K. Hovnanian® Homes Reviews

The loan processing was extraordinary.. But the final walkthrough of the house before closing was not upto the mark... all the issue pointed put during first walk through were not corrected and what was found was the blue tape was just removed and when finally asked they suggested we raise. Maintenance request to complete the issues.. which was not expected..construction supervisor need to take care of these issues for these issues for a better experience to new home owners

The property was turned over to me with outside water drainage problems. I am not happy.

Comfortable, everyone has been extremely responsive to our issues, thou they were few.

Easy to work with, good design, responsive team

My house turned out great. I hired a private inspector and only minor cosmetic issues were reported. Carlos frequently updated me with the progress of the construction and was very informative. I'm grateful for his advises. Jacob was very responsive to service requests after closing of the home. My only issue was with the loan officers. I don't know if this is normal but the final closing amount was not provided to me until the day before closing and that resulted payment not received on time.

I called to see if it was possible to reschedule it but no one got ever back to me and I almost had to rush back from work

Good product, meets all my needs at this point in my life

This is my first home with K. Hovnanian. I am very pleased with the entire experience from beginning to end. Excellent customer service and quality. Thank you!!!

Great design - energy efficient - nice neighborhood. Everything we were looking for in a new home.

The sales team and construction were great and responsive.

Everything was smooth from start to finish

Very helpful, attentive

We have so many issues with this home. From the beginning with windows in the wrong place to the island in the wrong place and outlets/fire alarms being buried behind drywall after move in! What a horrible experience this has been. We had our bathroom tiled 2x (7k upgrade) not up to standard still! Backsplash tiled 2x still have issues. Upgraded cabinets chipped and scratched due to not being covered. Workers coming in to fix stuff get our carpets dirty every time. Leak in master spa the first night we moved in, leaked into our downstairs on to our hardwood floors! We could go on and on and after talking to neighbors in the complex sounds like this is the norm! Unbelievable this house was $700 and this is what you have to deal with. I will NOT recommend Khov houses to anyone!!! ... More

This builder cuts corners and uses the cheapest subcontractors. It shows in the finished product. Plastic push-pull shut-off valves? C'mon, that's substandard. We also have gaps in recessed lighting and cabinets and poorly hung doors. Even our A/C unit was installed incorrectly.

I’ve had a great experience with KHov since the buying process and months after closing. They’ve been helpful and prompt in addressing minor issues I’ve experienced. I highly recommend KHov.

From the sales office to the builder, our experience was awesome. We couldn’t be happier with the quality of work that was done to build our dream home. Our builder and sales representative was always in communication and able to answer any questions we had during the building experience. My wife and I would highly recommend Khov for your future home.

I had a great experience building my home with Khov. Matt was very attentive and fixed any issues I saw immediately. I’ve been living in my home over a month and have no complaints. Quality seems to be great! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of the mortgage team. I was not impressed and would never get my loan through them again.

Everything was great

Nice people to work with. High priced for decent quality. Didn’t love the buying process and definitely wasn’t a fan of the in house loan officer.

The entire process extremely pleasant. Carla and Josh in the sales office were very helpful and informative.

Pricey, pushy sales people, but great overall product in the end.

Our construction manager Carl has been amazing from the start. From the home orientation tour to addressing any issues after closing, Carl has been helpful and very responsiveness to any issues or concerns we had. If I ever bought another K. Hovnanian home again, I would want Carl as our construction manager.

Saleslady failed to tell us that $17,000 solar panels, through K hovnanian's 3rd party, were not part of the purchase price even though California law mandates all new builds in 2019 to have solar panels. We are from out-of-state and did not know this , Only after negotiations on a purchase price did I discover on our purchase contract that we were mandated to buy solar panels. I brought this to her attention that our price of our home would be going up $17,000 after we agreed upon a price and her response was that she forgot to tell us. Moreover she straight-up lied to us that the two story home behind us had windows on the top floor that we're not bedroom windows but rather vaulted ceiling windows and that she personally talked to the homeowner. Thankfully we had a real estate agent to deal with her on more than one occasion. Also know once they have your money and have given you a one-year fit and finish warranty they fail to show up to fix anything in a timely manner. I waited more than two weeks and three completely missed appointments in which I had to wait around for 8 total hours to finally get a window replaced. I also am still currently waiting two weeks for a leaky sprinkler system to have it fixed after several missed appointments again. There are other cosmetic issues wrong with the home but I'm just going to live with them because my time is more important. If you are going to buy a home with these shysters, make sure you have a real estate agent and you get a home inspector for your walkthroughs to make sure that they are handled before you move in. Otherwise steer clear of K hovnanian. ... More

Friendly and helpful

Was disappointed with texture and paint quality. Very happy with rest of construction.
