Great experience especially with Ryan Hudspath!!

House has a great layout. Material used for doors is really bad. No quality inspections were done by builder otherwise they would have noticed some obvious issues in the doors and walls. Once warranty claims were issued, took forever to address the issues. There has at least 3 different people that I have explained the warranty issues. With the price paid for the house you can expect better quality material and a better response to warranty claims.

Very pleased with condition of home and time spent on time going over the home. However move in date was changed multiple times which made our move from Texas much more stressful than we had hoped

We had a pretty nice experience throughout the home buying process, from the initial earnest payment, to the design choices, all the way to the final closing day. The people we interacted with throughout the process were very professional and knowledgeable about their respective work. The construction process however could be improved a little to be really great for the home buyer. For instance, our first builder representative resigned close to house completion, and although our second builder was great at picking up where the first builder left off (and even now still helps us with any issues the house has), it would've been great to stick with the same person the whole way through. The workmanship wasn't perfect, and we still found items that needed fixing even after closing, most of them were fairly minor (paint touch-up, missing caulking, etc.). But overall the main and important items such as insulation, electrical, plumbing, structure were constructed well and so far there hasn't been any problems after living in the house for a few months now. Overall our experience with both builder reps were excellent and helpful with getting any questions we had answered, or would at least get back to us with any questions they couldn't answer. We do believe that for the price we paid, the quality could've been a little better. The saving grace is the warranty that comes with the house so at least any issues found post-closing could be addressed through the warranty. In all, the overall experience was great. Just be sure to ask your builder rep as many questions as you can and don't be shy to voice something that you don't like, even if it's something minor. And if you're in a situation where construction is getting rushed right before closing day, be especially diligent with searching for any areas the building crew may have rushed through. The home has had a lot of items that needed to be fixed and some of the trades are slow to fix the problems. Months go by before they order replacement items.

The process from beginning to end was very smooth. The sales person was very good and the construction manager was even better!

This was our first time home buying experience and right after the earnest deposit, things started going south for us. Sales was never supportive and never informed about updates on time. Post closing, we realised the house is full of substandard material and seems they hired novice workers to build the house. Every time we have an issue with the house and lodge a complain, they send post sales maintenance person whose sole aim is to just close the ticket without working on it. He is the most unfriendly and unprofessional staff you will ever meet with and is a nightmare to deal with.

The garages are compact so take that into account. Insist on reviewing ALL terms and conditions (including the HOA guidelines) before you start the purchase. Don't be afraid to inquire about the overall site plan and schedule for the various phases of the community. But overall I am satisfied with the quality of our home constructed by K. Hovnanian. As a first time home buyer I learned a lot and the construction manager did a great job educating and informing me throughout the build process.

The Sales team looks always busy and don't spend enough time to explain all the options available. There is no separate project management or construction team we can contact about the construction details, you always need to contact Sales person for any updates who seems very busy. Some of the fixtures in the home like doors, bathroom fixtures etc. are not of great quality for the price paid. Their own mortgage team plays tricks and delay the rate locking so that buyer doesn't have a chance to think about other options.

Our sales agent Craig was wonderful! Very kind, nice and attentive to our questions which made the experience very pleasurable.

There was a lot of anxiety due to materials, building permits and other subcontractor delays. However, KHovnanian sales rep Russ kept me and my agent updated and encouraged me to stay the course. Once on track, project moved smoothly and at rapid pace. On my walkthrough I was pleased. My condo far exceeded my expectations. I’m so glad I was patient. Thank you Russ for your advice and expertise. Thanks KHovnaian for a beautiful home!

I had such a great buying experience. The sales office representives Gene and Michael were great. Very professional, kind and well versed in knowing their jobs. Very good and caring towards the buyers that was completely genuine. I commend them both for making my experience great inspite of the time it took for my condo unit to be built.

Too soon to evaluate the quality of materials. Only been here three months. We are concerned that much of the structure of the latest building being built needed to be torn down and is scheduled to be redone.

