The builder up holds his word on corrective action. Building flaws are inherent in all builders as the nature of the business is. But all in all they were diligent in all issues. Cosmetics, building structure, Supply chain issues of the past. A builder who can weather what these times can throw at the them. Quality.

I had a great experience with K.Hov as a first time home buyer. Not knowing what to expect or should expect with the process, K.Hov made it easy and provided a high level of customer service along the way. Everyone has been nice, responsive, and have done the right thing when questions have come up after the sale.

This was the worst buying experience from the beginning to the end, the experience was a headache. The whole team from the sales people Erica, the building manager Joe were arrogant, dishonest, and rude. The house was falling apart soon as we moved in. No one seems to care about where things are placed or how things are done. Lots of errors, mistakes and break downs were found after moving in. Quality of the materials and labor used in building the house was very cheap. The overall experience was dissatisfying to us.

The salesman I was unfortunately doing business with made used car salesmen look like paragons of virtue and truth. Nothing and I mean NOTHING this conman said was even remotely connected to the truth. Maybe this is what K Hov wants in its sales force to get inventory moved by hook or crook but I can't imagine this type of behavior will not come without severe loss of reputation. This is supposed to be a highlight to one's life but my experience was anything but. If i could have given less than zero on trustworthiness I absolutely would have done so.

After leaving military service, my wife and I wanted to move back home to Texas from our last duty stations. We bought a new construction home as a forever home which now we cannot wait to leave. The sales(buying) experience was terrible. This is not our first home so we knew how things should go. K. Hovnanian will pressure you and give you zero time to consider their offers. I wasn't even sure I had a solid job offer (wife got her job first) and the offer they gave us on a Saturday night was only valid through Sunday, I begged them to give me until noon Monday so I could confirm employment. They said no. They will pressure you into their mortgage broker, and ask for all pertinent documents last second. We were on the road traveling from the east coast, we told them weeks ahead of time when we were moving so make sure all the documents were received before then. They called us on the road demanding we give them whatever document or else they couldn't promise we could move in when we agreed. They will also sell your mortgage within a week of your purchase so don't expect to deal with them long term for your mortgage. They also will not be present at closing and will not give the keys to the broker. You will sign for your home and not have access to it until they are available to give you YOUR keys. Then the construction. Every single door in our house has damage on it. Many of them did not sit square before any of the settling occurred. Knicks, cuts, dings in the drywall prior to our move in. Many of the light switches are wired backwards which I will now have to go behind them and fix. The floors were dirty, the whole interior was covered with sawdust, grout dust, and whatever else. Many places on our floor were over grouted, our tiles in the kitchen and bathroom had huge grout gaps and were not set flush. So many things in our house are off square that it is glaringly annoying. When they come to fix issues, they will do it in a way that causes another problem. Example: the office French doors were so far off square the one door did not sit in the other. So they came to fix it. All he did was loosen one screw on the strike plate and lower the plate slightly. Now the door drags the other door when you open or close because the wood contacts the bottom of the plate. But hey, at least it doesn't just push open! K. Hovnanian does not care if the product you receive is worth the money you pay. Our old home was 25 years old when we bought it 11 years ago and it had less issues than this 2023 new construction. I could give you dozens of reasons to stay away from a K. Hovnanian construction, but no one has the time to read a Charles Dickens novel on the internet. The process of building the house was pretty good even though much of it had to be done from out of state. Nick in sales was very responsive and accommodating. The build was done 1 month early which was a major benefit for our family. The process of buying was smooth with Khov financing even though our 1st payment never went to Khov because they sold the loan the day after we signed. The warranty support has been prompt. The longer we are in it, though, the more we can tell that the quality of work in some places is sloppy. (Ex. tile work in the bathrooms, carpet laid over trash, missed painting over primer, the finishing work like caulking throughout the home, overall attention to detail, etc). You can also tell when you get a closer look, some of the materials used are not quality products (ex. the top tier carpet is still builder grade, some of the wood work is pressed boards, etc). Jackie was helpful through the process and made buying a new home a great experience. Tyler was also there to answer our questions and deal with anything that we needed. We were very happy with the service they gave us from start to finish.

