We have so many issues with this home. From the beginning with windows in the wrong place to the island in the wrong place and outlets/fire alarms being buried behind drywall after move in! What a horrible experience this has been. We had our bathroom tiled 2x (7k upgrade) not up to standard still! Backsplash tiled 2x still have issues. Upgraded cabinets chipped and scratched due to not being covered. Workers coming in to fix stuff get our carpets dirty every time. Leak in master spa the first night we moved in, leaked into our downstairs on to our hardwood floors! We could go on and on and after talking to neighbors in the complex sounds like this is the norm! This builder cuts corners and uses the cheapest subcontractors. It shows in the finished product. Plastic push-pull shut-off valves? C'mon, that's substandard. We also have gaps in recessed lighting and cabinets and poorly hung doors. Even our A/C unit was installed incorrectly.

I’ve had a great experience with KHov since the buying process and months after closing. They’ve been helpful and prompt in addressing minor issues I’ve experienced. I highly recommend KHov.

From the sales office to the builder, our experience was awesome. We couldn’t be happier with the quality of work that was done to build our dream home. Our builder and sales representative was always in communication and able to answer any questions we had during the building experience. My wife and I would highly recommend Khov for your future home.

I had a great experience building my home with Khov. Matt was very attentive and fixed any issues I saw immediately. I’ve been living in my home over a month and have no complaints. Quality seems to be great! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of the mortgage team. I was not impressed and would never get my loan through them again.

Everything was great

Nice people to work with. High priced for decent quality. Didn’t love the buying process and definitely wasn’t a fan of the in house loan officer.

The entire process extremely pleasant. Carla and Josh in the sales office were very helpful and informative.

Pricey, pushy sales people, but great overall product in the end.

Our construction manager Carl has been amazing from the start. From the home orientation tour to addressing any issues after closing, Carl has been helpful and very responsiveness to any issues or concerns we had. If I ever bought another K. Hovnanian home again, I would want Carl as our construction manager.

Saleslady failed to tell us that $17,000 solar panels, through K hovnanian's 3rd party, were not part of the purchase price even though California law mandates all new builds in 2019 to have solar panels. We are from out-of-state and did not know this , Only after negotiations on a purchase price did I discover on our purchase contract that we were mandated to buy solar panels. I brought this to her attention that our price of our home would be going up $17,000 after we agreed upon a price and her response was that she forgot to tell us. Moreover she straight-up lied to us that the two story home behind us had windows on the top floor that we're not bedroom windows but rather vaulted ceiling windows and that she personally talked to the homeowner. Thankfully we had a real estate agent to deal with her on more than one occasion. Also know once they have your money and have given you a one-year fit and finish warranty they fail to show up to fix anything in a timely manner. I waited more than two weeks and three completely missed appointments in which I had to wait around for 8 total hours to finally get a window replaced. I also am still currently waiting two weeks for a leaky sprinkler system to have it fixed after several missed appointments again. There are other cosmetic issues wrong with the home but I'm just going to live with them because my time is more important. If you are going to buy a home with these shysters, make sure you have a real estate agent and you get a home inspector for your walkthroughs to make sure that they are handled before you move in. I would highly recommend the purchase of a home from KHOVNANIAN. They are an outstanding builder that builds a quality product and the entire process is simple which is rare in a new home purchase!

Love my home

I must express gratitude on behalf of my family for all the assistance given to us in purchasing our new K. Hovnanian Home. Our sales representative Sylvia and Project Manager Robert were thorough professional and went out of their way to make our experience great. They were prompt, attentive and very very helpful throughout the process. Our home loan processors were fantastic as well. I was bit disappointed that we had to pay higher mortgage rate than market. The process of homeloan should be more competitive and the incentives given should not be used as a leverage to charge higher interest rates. I hope this helps. ... More
