job of answering all of my questions in a timely manner. Most buyers like myself have a lot of questions. Matthew in particular proved himself as a good communicator. He knew the answers to almost all of the questions I threw at him. Everyone worked together as team. The goal was to provide great service and a great product. Well done!

This is my first time buying an inventory home. I was sad that since it was fully built I could not go back and add or change out for things I wanted. Over all the home is well build. Builder is responsive to service call within the first month of moving in.

Bought the townhome in Union Park. The house is so well insulated we have not had the air conditioner on for several days in May. The customer service staff, account manager and construction supervisors have been fabulous to work with. They respond the same day to questions.

Our construction Manager, Anthony, is great! He's responsive and informative.

We financed with KHOV and the process from start to finish was very smooth.

I think that my home and the Wellington Subdivision is worth the price.
