Overall home buying experience was great including , sales, contractor and K Hovnanian mortgage/ loan officer were all easy to work with and very responsive to my questions. I am happy with the design and quality of my home. I would recommend K Hovnanian to family and friends.

Pros: It was a pretty smooth process as the build was already taking place when we acquired the property. They worked with us in changing the floor coloring when the original floors were delayed by weeks. They also have been amazing with helping us resolve issues with the home that comes with every new build. Our project a manager, Alex, was absolutely amazing and I couldn’t have asked for someone better to work alongside of us. Cons: We were not able to adjust any colors due to the build pressure being developed even thought it was only at the framing stage. Also the build was left on the MLS and dropped 10k after we signed out papers. We asked for our agreement to be changed to represent that 10k decrease in price and the sales/realtor person for K. Hovan homes refused to do so. He blamed it on someone at cooperate. However, when I called cooperate about this they explained to me that it is up to the realtor of that area to remove properties from the MLS and we should be able to have our agreement altered. The relator still refused to do so. He also had stated when we looked at the model home he would be able to cover closing cost and this was NOT something the did. He only gave 3k towards closing cost and the finance company could not understand how we had to do our home, since we still owned our previous home and was doing a land contract agreement for it. This resulted in not receiving the additional closing cost discount. They refused to listen to how it had to be done. The build side was fantastic the buying portion was a dread. ... More

Robert and Carolyn made building a new home very smooth and easy. I couldn't believe how stress-free the process was. They answered every question and kept in touch throughout the entire process. Even living states away I had peace and knew I was in great hands....I highly recommend working with them.

This is our 3rd New Construction Home and KHov by far has been the one where results are what was expected but more importantly they respond when problems arise with any items that need to be addressed and that is more important than anything else. Many builders your rockstar when you are buying and then dead to them after closing. KHov continued to treat us with the same attention that we saw before we purchased. The quality so far is great and the house looks fabulous.

Too many issues with poor quality of workmanship & materials for a new home in this price range.

For the most part, I am very satisfied with my new K Hovnanian home. There has been multiple changes with the construction supervisor during the building process. I moved into my home the beginning of November and have still not been contacted regarding my 30 day “list of concerns “. This may be due to yet another change in personnel and the ball was dropped. My construction supervisors were great to work with as the house was built but now I am not sure how to resolve the current issues with my home. I have already spent my own money fixing a sump pump that would not turn off, a garage door that literally jumped off the track (the contact info for the installer was indicated on a sticker), they would not return my phone call. We bought house in tanager community and quality of fixtures and construction is below grade and options available are pretty bad and one of the sales rep did not have clue with options and other rep Sylvia and Construction manager Tom were very good and helpful.

I was initially verbally induced into signing a contract by the salesperson who told me the whole house had blinds. At the final walkthrough I was told there were none and the sales person said she was wrong and I should have read the contract. I had to threaten not to close and refuse to sign the document stating there were no verbal inducements to get the blinds. Home issues: there is no portal to submit warranty issues, only the email address for a construction manager who does not respond unless the matter is escalated. I have been waiting months to have the grading and my lawn fixed. My dishwasher was never properly installed and the smell of gas is extreme every time the oven is turned on. There is no way to track these warranty submissions since they are just emails that get ignored. When they aren’t ignored, someone comes out, looks at the issue and then doesn’t follow up until I send repeated emails. This is my third new construction home and by far the worst experience. ... We are carry happy with the mortgage rate - insurance and quality of the home including location.

We have been looking for a 3-2 Split and this model is a 4-2 Split with some nice features. The price point was right, and it was located in our target area, so it checked all the boxes!

Colby was amazing and buying our first home was amazing!

I would look elsewhere before purchasing a Khovnanian home just head the warning, you will end up being disappointed.. this is not my first build either. Good luck

Overall I had a great experience with getting my new beautiful home. My husband and I didn’t come across this site until the very last homes were being built, so we didn’t get to pick out all of the details of the home. That really didn’t matter though because the attention to detail in the home is amazing. We had looked at homes by another builder and they really didn’t compare. The other builder was around the same price, but with very basic features. I love the quality of everything in my home. It really is my dream home and I am so happy it all worked out. From the initial meeting with Lisa at the sales office through the entire build process, finance process with Phil, and the exceptional communication from the site foreman Carlos, this has truly been the best purchase and the best company to work with. Design, interior touches, quality of the build, are outstanding and it has been an absolute pleasure throughout the process to work with the KHOV team. Aftercare once we moved in, has been incredibly well handled and extremely responsive. We highly recommend KHOV to anyone considering building or buying a new home in the area.

Overall a positive experience

I am pleased with my condo but struggling getting used to that kind of living. My sales person was not in the right job but the fiance people were great and the warranty guy is very helpful. I would only caution to asking detailed questions for complete understanding of expectations. Finishes in condo are standard.

I felt any additional upgrades was very expensive than current in the market. Example first floor Recess Light we added the KHOV package and it cost me $3670 and outside I finished second floor in $1100. You should offer competitive charges rather way expensive as your home buyer. Also , We found cracks in kitchen and upstairs. Overall home buyer experience was nice.

I have bought the house in Oct/24. Dennis sale man is very helpful, he sent a constructed update weekly, very quick response. Construction manager is also very helpful. Any question you asked have beed answerred very quick. The house is very nice and luxury design. Material is also with accepted quality.
