We live in a new development and we currently have a home being built on either side of our brand new house. The people working on the houses have zero concern for the family living in the house next to where they are working, constantly picking up trash around our yard front and back, we have had our cable line destroyed, large chunks cut out of our front yard and a huge area of our side yard has been absolutely destroyed due to the builders not laying the gas line correctly and having to have it all dug up and replaced. When we have reported what is happening nothing is ever done about it.

Our home is beautiful and we are overall happy with it. As with all new buildings we had a few issues that were promptly repaired and resolved.

Home buying process went well.

I have had one major issue with the house and the warranty executive was dismissive and unhelpful. Luckily the construction team took my problem seriously and fixed the issue, I.e. no insulation in the house! I’m concerned about working with warranty again as the representative was disrespectful. Other than that, I’m happy with the house and the sales department was very good.

The khov folks did a great job of building our new home, keeping in touch with us, and made sure that everything went smoothly up to closing. It was done in a quite hassle-free and timely fashion. So, I am very happy with the experience.

Me and my husband had our first home built, and it was a very smooth and easy process. All of our questions and concerns were addressed pretty quickly throughout the whole process.

I don’t believe the contractors involved in the building of my home paid attention to detail. Their work showed lack of respect to their trade. After almost three months, we still have items that are being addressed. We had to move in before the high impact windows were installed even though this was an original design of my house. Some of the materials used in building my house seem inferior to a house of this price.

The entire purchase to move-in was very easy, our sales person was helpful in any questions we had. During our walk throughs the builder was helping us point out any issues he saw that needed to be addressed and everything was handled by our final walk through. After moving in there were a few items we noticed and the builder was very responsive and addressed the issues timely. Overall it was a great experience.

I was suddenly widowed when my husband died from an illness he received from his combat tours in Iraq. I decided it would be best for the kids and I to move to Maricopa to be closer to family. It was one of the most difficult times in my life and the staff at K Hov were so supportive and understanding. My sales representative Daniel was a Veteran and was truly fantastic. He found me the right house at the right price. I acknowledge and appreciate the great lengths he went to get the discounts I received. I would have never been able to afford the house otherwise. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Daniel and his management team. The building staff at K Hov are phenomenal, unlike any crew I have ever experienced. I have built with other builders in the past, but NEVER had so much communication. I knew what was happening every step of the way and was always welcomed to come check on the build. My site manager Anthony was professional, friendly, and reliable. He clearly explained the mechanics of the house without sounding like he is talking down to me. I was also impressed by the amount of respect he had for his crew members and knew if he treated his people with such care, my house was certainly in good hands. Thank you Anthony and crew for making the process seemless. I was very impressed with all the modern features that were included in my home’s base price (white cabinets, tall baseboards, smooth walls with sharp corners, gas grill hook up, etc). The add on’s like blinds, counter upgrade, hardware, etc. were much more affordable then my last build with Taylor Morrison. I’m not sure K Hov is doing it, but their prices are magic. Richmond America’s base price for a similar lot with less square footage and one less bedroom was about $100,000 more than K Hov’s and did not have the modern elements included. I could not be more pleased with my house. A few minor issues have arose but they have been taken care of within a few days. This is worse quality . I had so many issues within few Months of moving in . Stay away from this builder !!!

Worst homebuying experience. Many issues.

Quality of this home is not what I expected.I had an irrigation system leak for a month in the yard and driveway that was soaked so bad youcan’t walk on it ,one of the leaks was spraying at the front door.After emailing and calling for a month it was finally resolved .The home have exterior doors not sealing properly causing bugs to enter.Some of the tile are cracked mail pops in the walls garage door binds when opening,Some interior doors not closing properly/a/c system not balanced properly hot upstairs in some of the bedrooms.

From the sales experience with Josh and Vicky to the construction experience initially with Dave and then brought to a perfect completion by Giusseppe, I really felt that I picked out everything that I could want in the home and it was delivered on time with perfection. Any minor post closing items were handled quickly by Giuseppe and any questions about the house were answered by both Josh and Vicky. And I still love the instagram videos by Vicky. The Mortgage company with Tammy, Harold and Linda during such a rocky time for interest rates were so helpful and patient. Thank you!! I just wish I could stay at home and play and never work!!! ... This has been a bad experience and continues to be, I wouldn’t recommend this developer. Lied to every step of the way, if I could have got my deposit back I would have went elsewhere. The best single word to describe everything. Incompetent

I have been frustrated and burdened with the lack of quality workmanship in the townhome we paid for in Stuart, Florida at the Preserve at Avonlea. Monica, the salesperson, was wonderful to work with along with Jim Carroll as Community Manager/Liason after the sale closed. Beyond these two people, I have been unimpressed with the professionalism and customer care/support of the K. Hovnanian team who is sold strongly with the brand and your unit upon purchasing. Very disappointed...and I work in the real estate industry and manage 200 agents along with 650 total in our company. This is the 3rd new construction home I have purchased (4th overall), but the first from KHovnanian, and the first in the south. This has been by far the worst experience I've ever had. The builder lied, strongly stretched the truth, or feigned ignorance about many different things; the house wasn't ready at closing; and I've spent three months going through the warranty department to get the house to the condition it should have been in when I bought it (not perfect by any means, but livable). Given what has already gone wrong, I'm certain more will go wrong, but the warranty department has at least assisted as much as possible in rectifying the issues I had at closing or since then. I am not happy with my experience or lack of quality work or any attention to detail on my home. If I wanted to put this much work into a home, I would have bought a resale. Whoever buys my home someday will get a great home, but that will be because of what I did to fix it and make it and not better and not because of how I purchased it. ... More

Lies, shady tactics, and false promises. Offer ZERO options, no follow through, once you sign you are immediately forgotten about. Will never recommend KHov nor will I ever build with KHov again

I had too many issues with my home

I am extremely disappointed with the sale department's abysmal level of service. The lack of coordination between departments during the transition process was not only frustrating but also a clear indication of their negligence. Documents not being properly handed over to the closing department resulted in unnecessary headaches. The closing personel Michelle took out her frustration the buyer when it's clearly the seller lack of responsibility. Furthermore, the sale person , Steve, inability to respond to customer emails in a timely manner is inexcusable. Waiting for days to receive a response is not only unprofessional but also reflects a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. This entire experience has been a testament to their incompetence and lack of commitment to their clients. I strongly advise anyone considering working with this department to think twice before subjecting themselves to such a disorganized and unresponsive ordeal. The only good thing is the person Ryan, who did the walk thru is very responsive and kept up with all the agenda. ... More

Sales person was awesome. Warranty dept. Has been nothing but broken promise after broken promise. Not one item on a long list has really been addressed yet. After they receive the check, they forget about the new homeowner. It has been very frustrating to say the least, nothing like what was promised.
