Experience was fairly positive throughout the Home buying process.

Great attention to detail and response to inquiries.

Nesha and Mathew were fantastic to work with, very attentive, responsive and understanding when issue arose. In fact all the people I had the opportunity to interact with have been extremely professional, friendly and attentive.

Good materials choice to built the house

The sales team were wonderful to work with and were very responsive through the sales process. However, the options offered by K. Hovnanian were far below industry standards. For example: it was extra for the electric garage door opener, it was extra for the man door in the garage, it was an extra for the 220 in the laundry room (we received it only after we demanded to get it put in) and it was extra for ceiling fans. All of the items listed were included as not an extra in our last two new home purchases, and were included in other models we toured. Additionally, we had to find the paint colors and obtain touch up paint as it was not included in our package. That is unheard of! The follow up from the warrantee and construction team is very poor. We have had to paint areas that we pointed out in our punch walk and there is still blue tape on other areas that has never been followed up on since. I am in the Construction industry, and with the exception of your sales force, we have found the design, construction and warrantee teams performance below standard when compared to others. ... More

Every staff at Khov I interacted with made me feel relaxed and made the buying process easy without unnecessary stress, every question I had was answered, documentation wasn’t a headache, and still had access to the team even after closing. I’d recommend Khovnanian always to anyone who wants to buy a home.

K. Hovnanian Homes are very nice homes, and Standford Park is a lovely area, near highway 75. As for the construction of the home, the builder and sales person's do a great job keeping you informed on the progress of the build. This was my second home purchase, and the KHOV team was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They answered every question i had truthfully and in a timely manner. What i wish i could have gotten is (1.) a bigger garage, 20' deep garages are not designed for the Texas truck driver. My full size truck will not fit in my garage, this leaves it open to the Texas weather. (2.)Also the options although good are somewhat limited, I understand the concerns of the seller, to not personalize the home before all the paperwork is signed, but there should be a few more interior and exterior options that can be added during the build, and not left to the buyer to do once the home is complete. (3.) and this is truly personal, is that the 14'x18' upstairs living area, is truly not 14'x18' when you include the stairway. Overall, i am very happy with my new home, and the neighborhood. and so far, the few concerns i have had have been promptly handled, and in a very professional manner. ... More

The drywall finishing and tile installation is very disappointing and after one month, neither have been resolved.

I love my new home in Cornerstone Farms. I am especially thankful for Keith Obran who is the project manager. I had many questions along the way during the construction process and he was extremely attentive and handled all of my questions and any issues that I had of concern. Keith made my building experience an incredibly happy one.

Great experience from beginning to end

All was fine with the exception of I did not have the full option and buy into options like lighting and choice of fixtures, etc. I lost both my sales person and builder half way through the project so I felt lost. Never the less I must say Carl did an excellent job in seeing me through the completion of the project. Everything else is nothing to talk about.

there were some little things that came after we moved in. some imperfection here and there. otherwise love it. Will was a great deal of help. always given us updates on the progress of our home. in the beginning there were some misleading information on what was included in the 50% off on upgrades so it put us somewhat over our budget. We didn't want as high of a payment. So if we would have known that the upgrades didn't include the structure we would have add as much. plus in the package before we went to the design part took the 50% off right away. this was explained to us. So we were under the assumption that it was all upgrades. We wouldn't have add as much on the structural part of the build. We love the home and would have it any other way just wish we were better informed. ... More

For the most part, we are very happy with our new K. Hovnanian home (so far). We had some minor repair issues that were addressed in a timely manner once I contacted the warranty service team. They were really good and responded very quickly. Overall, the workmanship was very good although I wish that full plywood sheathing should have been done all the way around the house, not just the front and back. My only other slight disappointment is the kitchen appliances that came standard with the house. K. Hovnanian could have put some that are slightly better. We plan to upgrade them in the next couple of years. Our experience with our salesperson Karen was awesome! She's the best! She was extremely helpful and always answered all our questions or got the answer for us if she did not know. She was very professional and always friendly. Thank you Karen! ... More

The home seems built well, but during the sales process, the sales agent was horrible about getting back to us with answers to questions or when we needed to make changes. The home seems to be built well, and through the process the construction manager was pretty good. But we've had a couple issues (mostly completely dead sod and plants right at settlement) and these things still aren't resolved. I keep getting told they'll be done, but it's been over a month and nothing has been done. Followed up a few times and I just get long winded explanations and excuses.

Overall, we are satisfied with our new house. However, I feel that our concerns were not heard throughout the building process. Once our house was complete, there were multiple issues that still have not been fixed because we were passed on to the service department. It feels that as soon as we signed the final documents, the customer service went away.

The sales staff and construction staff are top notch. Friendly, responsive and have a true interest in wanting you to love your new home. Look, issues happen. It's how your builder responds and corrects problems that is key. They get resolved quickly and even post sale the warranty department has never said no to an issue. They want you happy.

Helpful team and customizable floor plans make K. Hovnanian homes stand out from other builders.

It was a great experience! We had heard concerns about building a home but they made it an easy process. We are so happy with the results!
