After hearing some of the horror stories with the competing builders I am glad we chose this builder. There will alway be minor issues and Mark Curtis does a great job responding and getting issues resolved.

Great service

At the beginning the buying process was normal until our salesman ( who is no longer employed ) started lying and giving us the run around. After the home was completed and during the final walk through we hired an independent inspector and he found numerous issues with the home and some were even code violations. None of these issues only a few of these items have been addressed but none of the code violations have. At this point I have been advised to contact the Registers of Contractors (ROC) to help us get these issues addressed and fixed. I wish that it would not have to come to this but your company’s unwillingness to fix these problems has finally reached a point that I no longer have any other avenues. ... More

House is great but add on smart package and you aren’t being smart. A total waste of money and time spent in having to chase what you paid for. Months later and still not working nor complete with no estimated completion date given. I would suggest if you want a smart home you do it through an outside party. After care is hit and miss. Twice we have waited home for our punch list items to be completed with no shows. Totally disorganized and very disappointing.

figure out what options you need and want

My first KHOV Home. I am amazed at all little extra details that was built into the home for price I paid. I looked at several different builders and KHOV beat all of them. Higher quality light fixtures, hardware fixtures, plumbing products etc. every aspect of this home is higher quality builders grade than any other house I looked at. What comes standard on a KHOV home is an upgrade to other builders. Whole buying process blew me away from moment I met Joel till day I closed and drove up to my new home with all lights turned on made me feel special. Landscaping outside had leftover stone around flower beds, the garage door opener is Bluetooth. The key lock is a smart key. Plywood for emergency situations. Upgraded appliances are upgraded. Dishwasher cannot even hear it. Massive gas cooktop etc. beveled glass. Decorative backsplash etc etc. The landscape has more expensive trees, shrubs etc!! I did my homework and like I said looked at several builders. All my extras was standard. I just bought little above 250 house. KHOV houses are bigger and more upgrades to other builders just in same neighborhood. Guess why other builders homes are still sitting. KHOV is like a family to me. No matter whom I reached out to they are all committed to 100% satisfaction!! (Common sense means). Do not take my word for it. Go look at a KHOV then go look at other builders and notice all small detailing then make your decision. I tell everyone what a great deal I got!! Good service

Rude and inexperienced staff upto the level of VP constructions who sits in Roseville office. House was not move in ready even after closing.

I’ve purchased a KHov home before and the quality assurance on workmanship was lacking in comparison to my first home. Nevertheless, I’d buy another KHov home but I’d just micro-check everything.

Avoid this builder

Honest review from homeowner of 3 new homes. Terrible management that filters down to terrible employees. Home builder begs for 10’s on his reviews just to get a bonus but delivers a “1” rated home. Time for an employee cleaning to weed out the garbage and laziness especially in the Maryland division. All the way from the lying sorry salespeople to the useless inattentive builder. Can’t forget the useless and careless lower and upper management.

poor quality are materials the homes . l do not like the quality of the stuff, I have been unable to use the oven because when I turn it on, it releases a lot of gas immediately. This is a hazard. l sent a message to the building manager and he ask me to call GE. The master suite is tiny , l wish it was bigger because there is a lot of yard space.

Heather in sales is great! She is always professional, goes over and beyond to provide guidance. The communication, responsiveness of others has lacked. It seems like a lot of turnover. Were hopeful this improves with the new team on board. The construction vendors leave a huge mess with little to no clean up around us. Most recently, I had to clean up an entire shower panel of glass that a vendor broke in the street, glass was everywhere including street, sidewalk and grass. We reported it immediately as it was a safety hazard for adults, children, animals and cars. No one ever came. I finally had to flag down the manager a couple of days later in the neighborhood to show him the area of concern. He picked up the trim that was still left outside, but no other action was taken. With our HOA fees being extremely high with an additional $700 fee for a private road, this would be an area of growth for the company. ... More

Do not ask me to do this again. There is nothing inappropriate in my review. You don't want to put it on website because of the horrible experience we have endured. No one has contacted us to see what went wrong and there is a lot!!
