K. Hovnanian® Homes Reviews

Overall this was an excellent experience. Just remember you are NOT purchasing a custom home at $400 per square foot. This is a production home built by very experienced professionals. Our home construction was supervised by very experienced and knowledgable managers. It was delivered 6 weeks early. We budgeted the customized features by others after closing. All phases of sales, construction and service are streamlined and tightly controlled. Khov delivers amazing value for the $$! Watching our neighbors homes being built is amazing. Efficiency, quality control and scheduling is paramount. Khov uses every effort to control costs, schedule and quality. After the closing service is very good- just know how to implement it. ... They installed the dead sod in lawn and never replaced. The house was super dirty when we moved.

I was so excited in purchasing this home but wish I had a chance to decorate.

Great all around service

If you are ok with minimizing upgrades, this is an easy buying experience. Often the upgrades with builders cost too much, because the cost of providing those alternatives make upgrades too expensive. In this case the Farmhouse upgrades are classic and most are current design pluses. The price of the home is superior to other builders in area. And, I love working with the K. Hov. employees.

K. Hovnanian provides best floor plans and plenty of upgrade options for the homebuyers. Our buying experience with K. Hovnanian was pleasant.

The overall experience of buying our house was awesome . The staff was very professional and personable . They definitely listened to what our needs were.

We are first time home builders and the experience was so seamless and stress free. The main contacts we had were extremely responsive and so kind. The home itself is built very well. My family has been in construction for over 40 years and everyone has commented how well the home was put together. Overall I’ll never want to buy from anyone else - absolutely perfect!

Every thing is good thanks so much K.Hovnanian Homes

They are building homes in hurry and so missing quality

The Looks options make it easy. Linda the sales rep. Is awesome and helps you through every step of the process. Ross the in house lender is super helpful in setting you up with a plan that works for you. Even after closing the service team is super responsive to fixing any issue that comes up.

Never buy a home from Khov ever again! Worst built quality… even small contractors can build better homes than them.

I had very few problems after moving in and when I did Chris immediately returned my call and took care of it.

My K. Hovnanian home is top quality. Can't compliment the construction manager Aaron enough. He was amazing to work with, he guided me through the process of building the house and worked with me on few requests with moving light fixtures around. My experience with K. Hovnanian was a great experience overall. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Gene is knowledgeable salesman that is easy to work with. He's friendly and goes out of his way to answer questions and always gets back to you right away, even on his days off. I would gladly work with Gene again.

There are multiple problems with my home. When they placed the bottom plate on the door, they sheared it off and just stucco it it. There is paint and tape adhesive all over my windows. The gutter is dent inward and outward, totally not smooth and normal looking. There is stucco all over the water faucet in the backyard that I can’t even turn the water off, I have to keep a hose with a sprayer on the end of the hose, so it won’t leak. There are boot prints all over the walls and ceiling in the garage. The pole in the garage in front of the water heater is not straight and I have to keep something wrapped around it, or the side garage door hits it. All the hands and the thermostat on the wall is crooked. Out front the flashing (the metal part) is bent, pieced together, sharp, with gaps in them. The stucco around the door outside the garage already has gaps in it. The grout in the shower is already cracked in the corner. The bricks on the front wall in the front of the house are cracked. There are 3 holes in the concrete in front of the house and part of one corner is cracked. Paying close to $600,000 you would expect much better quality of home. So incredibly disappointed. ... More

The entire team has gone above and beyond to make themselves available, to show me benefits I wasn’t aware of and to fix any issues I may have as quickly as possible. Ashley and Wyatt have made the home buying experience infinitely greater than it could’ve been.

Kudos to Khovnanian Team for making possible to get our 1st Home. Everyone is very helpful, we had a smooth & easy process of getting a home. Shout out to Shannon & John Scott for awesome job

The sales and construction team were the best, they were always responsive, resourceful, and available to help. The sales team made this experience smooth, providing the information needed and support in a very human and professional manner.

Poor quality of fixtures, cabinets and workmanship. Toiilets and sinks in bath not centered. Cheap workmanship

Work crew and sale rep was very helpful and did a great job It made home buying quick and painless

Not satisfied with overall workmanship and quality of the house. 1 year warranty is a joke, usually they delay service request or does a simple bandaid . Again we have to put in requests for the same work.

We had a great experience buying from Khov. Karen Miller was friendly and easy to get ahold of, Kristin, Jeff and Dave always made time to answer our questions and even fixed the floor we messed up moving in! We will definitely recommend Khov to family and friends looking to buy new :)

There were so many issues in home

Buying this house was a pleasure. The salesperson was great and the construction manager was very attentive. I love the design. The 9-foot ceilings make it feel big and the open-concept kitchen/dining/living room is great. My one qualm is the quality of the paint. I oversaw the repainting of every room in my old place, using Benjamin Moore or Behr or Valspar paints. The paint here is thin. The semigloss is hard to wipe clean and the flat paint is easy to scratch. I expect in years to come I will begin to have the rooms repainted. Otherwise, though, it's a great house and I can't believe it's mine! ... More
