The actual home-buying process and the people involved at first were great. However, now that I have lived in the home for almost three months I am disappointed with a lot of elements of the home. The workmanship does not match the price tag. There have been many issues we've already had to address with the warranty department (Steven is amazing!!), and others that have not yet been resolved. The contractors they used for the concrete (CGI) were an absolute mess. I had workers yelling at me on my property for trying to access the home I was living in, as well as cracks in my driveway on brand-new concrete that had just been left by their team. Whoever painted the inside of the house did not show any attention to detail, there are many imperfections throughout this home. Running paint left dried bumps on the wall where it is visible to a person at eye level, how do they miss that? The carpet transitions are terrible, I step on metal all of the time. The cleanup crew was a mess, there are STILL pencil marks on the LVP flooring I am finding throughout the house. My front door is dented and still not fixed, my garage door makes grinding noises when it opens, and so much more. I was so pleased with the staff I worked with in buying the home, but the rest of the process has left a lot to be desired for a nearly 600k price tag. ... More

It has been a great experience to live in the community. They keep everything well maintained. Very quiet.

Don't jump into anything. There are many new builds out there, with many new communities (and builders) to select from. Do your due diligence in researching before jumping into anything.

What a blessing, the whole experience !

As first time homebuyers, my husband and I expected a much better finshed product, however we were sadly disappointed. Khov's home building process is rushed and the workmanship is poor. The quality of the work does not reflect the "new constructed home" we dreamed about.

U may experience constructions around the areas can be annoying but overall the community is pretty great/ new homes/ safe/clean/ great landscaping/friendly neighbors

I was skeptical at first since I’ve purchased homes from Ryan homes, Stanley Martin, etc and they all had some major issues during inspection. I’ve also never heard of Khov until recently. We really liked the size and layout of the Khov townhome compared to a lot of townhomes that are built narrower and taller (to maximize the cost for space). They had a quick move-in home available at a pretty good price compared to other new construction townhomes. When we went through inspection, the inspection report showed pretty much no issues and they put things like “dust” to even make some sort of report lol they said the home was one of few that had pretty much no code violations or issues found. The contractor who did our walkthrough was so great to work with as well as the HOA manager. We’ve been living in our home for a few months so far and love it! We are very happy with our new home. The K Hov team bent backwards to assist us in choosing the right options and we are happy with the results. Ronda and Christian were especially amazing, thank you. We are happily settling into our new home.

Warranty manager is great but the house is way over priced

Heather, Scott and Ayla are awesome. We love our new home. A little disappointed the quality of some of the products used (paint, dry wall, wall texture, cabinets). They look great, but probably won’t last long. Drywall is very bad quality, things we hang on the wall don’t stay because the drywall can’t support a hook.

Everything part of the process was first class. Including the home itself. I could not be happier with the decision to go with this builder. I definitely recommend them for their patience with a first time home buyer

Experience was much smoother than anticipated. Design staff was great and patient - taking their time to explain all options. Building manager, John, was fantastic. Very helpful and always positive - providing updated information every week or whenever contacted. Any issues were presented immediately and he always had a solution. My satisfaction was always important and issues resolved in a very timely manner. The sales rep was always available for questions and provided answers. Overall, prior to purchasing my home - working with the builder was a good experience. However, it wasn't until I moved in that I found miscellaneous items that should have been fixed prior to me seeing the home. For example, I have spots of white paint on my gray walls - in several different places in my home. Because they are small and towards the celing areas, I didnt notice it during my walk through, Once I moved in - I reported it and was told paint is not under warranty. I am asking for mistakes made to be corrected and I was told no. I encourage the buyers to go through the home with a flash light because there was a lot of sloppiness in the work performed. If you dont catch it prior to closing, it will be a challenge to have it corrected. ... More

Ryan H was a great cm and wish we had him since day 1!

I’m pleased with my new home but certain issues were annoying. Only able to identify a few in walk through. The sod was laid very poorly with large gaps. Other homes were done correctly. No one was accountable. Dishwasher was missing parts and instead of replacing the parts were ordered. I had to request some manuals. After closing I noted numerous minor chips in the floor and locations indicate they were done on install. These will not be addressed.

Good overall. Everything is good quality, just some things a little rushed, but they're responsive with the fixing. Only downside is the price, as it is everywhere. Overall 4/5. Free upgrades I think it deserves for the price: installed smart thermostat, smart doorbell (so it's easy to replace), and at least one HVAC vent in the loft, since it's quite the pricy upgrade and it gets VERY hot in the summer, and VERY cold in the winter. My AC unit unfortunately doesn't heat/cool at the moment, so I might be extra bias on that one.

Our options regarding architectural design of the home were not explicit right from the beginning. The visit to the "Design Gallery" as well as the "Sight and Sound" agency, where selections of the "Digital Communication Systems (including Security and phone/internet providers), shapes, styles and quality of interior fixtures' materials and other "finishing" specifications ought to have been done and customers' preferences pinned down and priced out before binding Sales Contracts are signed. This is because we ultimately signed the sales contract agreement and paid the required deposit before visiting the "design Gallery where some of our needed selections were unavailable. The salesperson insisted that since the contract had been signed, our choices were limited to what were available. Otherwise, failure to choose from the available limited options, would lead to forfeiture of our deposit. Two toned interior painting of the home which was marked to us in the sales brochure, was discontinued when it was time to build our home. So only one tone color paint was used for our home. Thus we felt short changed. While waiting for completion of our home, the company in the interim, had a special sales program that lowered the sale price (by $38,000) of the same home model as we bought . The sales person refused to make any adjustment for us to synchronize with the advertised new sale price., This refusal occurred despite the fact that construction of our new home, was yet to start. It was nice that the builder completed the home construction on schedule and we moved in as planned. ... More

I love it! Struggling a bit with neighboring construction mess but it’s getting better.

Quality of workmanship is great. Locations is wonderful. People are nice.

Overall experience bot good and not so bad. First of all, I supposed to close on my house in 10/30/23 and I closed on 01/30/2024. Secondly, I had an electric issue and outage in my house. They sent electrician every time I requested wasn’t able to fix the problem for over 2 months. Outage happened few times while guests were there. I had to pay fine and they didn’t compensate me. Bad experience, bot recommended

Everything from the price to what’s included, to getting fixed done by warranty… the story keeps changing. Make sure you get everything in writing. They’ll still give you a hard time. “Oh did I say the appliances are included, sorry it’s $7k more!” “Management said we can’t fix your microwave anymore, I know it’s weird”.
