Lot of issues with quality. 1) Water leakage within 4 days of house warming. 2) AC stopped working within 2 weeks. 3) Water stagnant on both Left and right sides of the home. 4) The response from the support and emergency teams is very bad. 5) Emergency team never answer the call. They call you after 2-3 days. 6) No response for emails too except the acknowledgement of the issue.

Not what I expected. House have lot of issues and the thing that they say it’s everything is normal. House floors and basement where dirty. Chip quartz’s at island. Baseboards dirty and not painted well. Kitchen doble oven was not installed correctly. Still waiting on the windows shutters haven’t being install and we have a month since we move in. 2 weeks to get our mailbox install. Not happy

This is our second KHov home purchase. The first was in Monterey Park in Gilroy, Ca. The quality there was much nicer. This one, we have holes around the outlets, many light switched are setting at an angle. The cabinets are very good quality. We are still picking up cigarette buttes and nails from our front and back yard. It took several tries to reach our service person. The seams for baseboards and door frames have very obvious gaps andWe miss the manual, as the online portal is not secure and we probably wont use it until that is fixed. The thermostats are not centrally located. Overall we are disappointed with the quality and the unfinished look of the home. Our sales person, John was very helpful in our purchase, we needed a quick move in and he delivered. We were very happy with his frankness and his quick responses and his willingness to help. I closed escrow on my new home 5/26. From the day I got the keys the house was not move-in ready. I trusted the builder to have completed the items needed to be fixed in the home visit new as I had purchased. However, not only were all the items not repaired but new issues arose and now seven weeks in the house I still have blue tape everywhere marking items that have not been resolved. From the cracked/split baseboards, AC upstairs blowing hot air, wood cracked on stairs, ceiling bubble throughout the kitchen to the garage door being hung incorrectly which caused the paint to scrape off to metal on both sides and the stucco outside cracked in several places. I’ve been extremely patient and reached out to over 17 members with the KHOV team Asking for assistance. At this point no one has taken ownership to make it right. I’m extremely disappointed in the build and finishes of the home given the price point. One would expect more from the builder as they pride themselves on quality. I’m ready to take further action if someone doesn’t take ownership and assist with my issues in a timely manner. Sales was amazing!! Design was great!!! Everything after that was awful. No one was on the same page, responsiveness was not timely at all nor was the care of the customer...who is funding the whole project! There was no way the customer could make any changes but if the builder made a change there was no communication regarding it to the customer. Builder was more loyal to contractors who had an extremely low level skill than they were for the customer.

We had some high expectations on our purchase of this home, but it was met with poor execution, poor supervision on the trade labor, and poor follow up to correct issues. This wasn't all bad, but if you are buying from this group, then make sure you have the ability to watch each step of the process closely as you will quickly get frustrated with the execution if it's not supervised properly. If executed correctly, it could be a wonderful home.

Salesman was horrible. Lied to us about many things and failed to offer us any options including lights. For the price we paid we expected a lot more out of the house. We moved in and the house has many flaws that still need to be fixed. The carelessness in building the house could have been dealt with if they took the time when building the house. We were told they focus on 3 houses at a time but that wasn't true.

We’ve been in this house 3 months. Poor quality workmanship. People are very nice but like I said the quality is not there. There are seams in carpet and the carpet does not ware well, walls are painted uneven and marks can be made so easily they use flat paint. When asked to fix these issues their response was, “that’s how it is in the model” but my bathroom was built differently than the model which threw me off when ordering storage. Been here 3 mo. So far the heating and cooling and appliances are fine.

Use very cheap material to build house. The construction Rep on site will lie to you every time you want them to remediate on something. always have some excuse on what things are wrong.

Since we purchased the house in April, we’ve had two broken windows and a broken door. Despite them claiming they were coming back right after settlement to fix it, they never showed up. We are now three months out and keep calling about these and they keep claiming they’re going to get to it and nothing ever happens.