I would like to specially commend Paul for his help throughout the sales process. Construction team members Victor and Eric were very helpful. Also a callout to Matthew from Khov mortgage team, for overall responsiveness during the loan process.

I had a few issues when I moved it - scratched window, torn screen, off-kilter knobs, non-locking garage door, to name a few, and they were promptly dealt with.

Home buying went well home is mostly well designed, appliances are great. Have a few cosmetic issues, outside traffic noise is a little loud. Overall the property was worth purchasing.

Warning: After closing escrow on my new home in late September and after only two days as a home owner, a major plumbing issue was discovered. The plumbing wouldn't allow the toilet water to flush properly. I worked feverishly to minimize the damage after a flood. A plumber arrived and determined there was a blockage in the drain system that required jackhammering the foundation. The following day, a contractor arrived and inspected the drains with specialized camera equipment that confirmed the problem - a pipe fitting and cement blockage due to "improper installation and carelessness" had caused the problem This was missed by the contractors team when it was hastily thrown together and also missed by an inspector. After two and a half days of jackhammering and desicrating the new tile floors, the technician was able to show us the faulty pipes and installation. (see photos attached) It took approximately 3 weeks from the start of locating the problem, replacing the floors to clean up the mess. The entire house had to be scrubbed as the tile dust seeped into every cabinet and drawer. The contractor used mismatched tile and grout to conclude the project. Compared to the original tile that was laid, this job was inferior. Currently, we are still waiting on the master bedroom vanity that was destroyed from the water damage. (See attached photos) When we inspected the home for move in, there was an improperly installed door frame. The construction manager took notes and promised to fix it. I told him that the frame was damaged to the point where a full replacement was the only way to fix the problem properly. He replied “we’re going to nail it." The stucco at the base of the door frame was also not properly applied, causing the base to flare out. (See attached photos). After sharing my concern, I was confident the repair would be properly fixed. Sadly, two days later, the contractor patched the door frame using his one nail method. It was horribly evident that there was a patch instead of a replacement. I pointed this out to a Senior K. Hovanian senior manager that came out to meet with me over the door frame and several other quality concerns, he agreed with me that it was not leveled and properly repaired. We are in November, and my calls for replacement and repairs have either been ignored or handled in a slow and unprofessionally and unacceptable way. It's been well over a month since the close of escrow. The excitement and anticipation that my daughter displayed a month ago has been snuffed out. Her dream of walking into her first house, crisp, clean, and untouched has been replaced with anxiety and disappointment. The promises made to her by a misleading K Hovnanian management team have been a harsh dose of reality that she had to learn too soon. We are also dealing with a list of other issues that are being addressed with the same lack of urgency. The list follows: Wall stains, multicolor walls, patch painting, poor wall textures, dented front entry door, poor paint finishing, missing baseboard trim, poor baseboard installation, misalignment of ceiling light trim, poor stucco quality finishing, cement splatter of wood trim, poor stucco repair, scratched/damaged exterior lighting fixture, bathtub repairs, and an extreme amount of construction debris surrounding the home itself. ... From the start Alyse ask what price and floor plan was the desire of our hearts. As we were picking out what we wanted/ must haves in the home she suggested we just go with our wants and at the end of all the choices, she tallied up the price. We were within $2000. If was great that we could get all that we wanted in this new home. She spent plenty of time with us and left the decisions up to us and at no point try to pressure us. We were in our last home for 27 years and even though it was tough to leave those memories behind it is great to start new one's in our beautiful new home. Nick our contractor for the building of our new home, walked us through the process of what we could expect. He provided weekly updates as well as meeting and covering items on the as needed basis. He would listen to questions from my wife and made sure she understood his response so she had a clear picture of the way forward. Alyse and Nick both went above and beyond what I would consider their normal job duties to keep us informed and make us feel like "family" from the start of building what we consider our forever home.
