From day one of walking into the sales office to make inquiries through the last day of receiving our gold key we enjoyed working with KHOV in building our dream home. The process was smooth and everyone involved with us have been highly professional and sweet. After moving into our home we discovered a few issues (which is normal with new builds) and the company has been prompt in helping us fix it. We love working with KHOV and will definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone who is looking to buy their dream home.

Noticed lots of imperfections. Sub contractors need not rush and project managers need to keep close eye before signing off. We found lots of issue. Very basic but important ones. Would NOT recommend K.Hovnanian homes to anyone. Sorry!!!

We bought a townhome in Chantilly. The process was easy, and there were no issues. The warranty has also been very helpful and quick in terms of response time.

All the people involved were very responsive. We have built 12 homes with different builders and this staff was one of the best!

The entire staff was excellent. Communication and follow up threw the entire process was top notch.

Home is not worth the price paid. For a million dollar home i expected there to be some good finishes but as i live in the home i notice there are some things that could be improved on.

Get all pre closing issues in writing. Craftsmanship is not on par with price of home.

The home is livable, though there are many things that I will address moving forward as far as finishing trim, crooked sliding glass door, concrete work, and flooring unevenness. When paying top dollar for a home, it is expected that there is attention paid to detail by the builder. When we have reported issues, we have had a great experience with the maintenance folks.

Since purchasing the home, I have experienced so many issues. I was told by the contractor (Nomo) to contact him for any issues. He has been extremely slow with responses and completely incompetent in resolving any issue since purchasing the home. There is no communication whatsoever. I have purchased homes from multiple builders and have never been this unsatisfied. The home buying experience has been so bad and I regret buying a home from K. Hovnanian. I have escalated issues to Nomo’s boss, Gary, and it too has resulted in delays with getting important issues resolved. The post purchase support with K. Hovnanian is completely inadequate. overall issue after issue quality poor honesty poor no happy about my hone buying experience

Process was draining, lots of broken promises, still fighting HOA to get a fence we were promised, the time it takes to fix things in the house. I feel like my unit being the first one up was rushed!

We love our new home. K hov uses high quality materials and it is a strong build. The map fit our needs perfectly. Rick and Keith were great but the people working for the contractors often do not follow through with instructions and there were several unfinished things even at the time of closing. I just wish they would refine the finishing touches without us having to ask so many times.

Every builder is, of course, at the mercy of the local trades; but what sets builders apart is how they fix and take care of issues with the build. KHOV does this. They take care of the issues/make sure they get taken care of, and are responsive and agreeable with regard to fixing the inevitable issues that arise from the local trades. Overall, a great home and a great builder.

Bad company, does poor work and uses cheap materials yet charges alot for their homes, so disappointed I ever bought a home from this company

Upgrades are not worth the money. You can get more quality work done by other contractors. Khov could have used more quality paint job, finishing garage and better bathroom fixtures

KHov has a good model selection to choose from. Through out the process the communication was not that great related to delay in closing date. Once we moved into the house, issues resolution seems to take for ever. We’re still waiting for fixes that were reported 3 months ago! Paint job was average and floor needed to be cleaned several times!

We love our new condo. It is beautiful and comfortable. The people working with us during construction were friendly and helpful. The reason for the lower rating is for two reasons. First, the construction was delayed 10 months later than the timeline we were originally given, which cost us a huge amount to store all of our our household goods and to pay for temporary housing. Second, the floor had damage upon move in, leading me to believe it is a cheaper product.

Overall, things seem okay as we begin to live in our home. I see quality issues on on some things such as fencing, the shape our grass was in when we moved in (dead), and the wash out of the dirt in our yard after a big storm that wasn't replaced before putting in the grass. Unhappy with the fact that the bathrooms don't have a medicine cabinet or towel holders. Something new homeowners shouldn't have to worry about installing or ordering. After moving in and starting to put away things in the kitchen cabinets, I noticed they are not normal sized cabinets as far as width. I cook a lot and I have no space for my larger pots and pans. It's a problem. And lastly, there are no cabinets in the laundry room. One set above the washer would be relatively inexpensive, but be very beneficial to homeowners to hideaway laundry items. ...