The entire process from start to finish was tedious as far as getting all the required documentation but the staff was patient and helpful as far as guiding you in getting it done in a timely manner The home is simple but elegant with quality in mind. The team was always there for you to answer your questions in a timely manner. The builder did is best to offer you a beautiful home despite the higher home cost, climbing tax rate, shortage of materials needed and increase in labor cost

Overall exciting process, would have preferred more options for fixtures, bathrooms, and appliances, decent value for the money regarding supply chain issues. A bring your own appliance would be nice.

Good responsiveness to taking care of things once we moved in but excessive delay in completing condo (10 months) and lack of information along the way created an overall poor experience.

Condo building is not very senior citizen friendly - garages too narrow, doors to trash & storage rooms & garages are not handicap accessible. Even if you are not handicapped, the narrow garages making getting out of a medium-sized SUV very difficult and doors in common areas are heavy to open, and if you have something in your hands, forget it. Three of my neighbors have had issues in first 90 days with their units as have we. Issues were fixed, but not a pleasant experience.

Everything is great. Warranty is good to work with as well.

Everyone was very helpful throughout the whole process and answered all questions. Everyone also helped understand any information that was given.

My experience with the sales staff was fantastic. Diana and Connie were both very knowledgeable and extremely helpful.

Still waiting for all of the repairs to be made that we marked with blue tape the week before I received the keys. The flood in the laundry room caused by lazy workmanship and the lack of timely repairs was a nice added bonus.. Must have put 40 pieces of tape on drywall and throughout the entire house and not one was addressed..

This is our second K. Hov home and we love it! The location, lot, floor plan and nature experience was outstanding! Lisa Marti is incredible to work with and truly knows the ends and outs. Kade the builder is knowledgeable and honestly like family at this point. He makes sure everything is up to par and beyond. The personal attention and willingness to exceed expectations is unmatched! Highly recommend.

This is our 5th home purchase and by far the easiest. From our Sales Rep, Mortgage Rep, Closing Rep to our Construction Manager they made this Home purchase worth it. We got more square footage and upgrades for less than what we were looking at with Pulte in the same area. Every home new or old needs something corrected. We only had very minor issues that were quickly corrected. We highly recommend K Hovnanian.

The people have been great to work with and quick to fix any issues! I appreciate the honest communication and the desire to make it a great experience! A little disappointed in the paint job but they have been quick to come out and fix that as well! It's nice to work with a team that actually cares and wants to see happy customers!

We are extremely happy with Charlotte and Jeanine. They represent your company very well. We are unfortunately, somewhat unhappy with the workmanship of the new build. It appears the superintendent was not paying attention when the home was built. We have talked with the neighbors and they have experienced almost the same problems. But Jeanine and Charlotte have been able to resolve them. They have been very responsive.

We love our new home. The experience was turnkey and very smooth and seamless. I appreciate the beautiful craftsmanship of our new home.

Quality of maters and workmanship is below my expectations.

Overall a pleasant experience. We had some concerns or issues arise but the Builder was quick in their response to correct.

Its a great experience buying a new house and the first day we signed the contract was norhing short. The closing was smooth with most of the issues taken care of before and some after. There are still some issues and quirks that we are realizing and I am sure it would be taken care but wish the builders were thoughtful in the design and quality of construction. The construction area was always dirty and we are seeing aideeffects of yhe same 4 mobths after closing with windows stained and drawers not sliding. These are minor though but could have been taken care of. The builders mortgage company ensured that they took back every dime that was allocated for a closing costs, very sly and cunning trick. But then everybody is trying to get every dime out of the customers pocket. All in all. I am happy with this place we call home. ... More
