Difficult to get an accurate date for townhome to be completed. Unit is very well built structurally, layout is great. The finish work inside is average. Air conditioning unit wired incorrectly, many interior paint issues, all doors need to be worked. There are additional items. Working with warranty team. They are very responsive. Trades should take more pride in their workmanship.

She was both helpful and kind as on-site contact. My only disappointment was feeling like I was on a treadmill infant-forward during the purchase, mortgage process.

Grading around home is deficient and water accumulation especially on right side, one kitchen cabinet different from others and bad irrigation system is corroded and not functioning

The design and location of the home are excellent, just what we wanted. The building experience was limited in terms of choices and there was little flexibility about anything--We couldn't even ask them to leave something out if we didn't want it, we just had to remove it later ourselves. The workmanship seems to be good generally, although the drywall and painting finish work was OK at best. The builder does respond quickly to problems after the sale.

It was an incredible experience, as it marked my first foray into homeownership. It all began when a friend approached me, saying, come let me show you a new house; I’m certain you’ll love it. We headed to KHov’s office where we were greeted by a friendly individual who graciously attended to all our needs and provided thorough explanations. I am a first time home buyer and I was extremely excited and nervous to make the first major purchase of my life and to actually be able to do so. I didn’t have the best experience with Darren he is the person that we first encountered when we looked at the model home. He gave us what I thought was thorough information, but there were way to many discrepancies down the line and he didn’t own up to his mistakes which was annoying. The loan officer Burke was extremely rude. He made me feel as though me asking questions and or me clarifying information that he gave was annoying him to the point he was agreeing to things that I repeated back to him to clarify that was incorrect. And when later questioned he claimed I was the one that didn’t hear correctly. He was extremely rude nearly every time I spoke with him to the point I tried to limit it so that I didn’t talk myself out of purchasing my new home. Once in my home I noticed that things were missing screws and already falling off the wall there was no toilet tissue holder in the half bathroom and the kitchen sink has been loose since the day after moving in. The craftsmanship is very subpar at best however its an opportunity for me to put my spin on it but for the price you would think at least there would be a frame around the mirror in the bathroom at the least. My superintendent Jeremy was amazing he answered all my questions and any problems i have had he resolve my issue right away.

For the amount of monies that I paid to Town home, expected the quality of the workmanship and materials will be at least as good as my rental home. But observed issues with the house from day1. Actually, closed the house on 31st Oct and officially moved on 1st Jan. But observed door locking issues for all the doors and cracks in the staircase and shaky staircase created multiple problems such as fell down from top.

To start off there are only 2 outlets that were put in my entire basement. So I will eventually need to hire an electrician to install more outlets. The master bathroom had the cheapest worst looking single vanity I had ever seen. I had to buy a new double vanity to put in & hire a plumber. There is so much wind around that there is noises that happen right outside the master bedroom bathroom when it’s windy. They did not tell us about sealing our countertop in the kitchen so I had to learn the hard way. I figured they would have had the countertop already sealed for us when buying a new home, or at least tell us about it. There was also a wooden block stuck under our carpet for a while before somebody came out to remove. ... More

Moved in November 7, 2023. We could write a book about KHOV @ Crossing in Dunellen. Salesperson NEVER told us about the PILOT program thus we loose NJ Senior Tax discount and NJ Anchor program… a major financial hit. Salesperson NEVER told is the 2 BR Units were Handicap Adaptable… strange since there is NO first floor Bedroom and 16 steps to the 2 Bedrooms. Result if this lie: not undersink cabinet due to wheelchair access; a dishwasher that does not have a drying cycle; a first floor shower that cannot have a glass door to permit wheelchair access. Construction that is so bad that in a bit over 2 months all seams are open.. Don’t tell me settling! Wrong chalking was used…. happy to offer photo proof. Appliances and various home fixtures are the bottom of the bottom… dishwasher was not even anchored … first time we opened it the unit completely pulled out from under the counter ….lies - deceitful - A HABITAT FOR HUMANITY HOME IS A BETTER BUILD! Numerous calls to management to no avail…. if any consumer advocate want to take this on we are more than willing! ... More

I had a good experience and Devin was the best very understanding.

Used K. Hov expecting a different experience from other builders in the past. But it was about the same. The sales team was amazing, but the construction of the home is my issue. The quality of materials are faulty and super inexpensive. For the cost of the home, I shouldn't of had to call the warranty manager to fix multiple issues within the first month of owning a brand new home. While the warranty manager is very responsive and professional. She definitely has job security especially when the construction workers are working at night with hard hat lights to build homes.

We have been extremely pleased with the professionalism, prompt responsiveness, and overall attentiveness from everyone at K. Hovnanian, from the sales reps (Gene M. and Michael M.) to the onsite building staff (Dave L., Mike M.) and everyone we've encountered during our home purchase and move in.

This was the best and easiest one stop buying experience I have ever had. Simple, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable.

I was pleased to buy this house. Quickly that feeling passed after moving in. As stated in the title, the house has had many nagging structural issues. It’s like the builder found the cheapest materials and the least experienced construction workers to build this house. The door brace that leads to the garage wasn’t nailed down, the kitchen cabinet wasn’t nailed down; there was a gap between the door and wall that allowed crickets to enter the home, the floor strip between the bedroom and bathroom wasn’t secured; wholes between the wall and staircase; neglected to install a wall plate for the outlets in one of the bedrooms; nails are still sticking out in one of the bedrooms, now ceiling and wall is literally separating in multiple rooms.
