Very supportive home buying experience. Kept us informed on the progress through out the building of the home. There was however mis communication between the HOA and builder. Mis communications between local builder and main company and mortgage side on when the home would be completed. There were weather delays. There is an upcoming supplemental property tax which was not adequately communicated to us. The notary told us on closing.

Nice finishes and upgrades for the price, however almost every doorframe and wall is not level. We also had issues with the quality of the sod that was installed prior to closing and have had to fight for months with the warranty division to have this resolved when we were promised it would be addressed if we had continued issues.

I purchased a home through K Hov at Liberty Hill Farms and couldn’t be happier! Beautiful home, high quality, and responsiveness during the quick building phase.

We recently moved into our new home at The Ranch in Rancho Cordova and couldn't be happier with the overall experience. The K. Hovnanian team was great to work with from start to finish, they were always available to answer our questions and kept us in the loop throughout the building process. The quality of the home and the attention to detail really impressed us. What really stands out, though, is the homeowner service team. Even after we moved in, they've been super responsive whenever we've needed anything. It's nice to know that the support doesn't stop once you get the keys. We'd definitely recommend K. Home buying experience was excellent, from start to finish! Process was always made very clear, the team was always available and responsive to questions. Walk throughs were thorough and we did not feel rushed through. The quality and workmanship of our home is absolutely beautiful - even our 3rd party inspector commented on the quality of the finishing of our home. Any small concerns were addressed immediately - would 100% recommend KHov to other families, we couldn’t be happier with our decision.

On the surface, a KHovnanian home seems like a good deal, with the promise it's a quality home and the owners care about you. I had to find something in a hurry, otherwise I might not have made such a rash decision to buy one of their Quick Move Ins. First of all, from the sales team to their mortgage company, everything was rushed and the documents they needed were overwhelming and always an emergency. On the surface, the house appeared to be quality built, but once in, little things kept appearing that needed to be fixed or re-done. The project manager on site was helpful and responsive, and once I got the hang of the Warranty Portal, most of the time issues were resolved. My #1 issue is the design team of this particular model. For some obscure reason, they decided a very tall triple slider was a good idea. Well, it's not. Not only does it NOT come with a screen, it opens onto nothing but sod, and it's a good step down to get there. There is no view except for a 6-foot vinyl fence. So now at a huge expense for me, I have to find a contractor to build a patio, have a custom screen made, and fight with our horrible HOA via Tidewater. Otherwise, the back yard is useless for sitting and relaxing. Other design issues were in the master bathroom with only one short towel rod, no shelves or towel rods in the large shower, and a vanity light that wasn't centered between the two mirrors. I had numerous other issues, including the lack of irrigation and the location of the two hose bibs. One is inside the garage next to the door to the back entrance to the house, and the other out back by the A/C unit. Neither of them reaches my side yard without using multiple long hoses, which is a real pain to do! So, I decided to send a letter to Corporate HQ c/o the two Hovnanian owners. I have heard nothing from them or anyone else, so basically once you pay for your home, they really don't care about your comments or suggestions for a better design. If you buy one of their homes, please go over all the details with a fine-tooth comb! ... More

Homes are build well and offered at an affordable price point. I really like the layouts of the homes.

As a first-time homebuyer, Lynda was a great help with navigating the home buying process. She took the time to explain things to me and was very patient throughout the process. She would always respond to me in a timely manner. Our lender, Daniel, was also super helpful throughout this process. Overall, the whole KHOV team was very helpful, and I'm glad I chose to buy a house with this company.

Caleh was amazing. Response time was quick and always cordial and friendly. Warranty has been quick to respond to our issues and have always been professional. However, most everything in between left alot to be desired. House c was not move in ready and never got that way. We had to take care of things ourselves.

