The poorest quality home I have ever bought. It was supposed to be new but the quality of the crafmanship leaves a lot to be desired, specially the painting job, sloppy and poor quality paint. The paint over frames is full of crumbs, that will require sanding and repainting . I was told that buy as it is after I had put my downpayment. The person responsable for responding to issues was excellent, The windows would not open and they came and fixed them almost all. Problems with a breaker they also fixed, overall very responsive.

Scott the construction manager was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure my house was perfect! I was disappointed in sales though. I was told I’d get the welcome basket multiple times to never get it… I closed in April. :/ I waited almost a week because I wanted to announce with a picture of the basket on my counter… I ended up just posting a picture of something else.

We were so excited the moment we saw the model homes in our development. My wife and I both knew pretty quickly that the K. Hov homes at The Townes at Quail Ridge were perfect for us. It was fun and exciting to work with Peter to choose our options. Stopping by to see the progress made on our home was exciting too!

Love the house and the community. Staff was easy to deal with, and makes things right. Like most builders these days, though, First Time Quality has been sacrificed in favor of cost and schedule. Very responsive to warranty claims, but at this price point I wouldn't expect to have any. Also some logical options/upgrades for a 55+ community (e.g. washer/dryer pedestals, in-ground sprinkler systems, etc.) weren't even offered. They're "win/win" for the buyer and the builder, a markup without additional labor! Not a logical business decision. That said, house, location, and community are great. ... More

Buying experience was pleasant enough, but it's the quality of the materials and the workmanship that was a disappointment. It almost feels like the company purchased the lowest quality materials they could get in hopes that the buyer won't notice. From swapping out non Moen branded parts to appliances with small defects like scratches here and there to bathroom tiles scratches. So that brings you to wonder if it was the contractors installing that were not careful or did the products come already with defects? Buyers take your time when you do ALL YOUR WALKTHROUGHS.

We recently purchased a Khov home and the entire experience has been so great! The customer service is superior and our home is unique and beautiful! We were so impressed by the entire home buying process and are so glad we went with Khov!

Very Cheap materials. Everything in the house was the cheapest materials possible.

Less than 3 months moving into my new house, we have found a few issues. The newest one is a big crack on the ceiling above my living room. Another one is screw coming loose from a corner of my living room, and cabinets didn’t get glued in the first place.

Very cheap materials used. Final grading has debris that is left behind from construction including slate rock; yard is unusable unless you have an extra $10k to put into your yard so you can grow grass. Warranty department seems to take complaints personal; the main person seems to be more administrative than knowledgeable on home repairs/issues. There’s no communication on when things will be done and if they give you a date, they don’t follow it at all. There seems to be no leadership and no inspections after each trade. Spend your money elsewhere!

From the initial purchase to final move in, our purchase went without a hitch. Though not perfect, of course, the quality and value of our home has been very good. The builder’s team on the construction side just before and immediately after we moved in, was conscientious and helpful. We have been in our home for a short time, and, while we have a list of items that need attention, some have already been addressed in a decent timeframe.

Tanner was outstanding! He was a pleasure to work with. In the building and construction phase he was organized and kept me informed in each phase of construction. Clear, concise in answering my questions, always willing to assist. Professional and knowledgeable. He is truly an asset to the company and should be promoted to higher rank and responsibilities. In the contract, selection and availability of options Susan was not always well versed on availability or options. I feel as some options were available to me that I was not made aware of and would have wanted to have in my home that I did not get. ... More

Majority of the materials used interior (wood) is of not good quality. Few items were installed in a way that could cause danger to kids. Not at all happy with warranty team. Always give one or other reason for warranty tickets

During the sales process everything was amazing, the house itself is great. Now when it comes to getting things done and replaced. The representative for my community is not very communicative, says she will do something and doesn’t. Have talked to her several times and nothing gets done.

In addition to the HOA approval delays and utter ignorance, you held a get together for residents on a Saturday about a month ago at our clubhouse and myself and another neighbor weren’t invited! Pretty awful when we have to find out from the neighbors after it was over. I am signed up for every seascape alert, emails etc but that email/notification seemed to miss us. They are awful and that would be a reason for me not to recommend this community

I am extremely grateful to have moved to the Cloverdale community in Houston TX. Not only do I enjoy being able to call it home but more importantly I’m enjoying the way the house is built. Our community is still being built but I must commend the building team. They are very respectful and considerate as they work and are always willing to help and support me. Thank you

I have purchased a new construction townhouse with K. Hovnanian® Homes. I am extremely pleased with my home buying experience and also with post-closing customer care. It was my first time buying from a builder directly, and i was impressed with the whole process. I had a team on my side: from builder to mortgage company that led me each step of the process. I love the design, finishing choices and quality of my townhouse. I would buy again from K. Hovnanian® Homes! Highly recommend.

Be prepared to install all the ceiling fans and lighting. The only built in lighting is in the bathrooms n kitchen. The kitchen lighting would be great IFF there were multiple control swtches and circuits. There is only one circuit so all the lights come on. No separate switch for the island lightng. Under counter lighting works nicely as is on its own circuit. The porch deck is poorly thought out. Too small for normal deck chairs. Only enough room for one person. Flooring on deck is open plank and all the porches are vertically aligned so the drip upon each other. Many windows good natural lighting but only single sash. Can only clean the interior. Interior paint is the cheapest flat white paint available. We had to purchase high quality HIPA FAN/FILTERS to collect all the dust/flaking paint particles we stirred up as we moved in. We repainted both bathrooms with a high quality semi-gloss to avoid moisture problems. ... More

Builder did not have drip pan under AC unit causing ceiling saturated with water

Dealing with KHov was a pleasure. They were responsive and customer oriented. Samuel over saw our build and was knowledgeable and worked with us every step to completion. Samuel also kept the new builds clean and as orderly as possible for new home construction. Susan and Amanda were there every step of the way as well. The KHov homes stand out in the neighborhood because of their quality construction. Thank You James and Deb

Do NOT close until everything is perfect. They are unresponsive and ignore you after you close. My a/ c is broken My cabinet is chipped Holes in interior doors Outside stucco missing Wrong grout Uneven tile We have been in our new home for 3 months so far NOTHING has been fixed. Garage floor is leaking because it is tilted and we are getting water in the garage. Front door warped, does not close properly. Interior doors warped. Again, do not close until your home is perfect. We came for our final inspection and they had not even cleaned our home! Kept asking us to close and promised that “ we got you”. Yeah they “got us” ... More

Great experience. Will do it again

I am not receiving any mail from USPS. I have to forward my mail to another relatives residence because I am not able to receive my mail at my new home. I’ve never had this experience before. I am at the post office 1-2 times a week picking up my mail and getting yelled at by the post office for putting down 119 Old Irondale Rd as my address because that is the only chance I have in receiving my mail. The builder is ignoring this issue and not making it priority. I am paying bills late because I am not receiving my mail. The post office is secretly delivering mail to certain homes in my community. I am being told they are not allowed to deliver mail because we live in a construction zone and there’s a liability. Another person at the post office is saying they don’t have the key to the mailboxes. This is absolutely ridiculous and very frustrating! ... More
