I would never recommend this firm to anyone as they are the worst builder I have ever worked with.

Your company took advantage of a veteran wrote experience all the way through.

Closing was not very smooth, lot of dates shared to us for the closing. But finally it was been like the customer myself have to discuss with Town for getting the occupancy certificate. After moving initial issues fixed through warranty team. But after that seeing a critical issue in the end unit where cold air getting pushed from outside, working with warranty and other senior managers team finally they are asking to read pages and pages of document saying all build as expected. Since we decided to buy this condo, it had been a nightmare to us. The homeowner warranty is a joke. We have 3 times carbon monoxide leaked due to HAVC. Every time we had to evacuate us, call 911, turned off the heat, and spend our time to call out from work and wait for they came to fixed. Even the hotel reimbursement, it took them a month (originally they told me 2-3 months) to give us the reimburse. I have to spend my time to constantly contact with them, the home warranty director, most of time I didn’t get the response. I also requested to change a brand new HAVC, because they admitted they installed incorrectly caused carbon monoxide leaked, and their home warranty manager said no. How rediculous it is. Their mistake could kill us, and k. Hovnanian home warranty won’t give us a new HAVC reimburse. So far, we still constantly hear pipes rattling sound between walls. Poor Construction Quality & Slow in Resolving issues. I will not recommend any of my friends to buy the property with khovnanian homes.

all house outside fill with cracks now inside start cracking ever where i have cabinet doors with no handle I Coll and the guy answer my questions. said that is now Moda of the tortosa community no handle on the cabinets.

Overall the construction process lacked independent quality control. Warrenty manager is trying to respond but does not have any staff hence no schedule of completion existed or provided. The local head of sales and construction lack courtesy to return calls and has been non-responsive. The house was not prepared at the closing and major Items of punch list at walk-thru provided prior to closing is still outstanding after 90-days we are in the house. I provided ample opportunity to them to complete the list but no luck. Cabinets in the kitchen are falling apart and not soft closing. Cabinets below the main counter has loose parts and no one can answer from KHOV when they will be corrected. Windows are below norm. One window is different than all others. Bugs are crawling from the window gaps such that we have to purchase an indoor bug-zapper that runs whole night. My wife and I are Seniors past 70 Yrs and did not expect such treatment from any builder. We have kept enough patience and I hope you send this review to a right individuals at KHOV that can help us soon by expediting the resolution of our problems. I was presented with the wrong community contract. I was told that I would be charged fees in addition to earnest money deposit if I backed out of the deal. I closed in September 2022 and at this time (January 5, 2023) I still don’t have two mirrors.

From the buying to moving in process, the "dream" that is sold is opposite of the reality. The realtors are fantastic, but their hands are tied because they are slave to construction. The construction managers are great, but they tell you what you want to hear, and are slave to the trades. The quality and workmanship that is sold, based on the model, is opposite of what the final product of the home actually is. For a $500,000+ home, the quality and workmanship is near half. And, the time frame given for move-in is grossly underestimated. Since moving in, less than 3 months ago, I have had a massive plumbing leak that will, when said and done, have taken close to two months to resolve, my heat has stopped working, my brand-new dishwasher broke, 4 doorhandles have fallen off, and the trim/paint in the house is still appallingly below acceptable level. This is not a dream home and the top end of my budget, but a money pit that has hogged up my mental, physical, and emotional health. Am I being overly dramatic? Ask anyone else in my neighborhood!!!! If you’re looking in a residential development and see a K Hovnanian model just skip it and go to either the competition or to another neighborhood. The quality of workmanship is abysmal. Everyone involved will assure you that your home will be ready for your closing date and then drop the news on you the day before that it won’t be ready but that they will have everything done in a few days. It won’t be ready. It will drag on for weeks and months. The moment they get paid all urgency is gone. You’re no longer a priority. Your home isn’t a priority. The people doing the work are trash. Unprofessionalism in the sales office. Read review on your webpage. Poor quality with interior fixtures, they put the cheapest products in this house!

Besides the building part of our home, we had emails ignored by the sales representative, we definitely feel like we were lied to about progress materials sat in home for weeks on end with no one working on it. Once we signed it was like we didn't matter anymore. There were 4 different build supers that got replaced during the build. Bad workmanship and complete mismanagement. Usually someone worked on our home 1-2 days a week a times. Our closing day when we signed all the documents, we didn't even get keys to the home. The woman was not very professional. Seemed like she did not like her job. We would like someone in the upper management to reply or respond to address our experience so this can be fixed so no one else needs to go through what we endured. ... More

In general, our experience has been awful. Settlement was delayed six times, and six weeks following settlement, items identified during orientation inspection have not been completed despite multiple promises to do so.

I would not recommend K.Hov. They make promises that aren't delivered and the quality of workmanship is lacking. We waited 16 months for a cookie cutter home that should have taken 4 months. The quality of work was beyond disappointing. Even after closing, there are many punch list items that have not been delivered.

Excuses, excuses, excuses; we admired how Mr. Hovnanian achieved the American dream. We trusted your word. Signed closing documents on October 4, even though work was incomplete trusting what the Hovnanian brand stands for. Today it’s Nov 2, you should see the pictures and read the excuses as to why my home isn’t ready for occupancy.

I should never close on my house before they fixed all the problems that we had with the house. My house looks like s. They put dry grass on it and promised me they’ll replaced. I’d closed on my house and more than 30 days ago and I haven’t moved in they just fixed half way. I’ll get a painter my self to fixed probably. Disappointed is my status

I was treated like I was intruder when my house was getting built I was told to leave or he will call the police on me and my wife poor way to treat people and with my repairs not getting done because they saying there is nothing wrong .crack concrete stain and poor repairs on a back patio I pay 14000 dollars to have poor cuality not very happy I will let you know is a good house but the people working on a construction at garden glen are poor mind people that they only looking at production and not quality and customer service to satisfy your buyers or home owners. Super nice upon first meeting. Was told we had 24 hours to decide on lot w/o a deposit. Called 20 mins after visit to set up earnest and was told the lot we chose was “sold”. Sales person Heather G was always “out”, stopped doing the weekly follow up calls as promised, hardly responded to texts. Lied about various parts of building process instead of just saying she didn’t know the answer. We had 4 general contractors during the entire process. Eric T was amazing!. Did all he said he would do and then some. He was responsive and caring! If it weren’t for him we would have walked away from the house completely! The quality of the home for the money paid is crap! The trades don’t pay attention to detail. The “upgrades” aren’t really upgrades and I’m constantly filing warranty claims, been in the house for a month. I will never buy a K Hovanian home again! ... If you use KHov, make sure you buy a home that's already built / that you can see the workmanship. They "churned and burned" our home and didn't even completely finish it before moving on. Such a terrible experience with this builder, I would never use them again in a million years.

This is the second home I've built new through a national builder. No builder is perfect and every new build will have their issues. But, what started with great promise, ended with multiple settlement (non-Covid) delays, poor construction, and even worse quality control. Every builder is struggling with labor and supply shortages, but this development suffered from poor project management and ZERO acknowledgement of shortcomings from any senior management at KHOV. They should be ashamed how they treat customers. If you're considering purchasing a home from this builder, run, don't walk.

Buying a home from a tract home builder is always a struggle

Will tell you all sorts of lies just to get you to buy their house. Most options are not available because they never were in the first place. Will harass you after the home has been built, even if your not in an HOA. Workmanship is average if not poor in some cases. Will let certain people get special treatment and not work with others. If you have your own lender they will keep messing with them. We literally signed our closing papers at a coffee shop outside at 7:00 at night.