We loved our entire experience with K. Hovnanian in Cane Crossing Estates. The sales staff here is beyond exceptional! They go above and beyond and treat you like family. K. Hovnanian American Mortgage folks were also fantastic and incredibly helpful during the entire process! Since we purchased a quick move-in home we did not have the ability to work with construction during the entire home process. However, they were excellent during the final walkthrough process! We absolutely love living here!

very excited to have bought the house. I think that it came with a great price. Some of the materials used are better than expected. However, there were 5 different issues/repairs that I had to deal with over the past 3 months since buying the house. Responsive agents to inquiry and repairs depended on who has received the initial repair request. Therefore, the down grade of the trustworthiness stars. I think that the builder has good intention of delivering and using exceptional product and material, but the workmanship needs to be readdressed. We really love our new home. The professionalism of everyone was amazing. From the salesman, loan officers, builders and maintenance. The home finishes are great and we are well contented

The solar system that they put on the house is useless. The system should have had more panels and a power wall backup battery to be functional. So I had to upgrade right after moving in. The quarry that they state as not in operation is in full operation and they crush rock every night starting and 3am and it's very noisy!

Our dishwasher screws to the side so that the rubber seal is not flush and will tear eventually. The screws are not mounted at the top like most dishwashers bc they skimped out on plywood underneath the kitchen counter. We went around in circles for weeks with GE and KHOV about this until that was discovered to be the root cause. Frustrating. Also, the shower in the primary doesn’t contain the water and splashes out. Was told this was the design and they weren’t going to fix it. They point to the model home as the justification which just shows all the homes have the same problem. Also, there’s a hole on the sides of the garage to let in dust and insects, but again, they point to the model home for justification instead of fixing the issue. Be prepared to defend yourself and then be disappointed bc that’s just the way KHOV builds (pointing fingers to the model home, sales pointing at post sale warranty repairs after they get their commission - true sales people over here). ... My homebuying experience with K. Hovnanian had several challenges. I haven’t been in my home for six months yet and have already had to replace the refrigerator water filter. I also had to repeatedly request repairs for my A/C, which was not properly installed, along with issues involving the smoke detectors and garage door. I would have preferred ceiling fans in all rooms, as that is an added expense now. There are also some community concerns—the Cloverdale entry sign could be improved, and the exit gate design is problematic. It opens in a way that can potentially hit your vehicle when you pull forward for it to open. All in all, it is a beautiful home, and I am beyond grateful—just hopeful that these concerns can be addressed and improved for future homeowners. ... More

Buying this home was so smooth. Not one hiccup from contract to settlement. KHov has been great to work with. The homes have a one year warranty and I have had zero issues with the warranty process/department.

Finance options appear to be limited to Hovnanian's choice of lender for any builder incentives. Notwithstanding that, one could probably accept those terms if the person we dealt with in your Florida financing loan consideration office did not give us the impression that we were inconveniencing him and was totally indifferent and quite obnoxious. The on site sales person (David) was quite the gentleman and very helpful from all aspects. Since moving in Keith, the on site construction manager, and Chris the warranty individual, have been very accommodating and very responsive. Had it not been for the financing consideration disappointment the rating would have been excellent. We provide this opinion, not as a novice or first time home buyer, but from someone who has owned 13 homes in several states, 11 of which were new construction. ... More

We looked for months for a new build home and choose K HOV in Justin, Tx. Its been the best experience and they have exceeded all expections. If oyu are looking for a new home, anywhere, seach out K Hov. They are amazing, before, during and AFter the sale.

Great Warranty service team!!

Our entire experience with K. Hovanian has been a disappointment. We used K. Hovanian as our lender which was our first mistake. The incompetence of their lending department was breathtaking. It was hard hard to comprehend that this company could make so many errors and cause so much confusion. After we finally moved in, it turned out K. Hov installed a defective sump pump was lend to one inch of water in the crawlspace within 30 days of moving in. It took K. Hov three and one-half weeks to ensure all the water was gone, remove the mold and remediate the crawlspace. What a nightmare. Our present issue is that the sod laid is clearly substandard as evidenced by all the houses around us. I have requested that someone from K. Hov come and inspect our almost dead sod only to be told that it is not their responsibility to replace sod that is almost dead. We have been in the house three months, and are not looking forward to our next issue that probably will not be resolved. I would not recommend K. Hov to anyone. ... More