My sales person and others on the selling side of things were great. My community service person is responsive and goes above and beyond, as have the construction managers, even if what was promised took a long time to make happen. The problem is that the quality of construction materials is below expectations for a home in the million dollar price range, and workmanship in general is poor. The attention to detail is lacking, especially in the finishing. From crooked outside windows with gaps in the framing around them to a shower that pools water because it wasn’t put in to drain correctly, I could go on. This builder cuts corners in every way. For example, no drawers in the guest bath, just the false fronts, just to name one. One reason I didn’t move in sooner was that I had the entire interior painted rather than put up with white paint that came off if I rubbed my hand over the wall. The builder representative handling service requests outside of the community representative is abrupt and rude and makes it clear he just doesn’t care. He won’t address concerns he doesn’t have to address, which includes “cosmetic” issues (I.e.,scratched, dinged cabinets) that are discovered more than 10 days past closing date, no matter when the homeowner actually moved into the home. I would never buy another home built by K Hovnanian, nor would I recommend this builder to anyone looking to buy a new home. ... More

This was the worst buying experience from the beginning to the end, the experience was a headache. The whole team from the sales people Erica, the building manager Joe were arrogant, dishonest, and rude. The house was falling apart soon as we moved in. No one seems to care about where things are placed or how things are done. Lots of errors, mistakes and break downs were found after moving in. Quality of the materials and labor used in building the house was very cheap. The overall experience was dissatisfying to us.

Your communication is the worst your customer service is terrible your craftsmanship for a &500k home is unacceptable

Quality of the finish work was not up to par for what I paid for the property. Very poor and sloppy I had a list of 38 items that needed to be fixed the day after I closed on my brand new home. I'm very thankful for my for my construction supervisor Gennaro who has continued to help resolve some of the issues. My sales representative Jackie was great as well

A very sad experience don’t get me wrong the home is nice but, would not say very nice. They cut corners just about everywhere, from the last home I bought in Texas these people didn't throw in a lot of the upgrades that the other home did for the price you paid. There were issues from the start with almost all involved. You could not pick out anything due to COVID and this day and age, everything is either late or on a timeline and all depends on when they get items in for your house. The quality of workmanship was poor if any of these sub-contractors worked for me, they would be out of a job, there is no accountability whatsoever for anything that's done incorrectly or poorly. There aren’t very good communications between all parties at all I felt like I was running around in circles with trying to figure out who needed what and who wanted information they didn't talk to each other from the sales office to corporate. At one point a Carmen was very rude to me in an email, and I called her out on it. Then when I asked to be put in contact with her supervisor, which I had to go through the sales office lady just to get the name of her supervisor, or someone that I should contact about her rudeness. I got some by the name of Kimmie who tried to smooth things over but was just a rude as the person I was calling to complain about no one wanted me to talk to a higher up person, not even the sales lady Devra would share information about higher up's names or telephone numbers. It was like secret information that nobody wanted to put out. One of the funniest things that I found is when the home was going through the framing stage, I asked about sprinklers in the front yard the sales office lady told me it was too late for sprinklers, while they hadn't even broke ground on the landscaping so how could it have been too late to choose sprinklers for your front yard. For the initial walk-through we must've went through about two roles of blue tape that's how poor workmanship and quality was. Even though the construction manager was there every day she did a decent job but every time I brought up subcontractors, he just shook his head and said I know. He worked pretty hard on getting the first set of blue tape items completed, we still have quite a few on our cabinets need to be taken care of. Now thank goodness I had a home inspector general walk-through prior to me buying the house there was several things he found. A couple of big items were in the roof the flashing on a portion of the roof left a big gap that you could see inside the attic and from inside the attic outside. It seemed like nobody followed up and did their inspections like they should have when they were putting the roof on. It actually rained all the flashing was missing causing some of the water to get in the attic. Thank God I stayed persistent on them so they could get it fixed if I didn't it probably never would've gotten fixed. They have even painted our shutters on the outside of her home the wrong colors, if I went to said anything to the sales office, they probably would've left them the wrong color. I wonder if anybody was even looking at the plans when it came time to build in the home. They said they're going to fix them; we'll see how long that takes. I can go on and on about issues, from the dying grass, to how they laid the sod, and buried pieces of metal and debris underneath the lawn. There's so many to list it just would take forever. They want to nickel and dime you for everything heart of the gutter in the front yard leaks into the landscaping the landscapers should've booted up the drainpipes to fit the downspout so it will leak out they wanted to charge me $180 for a little piece of metal to divert the water into the gutter. Why should I have to pay hundred and $180 to fix their mistake. The heater didn't work in the house, and they can figure out why, I haven't had to use it yet, but they say it's been fixed will soon find out. I did actually have a leak in my garage, and it was running down the inside of the sheet rock again another piece of flashing that had not worked or that they missed. Now I'm waiting for them to come out and tear the wet sheet rock down and replace it in my garage. But to them it's not a rush job it's whenever they get around to it or the sheet rockers can be in the neighborhood. Even though the construction manager tries to communicate he still doesn't know when subcontractors is can be there to fix things, no accountability again his appointment should be made met and kept and they should be held accountable if they miss their appointment. If you're going to schedule something they need to be there. They should be delaying on getting wet sheet rock removed and new sheet rock up. Again, the construction manager did a good job of trying to get things done, he kept telling me that his pay depended on how I rated him, Nomo I think is really trying to get things done and do a professional job but is being held up by others involved. There was this person name Cary who when I first met thought would be a great person that would be helping with a lot of items, he was Nomo's boss, but I guess he failed also he's just as bad as the rest no accountability and not a very pushy person to wanting to get things done in a timely fashion. That's one thing that I noticed none of these people are a big hurry to get things done for you as a customer when you spend this much money on a home. Again, I feel that they cut corners just about everywhere. I'm sure within the year I'll find more issues, now I understand homes have issues, but it seemed like every time I turn around there's something else. I highly doubt it, but I hope that management reaches out to me, they need to hear about the people that are building their homes, selling their homes, and working with you as a customer to closure home. Through out process poor communication lack of updates. Repeated delays. Port quality workmanship. Cement problems, plumbing problems, siding problems, trim problems, paint and drywall problems floor problems, the list goes on. Everywhere I look something isn’t right. Disappointing. Frustrating. Now faced with being home for multiple appointments to correct what should have been identified prior to close! The only pleasant process was the mortgage process. Ben and Pete were communicative knowledgeable and available.

Our home closed on 4/29/2022. However, there are a lot of things haven’t completed. Your site manager pushed us to close the house and promised to fix all of them in couple of days. Unfortunately, there is not too much has done in the month.

Zero craftsmanship, we have a big punch list of items that they haven’t fixed yet. their craftsmanship is really poor. they don’t reply to any of your emails. just a bad deal for your $$$

Most of the work in the house seems like they hired anyone off the street to do it. Crooked walls, paint splattered all over floors and stairs. Gaps in baseboard. Gaps in flooring. Wrong flooring added in a closet so they could “be finished to closed.” Dishwasher not properly installed so it rocks. House wasn’t power washed before closing so all the siding is covered in dirt. For buying our first home and being excited it was a poor experience. 30 days in and all they have fixed was a crack in one of the tubs. Wouldn’t buy a house from Khov again.

I experience several major issues throughout the build process. From lengthy delays due to the pandemic, which I do not blame the builder for, to shoddy work, laborers who don't seem to care about their work or the end result, to improper insulation of exterior walls, to home buyer having to point out multiple issues that builder ignored, to delays in getting corrections made, etc. The entire experience was less that ideal, and now after having taken delivery 2 months ago, I am still dealing with issues that were not corrected during final walkthrough.

Builder needs to step up the game at higher standards, they just promise and under deliver. We bought homes from your competitiors Lennar, Toll, Dr Horton, I never had bad experience as I got from your builder. Worst experience overall... sales folks are nice but Project management team for delivering house on time is really bad!!

We had a very honest and helpful agent which led us into purchasing this property. The closing and walk thru of this home was/is a nightmare. The mortgage team was deceptive and not there to help the buyer, we were promised a deal and had to argue and lost regardless of the evidence provided regarding his mistake. The superintendent wanted to argue major architectural flaws in the home, stating that regardless of our concerns he "can't and won't change it because of time". It ended up being done! After we closed, we have had a variety of issues with the home, such as a sink leak where the customer service representative refused until forced, to remove the dishwasher where the wall was notibly wet, because he assured us it was dry. Trying to have that properly addressed was a nightmare, having the wrong appliances installed was highly ranked up there with still no resolve. So, no we would never do it again. The craftsmanship is thd lowest I have ever seen and if things were monitored as our house was built than the buyer wouldn't have remorse moving into their finished product. ... More
